SALUTATIONS: Happy Sabbath Everyone! I hope that yall had a wonderful week. In an effort to bring more souls to Christ, I invite you and someone you know to visit my church's worship service tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Rubidoux SDA Church, 5320 Victoria Ave., Riverside, CA, 92506. If for some reason you cannot make it to church, you can view our live stream and/or the archived sermons at http://rubitv.tv. I want to remind everyone to SHARE your praise reports; it is "by the blood of the Lamb and by the Word" of our testimonies that we overcome the adversary (refer to Revelation 12:11 here https://goo.gl/o3FSTT). Although this is an announcement, for those who have a tendency to skip through the lesson, I generated two more prayers: one is an intercessory prayer, the other is a bedtime prayer; a further explanation is detailed in the Announcements following our fellowship lesson. Be safe and responsible this weekend, and try to relax, stress less, and trust God more.
PRAISE REPORTS: GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!
PRAYER REQUESTS: My friend Jennifer has necessary surgical procedures that she is being denied as a result of other health complications, which is triggering bouts of sadness and depression. Although we prayed for my cousin Lanesha to raise funds to bury her mom, she is still short the funding for funeral services and is also dealing with added family drama. On another note, my son Josias has been extremely clingy and fussy lately. At 5 months he began refusing to drink my milk in any other form aside from nursing, which also put a swift holt on my transitioning him to sleep in his own crib. Honestly, I don't mind co-sleeping, but the constant crying and tantrums interfere with my productivity. So, I'm soliciting prayers for Josias to be weaned off nursing smoothly, to knock it off with the temper tantrums, and to possibly to be comfortable sleeping in his own crib. Let's also remember the victims of the hurricanes and earthquakes, and continue to pray for one another, thanking Yahweh for the victory while refraining from confessing the problem caused by the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome (refer to the book The Tongue – A Creative Force, by Charles Capps; you can buy it here https://goo.gl/NWEf7i).
BE ENCOURAGED... NEVER lose sight of God in the midst of adversity: Ponder this: “Thou shouldst eat to live; not live to eat” (Socrates). I'm no theological scholar, and even if I were a pastor or an expert on God's word, I would still advise you NEVER to take someone else's word as solid truth; "Study to show thyself approved" (II Timothy 2:15), and CHALLENGE EVERYTHING by comparing it to the Word of God. If what you see, hear or read does NOT fall in line with the Word of God, then it is NOT true... The rest of this day isn't promised, let alone tomorrow, so why not strengthen your faith TODAY? Feed your body healthy nutrition, be cautious of what things you allow your eyes, ears, and spirit to be exposed to (e.g. media, books, TV, music, etc.) so that you can start anew and become a better you NOW, not later.
FEATURED SONGS OF PRAISE: "The Best in Me" by Marvin Sapp you can listen here (https://goo.gl/j5qv6t); "Grateful People (Feat. Darrel Walls)" by Anthony Brown & Group Therapy you can listen here (https://goo.gl/3hU8eE).
OPENING PRAYER: Yahweh, please clear our minds and open our eyes, ears, and hearts so that we may see, hear, and receive your intended message from this fellowship. In the name of Yeshua, Amen!
PASSAGE – LUKE 17:3-4: "Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him."

REFLECTIONS: This week's character check focuses on "forgiving" - how do you rate yourself? I must say, and I don't think I'm the only one, that I can forgive but not forget. However, the Word says that when Yahweh forgives our sins, He basically erases them because He "NEVER" remembers them after we have accepted His forgiveness (refer to Isaiah 43:25 here (https://goo.gl/5mgMEH). So then, when we claim to forgive someone, only to remember their transgressions against us, have we truly forgiven them? If you find yourself bringing up the past in a conversation with said individual(s), then you probably haven't really embraced the true concept of forgiveness. I'll be the first to admit my guilt.
