Right Confession (11/30/11)

Greetings Everyone,
All praise be to God! I know it's been a while, and I appreciate all of your prayers and concern. Although I haven't been the best stewardess, know that despite my inconsistency with the SOD, I have remembered to pray for each request that was extended to me during my leave of absence from the production of the SOD. As stated before, I am not in a rut or anything, just trying to adjust to being back in school while still trying to establish a consistent sleep pattern. I had initially planned to send off and SOD on Monday, but I have been doped up on hot toddies and Nyquil the past few days. Allz I gotta say is, "the power of the tongue"; I was under the weather for two days, I am way better today. STOP accepting defeat from the enemy and continue to pray for one another and speak your desired outcome into every situation. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

Most people are defeated in life because they believe and confess the wrong things. They have spoken the words of the enemy which now hold them bondage. Proverbs 6:2 (NIV) says, "you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth." Faith-filled words will put you over, while fear-filled words will claim defeat over you. WORDS are the most powerful thing in our universe; God created this universe with His spoken word. "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear" (Hebrews 11:3 - KJV)We are because God is; everything produces after its kind, and God spoke everything that is, into existence. John 1:1-3 (NLT)says, "In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him." Notice the personification used in reference to the "word"; once God spoke faith-filled words, He placed authority into those Words, thus setting His desired results into motion. EVERYTHING was created by GOD through HIS WORD! God passed on that same authority to each of us; with the right confessions, YOU can speak life or death into every situation you are faced with, and by the power and authority in YOUR words, YOU can claim victory or defeat when faced with adversity. God's word says, "...if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!" (John 15:7 - NLT) (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, OklahomaHarrison House, 1976.)

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and strength. We thank you for giving us back the strength and faith in our ability to use our words to produce favorable outcomes. We thank you that we are redeemed, and are able to reverse the negativity we once spoke into existence. Today we deny the right of the enemy to exist in our lives. We thank you for removing our heavy burdens. Hallelujah Father, we thank you that you for the authority in our words. We thank you for another opportunity today to correct those things in our lives that require an adjustment. We thank you Father for being everything we need. We thank you that our worries are no more, that our struggles are no more, that our pain is no more, and that our suffering is no more. Father God we thank you for the ability to stand firm, even in the test of trials. We thank you for the discernment to know when the enemy is afoot, and for the strength to take control through our faith-filled words. We thank you for taming our tongue, that every confession we make, and every word we speak, will be right and pleasing to you. We thank you that no weapon formed against us will prosper. We thank you for your continued blessings of protection, and we thank you for the peace that passeth all understanding. This is our affirmation of faith Father God, we submit to you in the name of Jesus, Amen!

YOUR WORDS (11/21/11)

Greetings Everyone,
I know it's been a while since you've received the SOD, but understand that it's not because I'm in a rut or anything. School is just a lot more demanding than I anticipated, I suppose that's what I get for taking a year break. Anyway, due to my sleep habits, commute, and other minor factors, I don't really utilize all of my time most effectively. Instead, I take naps that are more like hibernation, and on my weekends and days off, instead of doing homework or typing the SOD, my body spend hours tying to compensate for all the lost sleep. When I finally get down to business, I'm barely making the deadline to submit my assignments, and can forget about getting up by 2:30am for work if I stay up past midnight to type the daily scripture. But don't fret, I'm working on a plan to get a compact device that I can use on the train to work instead of nap. Hopefully that will eliminate some of my workload so that I can get homework, the SOD, and sleep efficiently worked into my daily regimen; keep my success in this matter lifted in prayer, thanks in advance. Also, to all of my brothers and sisters in Christ, know that even though the SOD hasn't been circulated in recent weeks, I have kept every request in prayer. Continue to pray for one another and speak your desired outcome into every situation.

Faith-filled words will put you over, and fear-filled words will defeat you. My Paster always prays before a sermon, "let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable and pleasing in your sight Lord." One of our daily confessions reads, "I let NO corrupt communication proceed out of my mouth, but that which is good to edifying that it may minister grace to the hearer." Everything that we think, do, and say, should always be pleasing to the Lord. What we do in life shouldn't be influenced by concerns for what random individuals in and throughout our lives may think; let your focus be on God's word, His commands, and what is acceptable in His sight. Proverbs 18:20-21 as translated in the NKJV reads, "A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; From the produce of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit." As translated in the Amplified Version, these same verses read, "A man's [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil]. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]." Proverbs 13:3 (NLT) says, "Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything." If you refer back to our opening passage, James 3:6 warns, "...the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body..." The very own words of your mouth can either make or break you; you can speak life or death into every circumstance; You can claim victory or defeat over your enemy, it's all in the power of YOUR WORDS. (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, OklahomaHarrison House, 1976.)

