Living in the Overflow (2/28/2014)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God for providing us with another day of endless opportunities. Please remember that production gaps for the SOD will continue until I am able to invest in a more reliable computer system, I thank you in advance for your understanding. Now let's move forward with today's healthy living tip... "Breakfast is the BEST way to start your day. Make a plan with a friend to eat breakfast every day! Ideas include: 1) whole wheat toast + peanut butter + banana; 2) cereal + 1% milk + your favorite fruit; 3) a breakfast sandwich... eating breakfast can help you achieve a healthy weight. Some people skip meals to lose weight, but it’s not a smart choice and can actually cause you to gain more weight. Start your day the right way-have some breakfast today!" (Balance Mind, Body & Soul. (2011). NO matter how big or small your contribution or donation is, YOU are helping someone in need. We encourage YOU to participate in our ongoing campaign whenever and however you can. If you were on the receiving end and needed a helping hand, wouldn't you want someone to reach out to you? Accept this opportunity to HELP LIVES. If interested in supporting our organization and helping others, simply make a donation and/or a contribution; make all checks payable to FMBS Inc., provide one of our representatives with your cash donation/contribution, or use the PayPal link located on our website. We are successful because of YOUR continued support. TRANSFORM your body, mind, and soul TODAY because tomorrow is NOT promised; by feeding your body healthy nutrition, and being cautious of what things you allow your eyes, ears, and spirits to be exposed to (e.g. media, books, TV, music, etc.), YOU can start anew and become a better you. CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN... Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, "be the change that you want to see in the world." Have a blessed rest of the week.

Lord please clear our minds, and open our eyes and ears so that we may see, hear, and receive your intended message from this fellowship. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Passage - Psalm 23:5:
"You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings."

***Unless otherwise indicated, all scripture quotations are taken from the New Living Translation (NLT) of the Bible***

"
When you come to drink from the cup of Christ, how do you come? Do you come prepared to be filled? Do you come to get a sip, a drink, to quench your thirst? Or do you come to be filled to overflowing? Christ is ready not only to fill you, but to fill you abundantly to overflowing. The idea here is not that you alone reap the benefit, but that as a result of your abiding in Christ, and what He is doing in your life, that what He puts in you will spill over into the lives of othersWhen you come to the cup of Christ, what is it you seek? Your own? Or do you also seek to be filled so that He will supply not only your need, but what you need to minister to others? To live in the overflow is to abide in Christ moment by moment, seeking Him, and seeking to be as such that He can bless others through you."

Sometimes we can be a selfish people. We feel like we've worked hard to get where we are today, we've struggled hardships, and instead of helping others find an easier route, we'd rather them suffer the same shortcomings we have endured in our lifetime. After all, that's fair, right? NO! Life isn't fair! When you experienced hardships, didn't you desire someone to lend a helping hand? Whether or not they did or didn't help t ease your load is beside the point. God equips us with the tools/skill we need to endure every obstacle that is thrown our wayOnce we have be enlightened, we are expected to be as educators - spreading the knowledge and wisdom that we have acquired through our studies and experiences; it is our Christian duty to help others find Christ, assist others that they may be blessed through the blessings He bestows upon us, and to extend ourselves and our services to others without expectation of rewardIf you're wondering why God has been slow to make your cup runneth over, HUMBLE YOURSELF before Him and perhaps then you'll begin to REAP what you have SOWN.

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and strength. We thank you for the strength we need to forgive those who have wronged us, the same way you continuously grant us forgiveness, and for placing upon those we have wronged the same desire, that we too may be forgiven by them. More so Father, we thank you for removing the guilt we once placed on self, and for removing every thought that has held us captive in our own minds. We thank you for transforming our image into one that mirrors Jesus, so that His goodness is reflected in all that we do. Thanks for blessing us with a double portion of your Spirit, and for closing every unnecessary door that is open in our lives. Thanks for opening supernatural doors in our lives that lead to peace, prosperity, clarity, contentment, and happiness. We thank you for providing each of us with the clear and concise revelations we need in order to overcome the adversary. Thanks for helping us to see, hear, and feel your presence through every trial and tribulation, and for the courage to rearrange our priorities, placing you at the top of our list. We thank you for discernment to know the difference between good and bad, right from wrong, and your will vs. our own desires. Thanks for provision, guidance, and protection from Satan’s attacks. By the authority in our words, we reverse all the negativity spoken into existence within our individual lives and the lives of our loved ones and associates. We take back everything the enemy has stolen from us, and bind every evil and malicious plot, plan, and scheme devised against us, in the matchless name of Jesus. Lord we also grant your angels permission to do our bidding on Earth without recourse. This is our affirmation of faith Father God; we submit our petition to you and thank you in advance for working it all out. All these things we claim in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Respectfully,
Tylesha "Tye" Allen

