Release Faith (11/8/11)

Greetings Everyone,
I was tired when I got home today, so I took a nap. By the time you receive this SOD, it will be tomorrow, or should I say today? Whomp! Whomp! I know. On another note, I successfully completed my first course in my Masters degree program, which was Communication Skills for Graduate Students, but today starts my first course of study for my major, Psychology. Boy oh boy, this instructor is no joke. Everything must be in essay form and APA format. I understand having that expectation for major assignments, but class participation posts to the forums must be at least 300 words for each discussion post, and I must quote and reference some type of article... *headache* well, I guess I go back to burring my head in the books - e-books rather, pray for me yall. Forgive me now if I am unable to attend any events that you invite me to. Anyway, continue to pray for one another and speak your desired outcome into every situation. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

James 2:20 says, "...faith without works is dead." Faith that is not released into action is as gas that has not been ignited, it produces NO power. As translated in The Message,James 5-6 says, "It only takes a spark, remember, to set off a forest fire. A careless or wrongly placed word out of your mouth can do that. By our speech we can ruin the world, turn harmony to chaos, throw mud on a reputation, send the whole world up in smoke and go up in smoke with it, smoke right from the pit of hell." By our own nature, we are not powerful enough to tame the tongue, but we serve an awesome God, whose Spirit when released by Faith, can control the things that we utter from the mouth. Acts 1:8 says, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere..." "Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages (tongues), as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability" (Acts 2:3-4). We all posses power in our words, so whether we speak negativity or positivity into existence is a choice. By the very own words of Your mouth, You have the ability to speak prosperity into Your life, or speak Your own demise, or someone else's for that matter. You ever make a prediction out loud about someone else's life? For example, you have a friend or loved one who chooses to be with someone that you don't necessarily approve of or don't care for, and your response to their relationship, be-it directly or indirectly is, "that relationship isn't going to last," "I give that marriage a year, tops." Or what about the boy who seems to be going down the wrong pathway, instead of encouraging him, you scold him and speak things into existence in his presence or behind his back in the presence of others, saying things like, "he's going end up in jail," or "he's going to be no good, just like his father." Or what about the teenage mother, "her life is ruined, now all she can do is live off our tax dollars," "she's not going to make anything of herself." Have your predictions ever been right? Guess why... because God's word says in Matthew 15:11, "It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth." Proverbs 12:18 says, "Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing." This warns we can make statements of negativity that are damaging to our prosperity, our mental state, and our overall well being, and/or someone else's. The Word tells us to "speak those things that be not as though they were," and "whatsoever we ask in faith, shall be given to us," so if what we are doing is gossiping about someone else's life choices, predicting what negativity we believe will befall upon them, or speaking our own demise aloud, with confidence (faith/trust) that it will happen that way, then we can only blame ourselves for our own failures. STOP speaking negativity into existence, STOP contributing to negative input that is released by others in someone else's life, and STOP allowing satan to influence the words of your mouth that you release in faith; release the ability of Your words in faith to produce ONLY POSITIVE outcomes. (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, OklahomaHarrison House, 1976.)

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for the sacrifice of your only Son to save our sins and provide us with a super natural healing that science cannot understand. We thank you for taming our tongue that the words of our mouth may always be pleasing in your sight, and will always produce positive and favorable outcomes in every circumstance. Lord we thank you that you are NOT like man; you love us despite our downfalls, despite past doubts and frustrations in your power, you love us and forgive us unconditionally, so we thank you and praise your glorious name Father. Lord we thank you for complete healing that has restored our spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical state of being. We thank you for joyful attitudes in the midst of adversity, cheerful moods in the face of the enemy, peace in our storms, and comfort through our trials. We thank you for your continued protection over each of us individually, our families, our friends, our homes, our modes of transportation, and those homes and families in our surrounding areas. We thank you for the ability to smile even though our mountain appears to be too big, but we thank you that it is all a part of the devil's facade, and we praise you that our burdens, debts, and obstacles are no longer holding us hostage; we thank you for releasing those shackles of bondage and giving us the freedom to raise our hands humbly in praise to you for our victory over sin, satan, and his demons, in the matchless name of your Son Jesus Christ, this is our confession, Amen!