Prayer of the Day:
Lord we thank you for your grace and mercy. We thank you for the peace that passeth all understand. Father God we thank you for the knowledge that satan is a deceiver, and for the ability in our words alone to defeat the enemy. We thank you for your continued love, grace, and protection. We thank you for the ability to smile when we are hurting. We thank you for revealing what darkness has kept in the shade. We thank you for providing clarity in the midst of satan's confusion. We thank you for the victory over sin, defeat over the enemy, and deliverance from a heavy load of burdens. We thank you for the strength to keep on keeping on, and the power of our words to make the devil flee. We thank you for reversing all the negative and restoring complete positivity into every facet of our lives. We thank you for keeping us filled with the Spirit, that the words that depart our mouth, no longer posses corruption, rather, our words now speak life into every circumstance, and are always acceptable and pleasing in your sight. These things we claim and thank you for, in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Release Faith (11/8/11)

Greetings Everyone,
I was tired when I got home today, so I took a nap. By the time you receive this SOD, it will be tomorrow, or should I say today? Whomp! Whomp! I know. On another note, I successfully completed my first course in my Masters degree program, which was Communication Skills for Graduate Students, but today starts my first course of study for my major, Psychology. Boy oh boy, this instructor is no joke. Everything must be in essay form and APA format. I understand having that expectation for major assignments, but class participation posts to the forums must be at least 300 words for each discussion post, and I must quote and reference some type of article... *headache* well, I guess I go back to burring my head in the books - e-books rather, pray for me yall. Forgive me now if I am unable to attend any events that you invite me to. Anyway, continue to pray for one another and speak your desired outcome into every situation.

James 2:20 says, "...faith without works is dead." Faith that is not released into action is as gas that has not been ignited, it produces NO power. As translated in The Message,James 5-6 says, "It only takes a spark, remember, to set off a forest fire. A careless or wrongly placed word out of your mouth can do that. By our speech we can ruin the world, turn harmony to chaos, throw mud on a reputation, send the whole world up in smoke and go up in smoke with it, smoke right from the pit of hell." By our own nature, we are not powerful enough to tame the tongue, but we serve an awesome God, whose Spirit when released by Faith, can control the things that we utter from the mouth. Acts 1:8 says, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere..." "Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages (tongues), as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability" (Acts 2:3-4). We all posses power in our words, so whether we speak negativity or positivity into existence is a choice. By the very own words of Your mouth, You have the ability to speak prosperity into Your life, or speak Your own demise, or someone else's for that matter. You ever make a prediction out loud about someone else's life? For example, you have a friend or loved one who chooses to be with someone that you don't necessarily approve of or don't care for, and your response to their relationship, be-it directly or indirectly is, "that relationship isn't going to last," "I give that marriage a year, tops." Or what about the boy who seems to be going down the wrong pathway, instead of encouraging him, you scold him and speak things into existence in his presence or behind his back in the presence of others, saying things like, "he's going end up in jail," or "he's going to be no good, just like his father." Or what about the teenage mother, "her life is ruined, now all she can do is live off our tax dollars," "she's not going to make anything of herself." Have your predictions ever been right? Guess why... because God's word says in Matthew 15:11, "It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth." Proverbs 12:18 says, "Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing." This warns we can make statements of negativity that are damaging to our prosperity, our mental state, and our overall well being, and/or someone else's. The Word tells us to "speak those things that be not as though they were," and "whatsoever we ask in faith, shall be given to us," so if what we are doing is gossiping about someone else's life choices, predicting what negativity we believe will befall upon them, or speaking our own demise aloud, with confidence (faith/trust) that it will happen that way, then we can only blame ourselves for our own failures. STOP speaking negativity into existence, STOP contributing to negative input that is released by others in someone else's life, and STOP allowing satan to influence the words of your mouth that you release in faith; release the ability of Your words in faith to produce ONLY POSITIVE outcomes. (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, OklahomaHarrison House, 1976.)

