***URGENT PRAYER REQUEST***

A friend of mine just informed me that his cousin, Darius Person, is in a coma on life support as as result of walking pnuemonia. Please take a moment to say a prayer for him. Thanks in advance.

Reap Benefits (6/26/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory to God! I'm praying for consistency this week with the SOD, and for sufficient sleep. Surprisingly, I was in a profound mood yesterday as well as today, and can honestly say that I actually had a splendiferous day the past few days, for once. I can only attribute this attitude to God... it's such a blessing to experience elevated spirits without known reasons. Anyway, I want to remind yall to spread the word to ALL interested parties, to contact me ASAP with regard to the preparation and shipping of care packages to our deployed troops. Remember to REFRAIN from praying (confessing) the problem (unfavorable outcome), but ALWAYS speak (pray/confess) the answer (desired result) into existence. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity, God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

In yesterday's lesson we were warned to take caution with the words we speak, being cautious about what we authorize things to do, because it is our faith that is behind our words of authority (Capps, 1976). The seeds that we sow with our mouth will produce harvest of its kind. Thus, if we are speaking negativity into existence, so shall we reap negative and unfavorable results. Proverbs 12:14 says, "Wise words bring many benefits, and hard work brings rewards." "...moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass" (Proverbs 16:30 ~ KJV)(Capps, C. (1976). The Tongue - A Creative Force. Harrison House (pp.143). Tulsa, OK: Harrison House.)

***Disclaimer: The content of the Scripture of the Day from this series, is not always verbatim from the book, The Tongue - A Creative Force, written by Charles Capps. Some content is paraphrased, some is verbatim, and other content strictly reflects my personal expression of each lesson***

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for our goings and comings, the good and bad moments of life. We thank you for our failures and triumphs Father, because we know that all these things have enhanced our growth and influenced our relationship with you for the better. We thank you for the strength to keep moving forward, the ability to make the enemy flee, and the authority in our words to claim healing, peace, deliverance, restoration, and salvation. We thank you that in the name of Jesus, we can claim these things and receive them through faith. We thank you for the victory over our previous and present battles, as well as those to come. We thank you for success in your eyes Father, success in living a life that falls in line with your word and will for us individually and specifically. We thank you for your continued protection, necessary revelations and endings, exciting beginnings, forgiveness, grace and mercy. We thank you for the ability and strength to forgive those who have wronged us, but to also forgive ourselves. Although illogical to the mind of flesh, we thank you for the ability to be like you and forget the matters of our lives and memories that cannot be changed or altered; we thank you for helping us to move forward. This is our affirmation of faith in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Powerful Words (6/25/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory to God! I know yall missed me, because I missed me. Not to sound vain, it's just that I probably need this online ministry more than anyone. It keeps me slightly on track. Anyway, thanks for your genuine concern and prayers, I have been doing well. See "what had happened was..." I have been getting less and less sleep, and the demands of my classes have increased. So, you know how you are so tired that your start reading the same sentence over and over again in-between dozing off? Well, that was me, so I chose sleep. Every now and then, all my faithful followers should know this by now, my lack of sleep catches up to me, so I take a needed break. One day it will all balance out for the better. However, know that I have continued to pray for each of you, and specifically for those who have asked me to, or whom God may have placed on my heart. Anyway, time is nearing, so if yall are still interested in working with Fostering Mind, Body, and Soul Incorporated (FMBS Inc.) to supply our deployed troops with care packages, it's crunch time so get with me ASAP, thanks in advance. Continue to keep one another in prayer, especially for broken relationships (namely marriages), and those suffering from emotional instability, while thanking God in advance for the victory.

