All honor and praise be to God! Ok, so I know yall have missed me, because I've missed yall. As yall know, I am asthmatic, and had suffered a severe respiratory complication, accompanied by a chronic cough that only a prescribed narcotic cough syrup could control. During which, my cough kept me awake at night, and the combination of my under-the-weatherness and sleep deprivation had drained me. I had thought I recovered, and sent yall a SOD at that time, and then "ding-dong," the cough was back at my door. In an attempt to nurse myself back to health, I took the time apart to rest. With the demands of my commute to and from work, and my school assignments, I didn't get as much rest as I would've liked, although some would beg to differ. But I'm ready to get back on track. Previously, I told yall about my non-profit organization (NPO) that I'm working to establish. My cousin Toya is my liaison, and she recently informed me that my tax ID number arrived. I'm excited about that. My NPO is called Fostering Mind, Body, and Soul Incorporated or FMBS Inc. Our mission is to provide sustenance in the form of assistance (clothes, food, etc.), resources (job skills, shelter locations, etc.), ministry, and mentorship to the less fortunate, homeless, and at-risk youth in surrounding communities. FYI, I'm soliciting non-paid volunteers to build up this organization. Also in news, in an effort to be more productive and create a schedule that allows a decent amount of sleep at night (excluding tonight), I started a schedule which includes a workout - YIKES! This is just day one, but I'm in it to win it. On another note, a classmate of mine, Mikaela, had announced to us last week that she had just found out that she was pregnant, and unfortunately, she lost the baby over the weekend. Also, my aunt Myra just buried her father this past weekend so we wanna keep Mikaela and her husband, and Myra and her family in prayer in their time of bereavement. Lastly, my friends Guillermo and Monika, their concerns shall remain unspoken but God knows their need, so pray as the Spirit leads. Thanks in advance, and my apologies for the lengthy prologue, but it's been a while. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity, God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."
I know that we still haven't finished the Power of the Tongue Series, but I'm compelled to go in this direction... during a time of discouragement, I picked up my Bible and turned to the Book of Psalm and happened to lay my eyes on Psalm 23, which reads, "The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; He leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to His name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever." I was feeling down that day and just wondering why life is the way it is, and the reflection on my sufferings was so overwhelming that I started to cry. I attempted to call someone whom I turn to when I need an encouraging word, but the line was busy. I tried several times... still busy. So I recited my daily affirmations of faith, and then opened my bible. Glory be to God! I was immediately at peace as I read this passage. My tears were no longer full of sorrow, but of joyful praise. In the midst of adversity, we sometimes allow our struggles to conceal our blessings; we have all that we NEED, but the desires of the heart are selfish and do NOT always fall in line with the will of God, therefore, we are not always granted our desires. One of the major concepts in our Power of the Tongue series relies not solely on the words we utter from our mouth, but the entire process behind making our words work for or against us. We must remember that with everything we choose to place energy in, is a formed thought - something we conceive in our Spirit. However, once we speak those things into existence (formed by the tongue), it becomes a power that we unleash, be-it negative or positive. God's word says, "speak those things that be not as though they were." So if the seed (beliefs, needs, and desires) we plant with our words is negative, then so shall we reap negative fruits (outcomes). But if the seed we plant is positive, then so shall we reap desirable fruit. STOP confessing Your fears and allowing them to manifest in Your life. The Lord always spoke to the problem - He spoke the desired (end) results. The word says, "A tree is identified by its fruit. If a tree is good, its fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad" (Matthew 12:33). What YOU speak out of YOUR mouth stems from what is abundantly in your heart. "Study God's word to show thyself approved," so that YOU may be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Allow Your mind to be renewed by the Word of God (refer to Ephesians 1:17-18 and Romans 12:2).
Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and the spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional healing of our mind, body, soul, and heart. Father God we praise you now thanking you for the comfort you have provided Mikaela and her husband as they deal with the miscarriage of their unborn child; Lord we thank you now for blessing them with a healthy baby, and for allowing this experience to prepare them for that parenthood. Father God we bless your holy name, thanking you for the relief you have provided Myra and her family in their time a bereavement, and for strengthening their bond in a time of weakness. Lord we thank you for blessing Guillermo and Monika beyond measure, addressing the concerns of their heart, and providing the peace that passeth all understanding. Lord we thank you for the discipline to gather and plant the seeds of our words and allowing that power to work for us positively and favorably. Father we thank you for keeping us completely open to receive our full blessings, knowledge, wisdom, and understanding from you. Father God we thank you for holding the enemy accountable for all attacks and attempts against us. We thank you for keeping us filled with your presence, filled with your peace, and filled with constant happiness. Father God we thank you completely restoring broken relationships in our homes, at work, at school, and in our personal affairs. We thank you for your continued protection, love, and grace. We thank you for forgiveness, and we thank you that we are no longer haunted by our past guilt, pain, and sorrow, but instead we rise, and we lean unto you for comfort, healing, happiness, and tranquility. We thank you for the victory, the understanding of every circumstance that we may come up against, and we thank you that no weapon formed against us will ever prosper. This is our affirmation of faith, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