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for the sacrifice of your only Son to save our sins and provide us with a super natural healing that science cannot understand. We thank you for taming our tongue that the words of our mouth may always be pleasing in your sight, and will always produce positive and favorable outcomes in every circumstance. Lord we thank you that you are NOT like man; you love us despite our downfalls, despite past doubts and frustrations in your power, you love us and forgive us unconditionally, so we thank you and praise your glorious name Father. Lord we thank you for complete healing that has restored our spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical state of being. We thank you for joyful attitudes in the midst of adversity, cheerful moods in the face of the enemy, peace in our storms, and comfort through our trials. We thank you for your continued protection over each of us individually, our families, our friends, our homes, our modes of transportation, and those homes and families in our surrounding areas. We thank you for the ability to smile even though our mountain appears to be too big, but we thank you that it is all a part of the devil's facade, and we praise you that our burdens, debts, and obstacles are no longer holding us hostage; we thank you for releasing those shackles of bondage and giving us the freedom to raise our hands humbly in praise to you for our victory over sin, satan, and his demons, in the matchless name of your Son Jesus Christ, this is our confession, Amen!

Faith resides in the Spirit (11/7/11)

Greetings Everyone,
I hope yall had a wonderful weekend. Praise God we've returned in fellowship this week, as we claimed we would. I'd like to add a friend of mine to the prayer list, Guillermo, I'll keep his concern unspoken, as God knows the trouble of his heart; remember we are praying the answer, NOT the problem. Continue to pray for one another and speak your desired outcome into every situation.

Last week we discussed how faith filled words spark others' faith that is dormant or inactive and cause it to be released. There is creative power released when you proclaim boldly things that are in agreement with the Word of God, and encourages others to release God's ability through their faith. "While they were at Lystra, Paul and Barnabas came upon a man with crippled feet. He had been that way from birth, so he had never walked. He was sitting and listening as Paul preached. Looking straight at him, Paul realized he had faith to be healed. So Paul called to him in a loud voice, “Stand up!” And the man jumped to his feet and started walking" (Acts 14:8-10). The Spirit of God afforded Paul the discernment to recognize that the crippled man had sufficient faith to accept healing; faith doesn't operate through the physical, it is of the spirit. Paul used the creative power in his spirit words to speak to the crippled man's heart and release God's ability; spirit words received in the crippled man's heart, released spiritual healing in his physical body. The creative ability of Your Words is formed in Your Spirit, and when Spoken in FAITH out of Your Mouth, will produce physical results. (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, OklahomaHarrison House, 1976.)

Prayer of the Day:
Lord we thank you for another day living, and another day filled with your presence. We thank you for blessings both big and small, and especially for those blessings we are able to share with others. Lord you know the concerns of Guillermo's heart; we thank you now for providing him with comfort, strength, and relief where he needs it most. Lord we thank you for revealing our ability within our spirit to accept healing, and to speak life into every circumstance. Lord we thank you for restoring us spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Lord we thank you for your omnipresence that fills our spirit with joy that allows us to smile through the tears, provides the strength to keep on keeping on through the obstacles, and for the desire to continue to praise you through the trials. Father God we thank you for strong marriages, strengthened relationships, peaceful homes, healthy babies, gainful employment, tranquility in every environment, deliverance from those things and people from our past and present who have held us captive through strong thoughts of regret and resentment, and we thank you for removing all of our debts and ensuring that our every desire is met according to your riches in glory. We thank you for your continued protection, and the 24 hour encampment of your angels around us. Father God this is our affirmation of faith in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Boldly Proclaim (11/4/11)

Greetings Everyone,
It's Friday, I just woke up from my nap, can yall believe it? LOL. Anyway, have a blessed a wonderful weekend, and thank God for our reunion next week. Continue to pray for one another and speak your desired outcome into every situation. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!

Mark 11:23-24 says, "I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours." Sometimes we may believe in the words we say, but the enemy places stuff in our mind to have us second guess our faith, so instead of speaking loud and proud, we are soft spoken and doubt in our spirit; speak more BOLDLY and PROCLAIM your VICTORY with CONFIDENCE. Your faith-filled words sparks others' faith that is dormant or inactive and cause it to be released. There is creative power released when you proclaim boldly things that are in agreement with the Word of God, and encourages others to release God's ability through their faith(Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, OklahomaHarrison House, 1976.)