Oh buddy, I tell you, when they say "easier said than done," that is the truth. Because as much as I believe in the principles of this series "the power of the tongue," I have spoken some things into existence out of habit of confessing pessimism influenced by societal norms. However, "YOUR FAITH IS YOUR VOICE OF AUTHORITY. Be careful what you authorize things to do" (Capps, 1976). God's word teaches that we can have what we say if we "speak those things that be not as though they were," with the faith that they have already been done. Instead of us speaking our desired results however, we have a tendency to resort to customary habits of claiming defeat - we plant seeds of failure and disappointment, so come harvest time, we reap what we've sown - lack, defeat, inability, financial hardship, emotional instability, and heartache are amongst those things that were have harvested in abundance, as the principles of Genesis advocate to confess with your mouth, believe in your heart, and receive your blessings. God always spoke first His desired result... He said "let there be light," and so it came to be, because He believed in His own words. We were made in His image and also given the same authority in our very own words, to claim our desired results into existence. Matthew 12:37 says, "The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you," and as translated in The Message this verse reads, "Words are powerful; take them seriously. Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation." (Capps, C. (1976). The Tongue - A Creative Force. Harrison House (pp.143). Tulsa, OK: Harrison House.)

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we praise your holy name, and thank you for your continued favor and mercy. Father we thank you for building up broken relationships and especially strengthening those troubled marriages. Father God we thank you for lifting up the spirit of those dealing with heartache, depression, and especially PTSD, and providing complete comfort and deliverance from any emotional setbacks. Lord we thank you for prosperity with Tylesha's non-profit organization, FMBS Inc., and the success of her first mission to provide care packages to the deployed troops. Lord We thank you for keeping us filled with the Spirit, that our tongue may be tamed, only to formulate words that are good to edifying that they may minister grace to the hearer. Father God we thank you for our healing, restoration, deliverance, and mended hearts. We thank you for the strength to keep moving forward with a new attitude and gratitude, we thank you for the great and bad moments that help mold us into better examples of what it means to be a child of Christ. We thank you for your breath of life, and for providing yourself as a refuge when we have no where else to turn. We thank you for not turning your back on us, even when we lose hope in you. We thank you for a renewed mind, and for relieving us of our debts by providing our every need as well as the desires of our heart, that fall in line with your word and will. Ultimately Father, thy will be done. We thank you now for the victory already won. This is our affirmation of faith, in the matchless name of Jesus, Amen!

Words of the Wise II (6/6/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and praise be to God! Again, I'd like to solicit your donations in the form of toiletries, stationary, monetary contributions, and other resourceful items for my non-profit organization, FMBS Inc., for the purpose of putting together care packages for our deployed troops. I'm also seeking interested individuals who would like to join my staff of volunteers; please be advised that your agreement to volunteering with my organization, does not obligate you to specific hours nor events. Please contact me ASAP to discuss any donations and/or volunteer service, and please spread the word, thanks in advance. Just a FYI to the newbies, unless otherwise specified in parenthesis, I typically use passages from the New Living Translation (NLT) version of the Bible. On another note, one of my BFF's recently found out that she is pregnant, and today she found out that she's having twins; please keep Jill's pregnancy and 1st time parenthood in prayer, thanks. Anyway, continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome.

Proverbs 12:14-18 (NIV) says, "From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things as surely as the work of his hands rewards him. The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice. A fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult. A truthful witness gives honest testimony, but a false witness tells lies. Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing." By the very words we speak out of our mouth, we will either be satisfied or disappointed in life. People, including ourselves, can make statements of negativity that are damaging to our prosperity, our mental state, and our overall well being. Some of us desire God to fill a void, yet we continue to speak and pray the problem, not the answer - believers, use their tongue to destroy their faith. Faith cannot work when doubt is in the midst of it. You hold yourself captive, by speaking negative circumstances into existence; God's word says that you can have what you say if you believe without a doubt. It is through Your very own words that You establish failure or success in your own life. Establish what God has already prepared for You, by speaking His promises into existence in Your own life. Surrender all to God, and STOP allowing the enemy to convince you to settle for negativity"So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). The word says, "I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours (Mark 11:24)(Capps, C. (1976). The Tongue - A Creative Force. Harrison House (pp.141-142). Tulsa, OK: Harrison House.)

