Minister Grace (5/21/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory to God! I hope yall had a great weekend. By the time I send tonight's SOD off, it will probably be tomorrow. I was finishing an individual paper and some work for my team assignment for school. Anyway, continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity, God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

Returning to some of the concepts from our "power of the tongue" series, let's take a look at Proverbs 16:23: "From a wise mind comes wise speech; the words of the wise are persuasive." In the NIV translation, the term "mind" is substituted by the term "heart." Yes, the translations vary on the verbiage, however the message isn't lost. Just as God is a part of the Trinity, our mind, our mouth, and our tongue, work together as one entity with regard to what we allow to depart from our mouth. Every teacher and speaker will use phrases and concepts to further expound on a message, hence the significance of following the Lord's advice to "study to show thyself approved." Do NOT take my word for it, do NOT take your pastor's word for face value, and do NOT conform to the words instilled in you by your upbringing, rather study GOD's truth so that He may find favor in you and provide another trinity: knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. Now let's take a look at Matthew 12:34 (KJV) which says, "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh." Basically, it is what is formed within that we release out. Matthew 15:11 says, "It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth." Let us remember to speak only what is true, kind, and necessary. If what we are about to say is contrary to the Word of God, or perhaps it is not edifying that it may minister grace to the hearer, then divert the conversation or avoid speaking altogether. There is authority within Your words, so You must learn to use Your words wisely.

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we just come to you in humble praise, thanking you that despite the lies the enemy has tried to feed us, that your power supersedes and reminds us of our own abilities to speak positivity into our own lives and claim healing in the name of your Son Jesus, through faith. Lord we rebuke satan and his demons in the name of Jesus, making them harmless and ineffective against us. We thank you that we are healed from all sickness and disease; we deny any germ or virus to operate in our body in the name of Jesus. Father God we deny the enemy authority in our lives, and we take back everything that the adversary has stolen from us. We thank you for redemption, deliverance, healing, and full restoration physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally, in the matchless name of Jesus. We thank you for your continued protection, love, and grace. We submit our affirmation of faith Father God, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