To be quite honest, without a DEEP relationship with Yahweh (God) through Yeshua (Jesus), there is absolutely NO way that you can wholeheartedly forgive someone. A "deep" relationship with the Godhead (God the Father, the Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit) is developed when you spend time with Him through prayer, praise, worship, and studying His Word; it is through His Word that we receive the principles of life - how to live, how to think, and how to build a character that mirrors His. Last week, I attached a prayer meant to be recited in the morning BEFORE doing anything else, so that you can exercise spending time with God; the more that we dwell in Him, giving Him our first moments of the day, and spending time in His Word, His will becomes transcribed in our hearts and manifests itself in our character - our thought processes and our behavior. As the Word begins to manifest in our daily decision-making process, we will be more inclined to follow the instruction of the Lord to forgive our transgressors "seventy times seven" (refer to Matthew 18:22 here https://goo.gl/EPp6q6).
Forgiving others is a necessary part of spiritual growth, because, without it, we may as well consider our own sins unforgiven. Here's why... the Bible tells us in Mark 11:25-26 that "... when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses." If you claim to be saved, then you're saying that you are in Christ; II Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new," which essentially means that if you had issues with forgiving your transgressors before you accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, then after your rebirth, it should no longer be an issue. However, if there's still a struggle, then reevaluate your relationship with the Lord, and start making the necessary adjustments, now.
I John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord" (Acts 3:19). It is vital not only to confess our sins to the Lord but to also repent. Some may be confused, as the two are often used interchangeably. Yet, there is a difference between confessing your sins to seek forgiveness from God and repentance; confession is simply our admission of sin and request for forgiveness, whereas repentance involves remorse that leads to the action of stopping said sins. That being said, I will end this lesson on "forgiving" with more scriptures that offer guidance on forgiveness:
- Colossians 3:13: "Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye."
- **Matthew 6:12, 14-15: "And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors... For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.'"**
- Ephesians 4:31-32: "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
- **Ephesians 1:7: "In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace."**
- Hebrews 10:17: "And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more."
- **Daniel 9:9: "To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him."**
** Points out the more significant scriptures of our focal point; you may read the NLT version of the above passages here https://goo.gl/cRxSwW
POWER IN PRAYER: Yahweh, we thank you for providing protection and relief for those affected by the recent hurricanes and earthquakes. We thank you for reversing Jennifer's symptoms that are hindering her eligibility for her needed surgical procedures; as she heals in one area, prepare her body for the coming operations, and be with the doctors overseeing her surgeries, that she may be successfully operated on, and experience a speedy and full recovery. We praise you for providing Lanesha the additional funding needed to move forward with planning the funeral services for her late mother. We thank you for bringing a calming Spirit to Josias so that he is not constantly having temper tantrums, and crying spells; thank you for allowing his weaning from breastfeeding and transition into sleeping in his own crib, to be a smooth and welcomed process for Tylesha. We praise you for your grace and comfort delivered to those of us experiencing grief, for providing us with clear, concise, and undeniable answers and solutions to our concerns. Thank you for delivering us from: strongholds, addiction, anger, resentment, heartache, disease, illness, pain, financial debt, stress, anxiety, and depression; for breaking any chains attached to the individuals reading or reciting this prayer, and for the people that we stand in intercessory prayer for. We thank you for providing the peace and complete healing that we have been promised by the stripes of Jesus. In these end times, we appreciate your extra hedge of protection over our children, our households, our modes of transportation, and our surroundings; may we forever be fixed on Jesus, steadfast on your Word and your will, and may we develop and maintain a deep and strong relationship with you. May we be filled with the desire to transform into the individuals that you have called us to be. Achieve in us the ability to pray game-changing prayers – prayers that change people, change outcomes, and help your will to manifest. We grant your angels permission to do our bidding on earth and we thank you for protecting us from its recourse. For everyone and everything we have failed to pray for, we ask that you do not fail to address the concern. This is our trusted prayer, we submit to you in the matchless name of Yeshua, Amen!