Prayer of the Day:
Lord God we thank you for your protection, love, grace, and forgiveness. We thank you for the peace that passeth all understanding, for bringing all those things that were once in the dark into the light, and for bringing clarity to some much needed decisions that we've been waiting for your approval to make. We thank you for giving us back the strength and faith in our ability to use our words to produce favorable outcomes. We thank you for providing Jill with a healthy prenatal and postpartum pregnancy, with a smooth delivery and healthy babies, and increase and strengthen her blessings and unity within her home and support system. We thank you for FMBS Inc.'s successful campaign to raise contributions to send care packages to our troops. We thank you for keeping us filled with the Spirit, that our tongue may be tamed, only to formulate words that are good to edifying that they may minister grace to the hearer. Father God we thank you for our healing, restoration, deliverance, and mended hearts. Individual Works (6/5/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and praise be to God! Again, I'd like to solicit your donations in the form of toiletries, stationary, monetary contributions, and other resourceful items for my non-profit organization, FMBS Inc., for he purpose of putting together care packages for our deployed troops. In addition, we are still seeking interested individuals who would like to join our staff of volunteers, please bare in mind that your agreement to volunteering with my organization, does not obligate you to specific hours nor events. Please contact me ASAP to discuss any donations and/or volunteer service, thanks in advance. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome.

So, here's the deal yall, I still haven't quite figured out which part of the book we left off on in our "power of the tongue" series, derived from The Tongue - A Creative Force by Charles Capps. So, although I will be dabbling in the book, charge it to my brain and not my heart, if I retouch on topics we've already explored in our reading/series. Matter of fact, let me reiterate that repetition is the key to memorizing, and practice is pivotal to getting it right, therefore we should embrace whatever redundancy that transpires in our SODs... In the book of Proverbs, the twelfth chapter, we are reminded of the authority in our words; we have the ability in our very own words to speak life or death into existence. Now let's look at Joshua 1:8 which says, "Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do." Again, we are shown that as individuals, prosperity and success begins with YOU, not him, her, or the next man, in fact, not even as the ChurchWe will be judged in the end by our INDIVIDUAL works, not as a team effort. So, STOP pointing the finger at others and START to APPLY God's word to Your daily life. Once You fully grasp and accept the concepts of the Word, then your actions, reactions, and most importantly, your words, will mimic that of the Lord. Therefore, everything that you think, do, and say, will be acceptable and honorable before the Father in Heaven, and naturally success and prosperity will follow, because you are no longer focused on self, rather you will be focused on God's will for you.

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and strength. We thank you for giving us back the strength and faith in our ability to use our words to produce favorable outcomes. We thank you for FMBS Inc.'s successful campaign to raise contributions to send care packages to our troops. We thank you for redemption, and for the ability to reverse the negativity we once spoke into existence. Today we deny the right of the enemy to exist in our lives. We thank you for restoring the years that we've spent in tears Father God. We thank you for removing the heavy load that we once tried to carry alone. We thank you for deliverance from pain, suffering, debts, struggles, and worries. Father God we thank you for the ability to stand firm through the test of our trials. We thank you for the discernment to know when the enemy is afoot, and for the strength to take control through our faith-filled words. We thank you that no weapon formed against us will prosper. We thank you for your continued blessings of protection, and we thank you for the peace that passeth all understanding. This is our affirmation of faith Father God, we submit to you in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Voice of Authority II (6/4/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory to God! I hope yall had a wonderful holiday weekend. As yall can see, I took an extended vaca out of pure laziness, I'll just keep it real wit'cha. Anyway, let's get back on point, rather let me get back on point. Before we get into the lesson, if yall recall I finally established my non-profit organization, FMBS Inc.. For those of yall new to the Scripture of the Day (SOD), my organization is geared toward giving back to the underprivileged communities around Southern California, in the form of providing meals, clothing, ministry, mentorship, and other useful resources to the homeless, less fortunate, and at-risk youth. I am however, still looking for volunteers to help build up this empire. Being that I am a United States Navy Veteran, the first order of business for FMBS Inc. is to provide care packages to our troops on deployment, in lieu of Independence Day. If you or someone you know is interested, I will be collecting donations in the form of toiletries, and other basic essentials, as well as stationary. If you prefer to give a monetary donation, I will be accepting those as well. All donations will be accounted for so that all contributors will know how their donations were utilized. In addition, if you would like to join my volunteer staff, please correspond with my team at sustenance@fmbs-inc-bytye.org. If you want to donate to our saluting the troops, please let me know at your earliest convenience, so that we may arrange a pick up or drop off location. Thanks in advance. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome.

