Our Father's Plan (10/10/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God! Be encouraged to share any praise reports from you, or anyone you may know of, because that testimony may be just what someone else needs to help them get through their tribulation. Again, my non-profit organization is official and currently seeking volunteers and miscellaneous and/or monetary contributions (visit the website at http://fmbs-inc-bytye.org). I also encourage you to join me on my quest for better nutrition, fitness, and overall health with Herbalife products and FitClub (free workouts offered locally by our health coaches); although I am a distributor of this product, I am also a consumer and I am promoting results rather than soliciting your funds. Come join us in a FitClub session, meet your local health coaches, and see the results for yourself. If you want to look and be better, you need to change something in your routine; change begins within, start your transformation today by adopting better nutrition habits (if you're interested in any products email me at Tye.HL24@gmail.com). Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity, God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

For those of you just joining us or those of you returning, technically we've finally finished the "power of the tongue" series. However, we have moved forward with addressing each of the daily affirmations of faith listed at the back of the book, The Tongue - A Creative Force written by Charles Capps. I recommend that as you follow along with these daily confessions, you choose those that are most suitable for your circumstance and repeat them three times daily like a dose of medicine; when man says "no" our Father in Heaven has the authority to still say, "yes." As a refresher, the daily confessions are listed in the book under specific categories in which I will list in bold, followed by the affirmation of faith italicized, and concluded with the scripture from which it was derived. You may shoot me an email request or check my blog (listed in my signature) for past lessons and/or a complete list of the daily affirmations of faith, thanks.

To defeat worry and fear:
"I am delivered from the evils of this present world for it is the will of God..." derived from Galatians 1:4 (Capps, 1976).      Reference: Capps, C. (1976). The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, OklahomaHarrison House

Galatians 1:4 says, "Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live." To save our lives from the sinful nature of this world, God gave His only begotten Son that we may have life everlasting (refer to John 3:16). Notice how the verse says, "just as God our Father planned"; Jesus did what God instructed Him to do, so that we may have an opportunity to live in the house of the Lord forever. The Word of God is transcribed in the Bible, as our book of instruction. Think of the Bible as a "How to make it to Heaven for Dummies" manual; He provided all the guidance we need in this great book, all we have to do is STUDY to show ourselves approved (refer to II Timothy 2:15). Become a faith-full and faithful servant of our Father in Heaven. Keep your trust in the Lord forever, and abide by His word and will for your life. Then, be still and witness God stay true to His promises; remain in Him and He will remain in youRepetition is the key to memorizing, and practice is pivotal to getting it right.

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for another year of healthy living, for forgiveness of our sins, and for providing a solid foundation to base our lives upon. We thank you for your knowledge and wisdom, for your peace that passeth all understanding, and for revealing all things necessary for our personal and spiritual growth. We thank you for complete knowledge and clarity of every circumstance we come up against, for contentment despite our trials, and for the ability to use your Word as the stabilizing force in our lives. Father God we thank you for allowing your Spirit to tame our tongue, that the words that depart our mouth are nothing more or less than pleasing in your sight. Father God we thank you for helping us to remain in your word, and abide by it. We thank you for helping us to speak those things that be not as though they were, and to have the faith in you that the victory is already won. Lord we thank you for being our refuge when we have no where else to turn. Lord we claim now success and prosperity, we claim victory over all obstacles, and we claim freedom from any bondage that has held us captive. We bind now every evil, malicious attempt against us and confess that no weapon formed against us shall ever prosper. We bind now and claim the enemy's efforts ineffective against us in the matchless name of Jesus. We submit this affirmation of faith in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

No Weapon (10/9/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God! Yesterday, I forgot to tell yall that in addition to everything else I have going on, I'm learning to ride a motorcycle against mother's wishes; please keep my motorcycle handling and skills development, as well as road safety in prayer always. Now, I told yall about everything that was going wrong while I was away, but here is my praise report: God helped facilitate my getting into a more reliable car; my non-profit organization is official and currently seeking volunteers and miscellaneous and/or monetary contributions (visit the website at http://fmbs-inc-bytye.org); my mother was able to get my utilities lowered; and my health and nutrition with Herbalife/FitClub is helping me to transform my body (if you're interested in any products email me at Tye.HL24@gmail.com). If you have any praise reports to share please forward them to me, because your testimony may be just what someone needs to help them get through their tribulation. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity, God Bless!

To defeat worry and fear:
"No weapon formed against me shall prosper, for my righteousness is of the Lord. But whatever I do will prosper for I'm like a tree that's planted by the rivers of water" derived from Isaiah 54:17 and Psalm 1:3 (Capps, 1976).          Reference: Capps, C. (1976). The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, Oklahoma: Harrison House

Isaiah 54:17 says, "But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!" "Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do" (Psalm 1:1-3). As we discussed in yesterday's lesson, God's word promises protection, security, and contentment according to HIS will, NOT yours. You cannot lead a life following those who choose the way of this world, yet expect God to fulfill your every desire. But IF we remain in Him, then the desires of our heart will automatically fall in line with His will for our lives. Once we fully accept God as savior and succumb to His will for our lives, then we will be transformed by the Word and the renewing of our minds; we will be reborn and thus, we will have turned away from who we were and walk into who we are supposed to be, according to God's perfect plan. Become a faith-full and faithful servant of our Father in Heaven, keep your trust in the Lord forever, and abide by His word and will for your life, then kick-back and hold God to His promises; remain in Him and He will remain in you.