HEALTHY LIVING TIPS ... Change begins within: As yall know, I had stopped eating meat cold turkey, no pun intended, for a good 4 months. Then I lost so much weight that my undergarments began to droop and my fitting pants now sag. I went from my desired 140lbs to a slender 125lbs which I haven't seen nor desired since high school. Thus, about 2 weeks ago, I chose to start eating meat again, and my acne has resurfaced; during the months I was practicing a plant-based diet, my face had cleared significantly, even despite my bouts of stress which is the main contributor to my cystic acne outbreaks. I knew immediately that my face was breaking out as a result of returning to consuming meat because nothing else has changed in my life outside of that. There are so many studies that show that vegetarian populations have lower rates of hypertension, and reduced blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Some studies even show that a vegan diet can lead to a reversal of diseases such as asthma, and ailments like chronic pain. If you're looking for the fountain of youth, it's a combination of a plant-based diet and regular exercise. I'm taking my cue from here, what about you?
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Last week I put together a "Command Your Morning Prayer" by using a compilation of good prayers that I've come across; this prayer is meant to help facilitate you in spending time with Yahweh FIRST thing in the morning, BEFORE all else. This week, I put together both an Intercessory Prayer, to help usher you into praying for specific concerns, and for other people, as well as a Bedtime Prayer to unwind before you go to sleep; all of the aforementioned prayers are available upon request. On another note, unfortunately, Fostering Mind, Body, and Soul Incorporated (FMBS Inc.) did NOT meet the quota (15 orders) necessary for a successful Christian apparel fundraising campaign with Bonfire; after relaunching the campaign 6 times, only 3 people made purchases on separate occasions. Yet, without meeting the quota, Bonfire will not begin production on apparel and instead, refunds the buyers. I am going to put this campaign to rest for a while; you may still make monetary donations and contributions of other items anytime throughout the year. FMBS Inc. uses all its donations and contributions to give back to the community – supplying those in need with food, water, hygiene items, and other essentials. Our recipients are selected by referral, and by canvassing the streets of LA County and the I.E. for deserving families and individuals with a need. You may arrange any monetary donations or item contributions at any time via email at fmbsinc_2012@outlook.com. Another way FMBS Inc. raises funds is through the Ralph's/Food 4 Less Community Contribution Program; you must go to their website here http://www.friendsindeedpas.org/get-involved/ralphs-community-contribution-program/ and link your rewards cards or telephone numbers ("Alt ID") to our organization each year, and we will earn money for every purchase made under your linked rewards. Within the past few months, I have written a total of 6 children's books. My books are targeted for the toddler - 6 y/o age groups; they range from educational, to inspirational, and spiritual. I would love to have them illustrated and published, hence, I started a campaign via GoFundMe to help fund at least two of my children's books, and to help me start-up an e-commerce store so that I can remain a stay-at-home mother and homeschool my son; If you haven't already, you can make a donation here https://www.gofundme.com/josiaskhari, but even if you cannot make a contribution/donation yourself, SHARE the link and other information with EVERYONE, and on ALL of your social media outlets because sharing is caring 😊. Your continued support is always appreciated. Please keep spreading the word. #SOW
JOIN OUR CAUSE: Fostering Mind, Body, and Soul Incorporated (FMBS Inc.) is on a never-ending quest to locate deserving individuals to extend our services to. Therefore, we are always in need of monetary donations and/or contributions of hygiene items, sealed snacks, bottled water, seasonal items (gloves, scarves, blankets, umbrellas, sunglasses, sunscreen), mini Bibles, reading books, etc.; our YEAR-ROUND mission is to serve homeless and/or needy individuals and families in underprivileged communities throughout Southern California. We also need DEDICATED volunteers and members – is this your calling? We are successful because of YOUR continued support. Please continue to back us up through participation, and/or by encouraging others to join our cause!