World Gone Mad (2/26/2014)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God for providing us with another day of endless opportunities. Please remember that production gaps for the SOD will continue until I am able to invest in a more reliable computer system, I thank you in advance for your understanding. Now let's move forward with today's healthy living tip... "Yoga offers you the opportunity to deepen your self-understanding by engaging body, mind & spirit. Anyone can practice yoga, regardless of age, physical condition, lifestyle, belief system, or economic situation. It requires nothing more than your body and your willingness... Any loose-fitting sleepwear will be perfect for your new morning routine (para 1). With a small commitment of time each morning, in the comfort and privacy of your own bed, you can harvest the many benefits of yoga: a healthier and more beautiful body, increased vitality, emotional balance, an uplifted spirit, and a clear, focused mind. You may even find that aches, pains, and degenerative problems diminish considerably or even disappear. Yoga in bed is a practical beginner’s way that safely and gently introduces you to this time-honored practice without requiring special clothing, sticky mats, or driving somewhere (para 2)... Yoga is said to be ninety percent breath and ten percent postures (para 3)... The early practitioners of yoga developed conscious breathing as a fundamental means for improving the functioning of their bodies and for increasing longevity. They discovered that breath is linked to the mind; any change in one affects the other. By slowing down the breath, they found that they were able to effectively quiet the mind for meditation (para 5). Medical research confirms that focusing attention on quieting your breath slows down your respiratory rate and heartbeat. All systems in your body then respond in harmony, including your thought processes—a relaxation response that reduces stress on all organs, and can increase your longevity (para 6)..." (Call, N. S. "
Look around these days, and you may wonder what the world is coming to. The simple answer might be, that it is coming to an end. When, however, is completely up to our Lord—not presidents, politicians, priests, or any other people. And though the world around us may seem to be falling apart, let not your hearts be troubled, God is in control. We know our Lord could come tomorrow, or perhaps not even in our lifetime. Yet we know with certainty He will come, and we know without question, the world will come to an end. At times, it is easy to see why we would become preoccupied with the end of the world. But worry and over-speculation are not fitting for the mind of a believer. We acknowledge what is, but trust that He is greater. We continue on in Christ, and we continue to love God and to love others. The whole world may be crumbling around us, yet we need not fear, but simply find peace in the eyes of Christ. For our home is in Him. And He will never be shaken."

.

Recently, I have observed a couple of Rabbi's teaching about Jesus as Messiah, and all I can do is think about how close, yet how possibly far we are from the 2nd Coming of Christ. Yes, to piggyback on what Chambers said above, we know for certain that the end will come like a thief in the night; we know for sure the end is near, but we know NOT when - it may even skip this lifetime and the next. We were not assigned to worry about the end, we are called to duty to: teach and share with others the Gospel; to secure our salvation; and to help others find God that they too may be saved. In the Book of Matthew chapter 24Matthew chapter 10Revelation chapter 1213, and 18, the Bible warns how the antichrist's deception will be so pervasive that the whole world will be taken by it - so-called Christians will be led astray. Do you really know the Lord? Does the Lord know you? Really think about it... when you're in the house of the Lord, is the image you reflect the same as that in which you portray during the week? Let me pose that question in Layman's terms... are you Saint Paul/Mother Teresa on Saturday or Sunday during church service, and Uncle Luke/Melyssa Ford come sundown? For those who do not know who Uncle Luke or Melyssa Ford are, let's just say they are very worldly individuals. It is impossible to walk on both sides of a fence! Rightly so, we CANNOT serve two masters (refer to Matthew 6:24). So, the CHOICE you must make each day is  this... will you seek a straight and narrow path (refer to Matthew 7:14) or will you succumb to the ways of this world? If we do not immerse ourselves in the Word now, then come the time when we are faced with false prophesy, we can expect to be deceived. However, if we study the Word ourselves (refer to II Timothy 2:15) - dwelling in the Lord and abiding by His will, then we will be one with Him (refer to John 15:4-5); NO ONE and NOTHING can stray us away. #BePrepared

Prayer of the Day:
