Increase Your Faith (3/5/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and praise be to God! I'm happy to say that I have fully recovered from that bug that was tryna claim defeat over me the past few weeks. I used last Thursday and Friday to rest, as my body had become overwhelmingly drained from being under the weather. However, now we need to lift up my basileus Mary Howard in prayer for full recovery of her ailments. Also, one of my classmates will be in surgery tomorrow, so let's pray for him as well, his name is Steven Newkirk. There is someone whom I know I am forgetting, but it's pressed upon me to pray for this individual... charge it to my brain and not my heart, for his or her name has slipped my mind, so please pray as the Spirit leads, thanks in advance. Anyway, yall would never believe where I found my book The Tongue - A Creative Force by Charles Capps, in the storage bench of my nook in my dining area. I dunno what I was looking for at the time, but ran across my book. God is great! I'm pretty sure my mom is responsible, she likes to rearrange things when she visits, since I have a tendency to have things in no particular arrangement, LOL. Thanks Mom! So, finally we are gonna get back to our Power of the Tongue Series. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversityGod Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

Ok, so apparently, I hadn't seen this book since December of last year, WOW! So let's recap on our last lesson from our Power of the Tongue series. In our last lesson, entitled "Harvest Follows," we learned that God's word ALWAYS works, but spiritual law can work for or against you, depending on how YOU apply it. Sometimes we look at other people whom we stereotype as wicked or evil, and we wonder why things are always looking up for them or how good things always seem to make their way to the selfish, arrogant, jerk's doorstep. The difference between the successful wicked man and the kind-hearted poverty stricken man, is that the evil-hearted BELIEVE they WILL prosper; they build a faith image inside themselves by the words they speak. It's not that they are bragging, it's that they simply believe in prosperity and practice it, whether they are aware of it or not, they have applied spiritual law effectively. The words YOU speak are seeds that produce after their kind. Just as sure as they are planted, you can be equally sure a harvest will follow. Luke 17:5-6 says, "The Apostles said to the Lord, "Show us how to increase our faith." The Lord answered, "If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, 'may you be uprooted and thrown into the sea,' and it would obey you!" Jesus didn't acknowledge their desire or "need" for more faith, He simply suggested their need to sow the seed they already have. There are two points Jesus makes in this passage, (1) faith is a seed, and (2) the way YOU plant Your seed of faith is by saying itWhen faith is spoken into existence, is talks faith NOT fear and unbelief. Therefore, if YOU use YOUR voice of authority in FAITH, the spiritual law says that YOU have the ability in your words to "speak those things that be not as though they were." But do not forget that ultimately, God's will be done, so IF your will doesn't fall in line with the word of God, then neither will your words. (Capps, C. Prayer of the Day:
Father God we enter into your presence with thanksgiving, humbly submitting our praise and gratefulness of your mercies and everlasting grace. We thank you for deliverance, restoration, the peace that passeth all understanding, for strength, and the ability to discern your will over satan's manipulative schemes. Father God we thank you now for overseeing Steven's successful surgery, and for providing he and Mary with a speedy and full recovery, and relief from any discomfort they may be feeling. Father God we also pray for those who have no voice, and those who are etched on our heart, but whose name has slipped our mind; you know their need, we thank you for blessing them accordingly. We thank you for an eye opening revelation of your power, your individual message and mission to each of us specifically. We thank you for the authority you have given us in our words to claim victory over the enemy, and to claim positive outcomes into our lives and the lives of others. Lord you know the individuals whom we are directly linked to, and those we are indirectly connected to, by way of fellowship and word of mouth; bless each one specifically in accordance to their need and your will. We thank you for another opportunity to share your Gospel, and share our blessings with others, that we may always bring honor and glory to your name. We thank you that although the obstacle may seem too big, we know that with faith as small as a mustard seed, we can have assurance that we can demand that problem be removed. We thank you for allowing us the ability to deny the enemy, his evil spirits, and his ailments the right to exist in our lives. We thank you for your continued protection and for forgiveness. We ask that ultimately Father, thy will be done in our individual lives. We thank you for removing the covers of every circumstance, to shed light on our various situations. This is our affirmation of faith, in the Holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
