Consider Your Words (4/17/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and Glory to God! A friend of mine asked me to pray for her friend Ingrid, whose sister just passed away from a form of lupus; let's keep the family in prayer. On another note, I have misplaced my book again, so we will just study in fellowship as the Spirit leads me to share. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversityGod Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

In yesterday's lesson we covered that with everything we choose to place energy in, is a formed thought - something we conceive in our Spirit. However, once we speak those things into existence (formed by the tongue), it becomes a power that we unleash, be-it negative or positive. We were encouraged to STOP confessing our fears and allowing them to manifest in our lives. And we were reminded that what we speak out of our mouths stems from what is abundantly in our heart. You must "study to show thyself approved," so that YOU may be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Allow Your mind to be renewed by the Word of God (refer to Ephesians 1:17-18 and Romans 12:2). If we take a look at Proverbs 18:20-21, we are warned that, "Wise words satisfy like a good meal; the right words bring satisfaction. The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences." Now in one of our previous lessons we discussed the various translations of the Bible. Many people argue that the Bible is unreliable due to its many translations, I beg to differ. Look at it like this, one version may be like reading a foreign language, another may be like reading literature that is above your literary comprehension, then there is the Layman's term version, and the Bible for dummies version (no offense to anyone)... We just read the NLT version, but I'd like to also share this passage as it reads in The Message, and Amplified Bible, just to break these verses down a little further. The Amplified Bible reads, "A man's [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil]. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]." As it translates in The Message, this passage reads, "Words satisfy the mind as much as fruit does the stomach; good talk is as gratifying as a good harvest. Words kill, words give life; they're either poison or fruit—you choose." There is creative power within Your words, so You must learn to use Your words effectively; YOU have the ability to speak good or bad outcomes into your life and the lives of othersConsider your words CAREFULLY BEFORE you speak. Ask yourself this, "will the words I want to utter, speak life into my current circumstance?; will my words be good to edifying, that they may minister grace to the hearer?; or will my words confess defeat from the enemy and increased decline in prosperity?" We all say a lot of things that we shouldn't, however, it is not too late to be transformed by the word of God. To piggy-back on yet another lesson, God gave YOU authority, and His creative power in Word form; the power is in Your words, and it works. God's creative power is produced by the heart, formed by the tongue, and released out of the mouth in the form of WORDS. Learn to operate in the ABILITY OF GOD and release that ability IN YOU, by the FAITH FILLED WORDS of Your mouth. It is through the very own words of our mouth, that we establish failure or success in our lives; learn to use Your words wisely. Repetition is the key to memorizing, and practice is pivotal to getting it right. (Reference: Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for all that you have blessed us with thus far, as well as future blessings already set in motion. Lord we praise you now for providing peace to Ingrid and her family in their time of bereavement; thanking you for rendering comfort in knowing that her sister will suffer no more physical pain nor pangs of life. We thank you for strengthening our ability to effectively use our words to produce favorable outcomes. We thank you for redemption, and dexterity to reverse all the negativity we once spoke into existence. We deny the right of the enemy to exist in our lives, and thank you for removing the heavy load that we once tried to carry alone. We thank you for deliverance from pain, suffering, debts, struggles, and worries. Father God we thank you for the strength to stand firm through the test of our trials. We thank you for the discernment to know when the enemy is afoot, and for the nerve to take back control through the power of the tongue. We confess that no weapon formed against us will ever prosper, and we claim now, defeat over our adversaries. We thank you for your continued blessings of protection, and for the peace that passeth all understanding. This is our affirmation of faith Father God, we submit our claim to you in the name of Jesus, Amen!
