Far from Oppression (10/8/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God! Thank you for all of your inquiries of concern during my leave of absence. I've had this SOD written since August but decided to take some extended time dedicated to being stress-free. In our time apart, I have dealt with extreme drama at work, and in my personal life; my bills tripled, car was giving me trouble, my learning team caused my overall grade in my last course to diminish, in addition to school work I have been working to get my non-profit organization fully up and running (you may now make monetary contributions via PayPal on my website at http://fmbs-inc-bytye.org), not to mention I depleted my bank account trying to maintain my vehicle and misc house bills. Furthermore, I started Herbalife/FitClub, challenging myself to get into the BEST shape of my life by changing my nutrition in conjunction with a regular workout routine (80% nutrition/20% fitness); I am a consumer as well as an independent distributor for Herbalife, if you're interested in any products email me at tye.HL24@gmail.com. Since I started the program I have experienced more energy during the day, so I plan to stick with the program, and I'll keep yall posted on my progress. Know that even in the midst of any break I may take from the production of the SOD, yall remain in my prayers, and especially those who submit specific prayer requests. My attention to the SOD may be on hold at a given moment, but my praying on your behalf is continuous. Remember to refrain from praying (confessing) the problem, but always speak (pray/confess) the answer (desired result) into existence, God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

For those of you just joining us, or those of your returning, technically, we've finally finished the "power of the tongue" series. However, we have moved forward with addressing each of the daily affirmations of faith listed at the back of the book, The Tongue - A Creative Force, written by Charles Capps. I recommend that as you follow along with these daily confessions, you choose those that are most suitable for your circumstance, and repeat them three times daily, like a dose of medicine, because when man says "no," our Father in Heaven has the authority to still say "yes." As a refresher, the daily confessions are listed in the book under specific categories, in which I will list in bold, followed by the affirmation of faith italicized, and the scripture by which it was derived in parenthesis. You may shoot me an email request or check my blog (listed in my signature) for past lessons or a complete list of the daily affirmations of faith, thanks.

To defeat worry and fear:
"I am far from oppression, and fear does not come nigh me" derived from Isaiah 54:14 (Capps, 1976). (Capps, C. (1976). The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, Oklahoma: Harrison House)

Isaiah 54:14-17 says, "You will be secure under a government that is just and fair. Your enemies will stay far away. You will live in peace, and terror will not come near. If any nation comes to fight you, it is not because I sent them. Whoever attacks you will go down in defeat. I have created the blacksmith who fans the coals beneath the forge and makes the weapons of destruction. And I have created the armies that destroy. But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!" Seriously, do I need to elaborate more? Look, understand this, God does NOT guarantee a life free from pain and sorrow, nor an easy life free of trial and tribulation. His word promises eternal life IF we follow HIS will. God's word promises protection, security, and contentment according to HIS will. Sometimes we miss out on our blessing or opportunity because it is not wrapped up or presented in a desirable manner (a manner to which we imagined it would be). Meaning, that husband or wife we were waiting for didn't look like the Halle Berry or Laz Alonzo that we envisioned. No, instead we got who GOD had in store for us and that package came in the form of Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert, but we decided to turn the other corner. We have become too complacent with who we are, and what we want, as opposed to what God has in store for us. This passage assures us that God will deliver us, restore us, provide peace, and keep us protected for as long as we remain His faith-full and faithful servants; keep your trust in the Lord forever, and abide by His word and will for your life. No one is perfect, especially me, but our goal in fellowship is to help one another get one step closer to being the epitome of what it means to say "I am a Christian"; Christianity is a lifestyle that requires us to be Christ-like even when we think no one is looking, and with those daily actions God promises His mercy everlasting.

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, strength, and all that you've blessed us with. We thank you for your continued love, protection, and peace. Lord we thank you for comfort and strength when we need it most. We thank you for providing within us the capability in our words to claim victory over the adversary and the authority to make satan flee from us, claiming defeat every time over the enemy. Father God we claim success now, we claim victory over all obstacles and freedom from any bondage that has held us captive. We bind now every evil, malicious, attempt against us and confess that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. We bind now and claim the enemy's efforts ineffective against us in the matchless name of Jesus. We submit of affirmation of faith in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