Ok yall, so just by chance I recovered our reading for the "power of the tongue" series. For the new members in our fellowship, I am referring to The Tongue - A Creative Force by Charles Capps. Ok, so let's recap from the last lesson we covered in this series. In the book of Luke, Chapter 17, Jesus tells us how the object that we speak to, should be obedient to our words. We were reminded that if we maintain faith in the abilities and capabilities that God has already given us within, then Faith is the Voice of Authority, and whatever our object may be, WE possess the AUTHORITY in OUR FAITH-FILLED WORDS to restore, rebuild, reverse, enhance, increase, and/or remove that object in the matchless name of Jesus. Earlier in our series we referenced the example of people claiming sickness into existence. My daddy loves to tease my mother and I with this, "don't claim your sickness." What's funny is, I do consciously adhere to that concept; if my throat hurts, I feel a sneeze coming on, and/or my symptoms are written all over my face, when someone asks "are you getting sick?" I simply reply "no, I don't get sick." They may have a come-back like, "well you don't look like you're feeling well," and I say, "I'm just under the weather, I'll be better in a few days." I'm sure my approach could be improved, but in the past I'd say, "I think I'm getting sick," and the moment I confessed that into existence, the more symptoms I acquired. Then, the more symptoms that developed, the more I basked in the idea of being "sick," and the more miserable I felt. Why you ask? Because, I spoke that illness into existence. The Word however, teaches us that Christ died on the cross to not only save our sins, but to HEAL us by His blood; by the stripes of Jesus Christ we were healed before any ailments could manifest. Yet since we "speak those things that be not as though they were," we reap unfavorable outcomes, because we have spoken the problem and not the solution (desired results)Proverbs 6:2 (KJV) warns, "Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth." Whether you realize it or not, the words YOU speak are working for or against you. Reevaluate your circumstance, assessing how much opposition to the Word of God has influenced your words, and then evaluate the increase in undesired results that followed the negativity that YOU chose to speak into existence, despite its contradiction to God's word(Capps, C. (1976). The Tongue - A Creative Force. Harrison House (pp.141-142). Tulsa, OK: Harrison House.)

Prayer of the Day:
Lord we thank you for your grace and mercy. We thank you for the peace that passeth all understanding. We thank you for the growth, prosperity, success, and resourcefulness of FMBS Inc. in the community. Father God we thank you for the knowledge that satan is a deceiver, and for the ability in our words alone to defeat the enemy. Lord God, we praise your holy name for your continued favor, love, grace, and protection. We thank you for the ability to smile when we are hurting. We thank you for revealing what darkness has kept in the shade. We thank you for providing clarity in the midst of satan's confusion. We thank you for the victory over sin, illness, and disease, defeat over the enemy, and deliverance from a heavy load of burdens. We thank you for the strength to keep on keeping on, and the power of our words to make the devil flee. We thank you for reversing all the negative and undesired outcomes as a result of our very own words, and for restoring complete positivity into every facet of our lives. We thank you for keeping us filled with the Spirit, that the words that depart our mouth, no longer posses corruption, rather, our words now speak life into every circumstance, and may our words always be acceptable and pleasing in your sight. This is our affirmation of faith, we present this claim in the name of Jesus, Amen!
