No Weapon (10/9/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God! Yesterday, I forgot to tell yall that in addition to everything else I have going on, I'm learning to ride a motorcycle against mother's wishes; please keep my motorcycle handling and skills development, as well as road safety in prayer always. Now, I told yall about everything that was going wrong while I was away, but here is my praise report: God helped facilitate my getting into a more reliable car; my non-profit organization is official and currently seeking volunteers and miscellaneous and/or monetary contributions (visit the website at http://fmbs-inc-bytye.org); my mother was able to get my utilities lowered; and my health and nutrition with Herbalife/FitClub is helping me to transform my body (if you're interested in any products email me at Tye.HL24@gmail.com). If you have any praise reports to share please forward them to me, because your testimony may be just what someone needs to help them get through their tribulation. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity, God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

For those of you just joining us, or those of you returning, technically we've finally finished the "power of the tongue" series. However, we have moved forward with addressing each of the daily affirmations of faith listed at the back of the book, The Tongue - A Creative Force written by Charles Capps. I recommend that as you follow along with these daily confessions, you choose those that are most suitable for your circumstance, and repeat them three times daily like a dose of medicine; when man says "no" our Father in Heaven has the authority to still say, "yes." As a refresher, the daily confessions are listed in the book under specific categories in which I will list in bold, followed by the affirmation of faith italicized, and concluded with the scripture by which it was derived. You may shoot me an email request or check my blog (listed in my signature) for past lessons or a complete list of the daily affirmations of faith, thanks.

To defeat worry and fear:
"No weapon formed against me shall prosper, for my righteousness is of the Lord. But whatever I do will prosper for I'm like a tree that's planted by the rivers of water" derived from Isaiah 54:17 and Psalm 1:3 (Capps, 1976).          Reference: Capps, C. (1976). The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, Oklahoma: Harrison House

Isaiah 54:17 says, "But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!" "Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do" (Psalm 1:1-3). As we discussed in yesterday's lesson, God's word promises protection, security, and contentment according to HIS will, NOT yours. You cannot lead a life following those who choose the way of this world, yet expect God to fulfill your every desire. But IF we remain in Him, then the desires of our heart will automatically fall in line with His will for our lives. Once we fully accept God as savior and succumb to His will for our lives, then we will be transformed by the Word and the renewing of our minds; we will be reborn and thus, we will have turned away from who we were and walk into who we are supposed to be, according to God's perfect plan. Become a faith-full and faithful servant of our Father in Heaven, keep your trust in the Lord forever, and abide by His word and will for your life, then kick-back and hold God to His promises; remain in Him and He will remain in you.

Prayer of the Day:
Lord God we praise your Holy name, thanking you for the blessings in the storm, and the joy that comes in the morning. Father God please reveal to each of us individually, the personal message that you have intended for us to receive from this lesson, and continue to open the eyes, heart, mind, and spirit of those who may still be holding back from allowing you to reveal to them who they really are, and what specific mission you have called them to. We thank you for changed hearts, for restored spirits, for deliverance, joy, and overwhelming peace and understanding. We thank you Father for clarity of our current circumstances, for contentment despite our trials, and for the ability to use your Word as the stabilizing force in our lives. Father God we thank you for allowing your Spirit to tame our tongue, that the words that depart our mouth are nothing more or less than pleasing in your sight. Hallelujah Father, we give you the highest praise, for every trial that has brought us to the point of deeper spirituality, and for every blessing that allows us to be a blessing to someone else, while we give you all the honor and praise in the process. Lord we claim now success and prosperity, we claim victory over all obstacles, and we claim freedom from any bondage that has held us captive. We bind now every evil, malicious, attempt against us and confess that no weapon formed against us shall ever prosper. We bind now and claim the enemy's efforts ineffective against us in the matchless name of Jesus. We submit this affirmation of faith in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
