All honor and glory to God! I am sad to report that one of our puppies didn't make it, and one of our dams, Nala, has been trying to pass her puppies since 8:00 p.m. last night; she is having an emergency c-section as I type, so her survival, as well as the rest of the puppies, is of great concern to our family. We thank you in advance for your continued prayers. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity, God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."
Yesterday, we covered the 3rd woe in our "seven woes" series. We were reminded that regardless to swearing by God, shaking hands in agreement, signing a written contract, or a making a verbal agreement of some sort, a promise is a promise and we should stand firm on our word. God sees all and knows all, and by the knowledge we gain from reading His word, WE are INDIVIDUALLY held responsible for the information and instruction we receive through studying God's word. Furthermore, we are expected to apply these principles to our daily lives. Now, on to woe number 4... "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel" (Matthew 23:23-24 ~ NIV) Basically what this passage is referring to, again as it applies to this era, is our pick-and-choose mentality as it relates to God's directives. We choose what we deem is right, appropriate, and worth applying to our lifestyles based on convenience. For example, we may faithfully tithe, or perhaps refrain from vulgarity and gossip, yet, we carry-on relationships built on fornication, and fail to forgive others as God has forgiven us. We choose to abide by some of God's laws, yet ignore other guidelines for living... the suggestions for good health, peace, and contentment. The example used in this passage makes reference to the Pharisees' meticulous ceremonial cleanliness (they took care of the outside), however, they failed to remember to care for their inner purity (what they physically, and mentally consumed). Yes, it is necessary to follow God's commandments, but we must NOT forget the directives in-between, such as giving our time and extending our resources to help others. The commandments are laws that we must follow, however, just because we follow one or two of God's commands, NEITHER exempts us from following the rest, NOR does it pardon us from fulfilling God's additional instructions.
Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for the sacrifice of your only Son, who saved our sins and provided us with a super natural healing that people of this world cannot comprehend. We thank you for taming our tongue that the words of our mouth may always be pleasing in your sight, and will always produce positive and favorable outcomes in every circumstance. Lord we thank you for sparing the lives Nala and the newborn puppies, ensuring that they receive adequate nourishment and are filled with strength. Lord we thank you for complete healing that has restored our spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical state of being. We thank you for joyful attitudes in the midst of adversity, cheerful moods in the face of the enemy, peace in our storms, and comfort through our trials. We thank you for your continued protection over each of us individually, our families, our friends, our homes, our modes of transportation, our pets, and those homes and families in our surrounding communities. We praise your name Father, thanking you that our burdens, debts, and obstacles are no longer holding us hostage. We thank you for releasing any form of bondage holding us back from a deeper relationship with you, and for giving us the freedom to raise our hands humbly in praise to you. We thank you for the victory over sin, satan, and his demons, in the matchless name of your Son Jesus Christ, this is our affirmation of faith, Amen!