Prayer of the Day:
Lord God we praise your Holy name, thanking you for the blessings in the storm, and the joy that comes in the morning. Father God please reveal to each of us individually, the personal message that you have intended for us to receive from this lesson, and continue to open the eyes, heart, mind, and spirit of those who may still be holding back from allowing you to reveal to them who they really are, and what specific mission you have called them to. We thank you for changed hearts, for restored spirits, for deliverance, joy, and overwhelming peace and understanding. We thank you Father for clarity of our current circumstances, for contentment despite our trials, and for the ability to use your Word as the stabilizing force in our lives. Father God we thank you for allowing your Spirit to tame our tongue, that the words that depart our mouth are nothing more or less than pleasing in your sight. Hallelujah Father, we give you the highest praise, for every trial that has brought us to the point of deeper spirituality, and for every blessing that allows us to be a blessing to someone else, while we give you all the honor and praise in the process. Lord we claim now success and prosperity, we claim victory over all obstacles, and we claim freedom from any bondage that has held us captive. We bind now every evil, malicious, attempt against us and confess that no weapon formed against us shall ever prosper. We bind now and claim the enemy's efforts ineffective against us in the matchless name of Jesus. We submit this affirmation of faith in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Far from Oppression (10/8/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God! Thank you for all of your inquiries of concern during my leave of absence. I've had this SOD written since August but decided to take some extended time dedicated to being stress-free. In our time apart, I have dealt with extreme drama at work, and in my personal life; my bills tripled, car was giving me trouble, my learning team caused my overall grade in my last course to diminish, in addition to school work I have been working to get my non-profit organization fully up and running (you may now make monetary contributions via PayPal on my website at http://fmbs-inc-bytye.org), not to mention I depleted my bank account trying to maintain my vehicle and misc house bills. Furthermore, I started Herbalife/FitClub, challenging myself to get into the BEST shape of my life by changing my nutrition in conjunction with a regular workout routine (80% nutrition/20% fitness); I am a consumer as well as an independent distributor for Herbalife, if you're interested in any products email me at tye.HL24@gmail.com. Since I started the program I have experienced more energy during the day, so I plan to stick with the program, and I'll keep yall posted on my progress. Know that even in the midst of any break I may take from the production of the SOD, yall remain in my prayers, and especially those who submit specific prayer requests. My attention to the SOD may be on hold at a given moment, but my praying on your behalf is continuous. Remember to refrain from praying (confessing) the problem, but always speak (pray/confess) the answer (desired result) into existence, God Bless!

To defeat worry and fear:
"I am far from oppression, and fear does not come nigh me" derived from Isaiah 54:14 (Capps, 1976). (Capps, C. (1976). The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, Oklahoma: Harrison House)

Isaiah 54:14-17 says, "You will be secure under a government that is just and fair. Your enemies will stay far away. You will live in peace, and terror will not come near. If any nation comes to fight you, it is not because I sent them. Whoever attacks you will go down in defeat. I have created the blacksmith who fans the coals beneath the forge and makes the weapons of destruction. And I have created the armies that destroy. But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!" Seriously, do I need to elaborate more? Look, understand this, God does NOT guarantee a life free from pain and sorrow, nor an easy life free of trial and tribulation. His word promises eternal life IF we follow HIS will. God's word promises protection, security, and contentment according to HIS will. Sometimes we miss out on our blessing or opportunity because it is not wrapped up or presented in a desirable manner (a manner to which we imagined it would be). Meaning, that husband or wife we were waiting for didn't look like the Halle Berry or Laz Alonzo that we envisioned. No, instead we got who GOD had in store for us and that package came in the form of Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert, but we decided to turn the other corner. We have become too complacent with who we are, and what we want, as opposed to what God has in store for us. This passage assures us that God will deliver us, restore us, provide peace, and keep us protected for as long as we remain His faith-full and faithful servants; keep your trust in the Lord forever, and abide by His word and will for your life. No one is perfect, especially me, but our goal in fellowship is to help one another get one step closer to being the epitome of what it means to say "I am a Christian"; Christianity is a lifestyle that requires us to be Christ-like even when we think no one is looking, and with those daily actions God promises His mercy everlasting.

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, strength, and all that you've blessed us with. We thank you for your continued love, protection, and peace. Lord we thank you for comfort and strength when we need it most. We thank you for providing within us the capability in our words to claim victory over the adversary and the authority to make satan flee from us, claiming defeat every time over the enemy. Father God we claim success now, we claim victory over all obstacles and freedom from any bondage that has held us captive. We bind now every evil, malicious, attempt against us and confess that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. We bind now and claim the enemy's efforts ineffective against us in the matchless name of Jesus. We submit of affirmation of faith in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
