Words of the Wise II (6/6/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and praise be to God! Again, I'd like to solicit your donations in the form of toiletries, stationary, monetary contributions, and other resourceful items for my non-profit organization, FMBS Inc., for the purpose of putting together care packages for our deployed troops. I'm also seeking interested individuals who would like to join my staff of volunteers; please be advised that your agreement to volunteering with my organization, does not obligate you to specific hours nor events. Please contact me ASAP to discuss any donations and/or volunteer service, and please spread the word, thanks in advance. Just a FYI to the newbies, unless otherwise specified in parenthesis, I typically use passages from the New Living Translation (NLT) version of the Bible. On another note, one of my BFF's recently found out that she is pregnant, and today she found out that she's having twins; please keep Jill's pregnancy and 1st time parenthood in prayer, thanks. Anyway, continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity, God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

Proverbs 12:14-18 (NIV) says, "From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things as surely as the work of his hands rewards him. The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice. A fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult. A truthful witness gives honest testimony, but a false witness tells lies. Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing." By the very words we speak out of our mouth, we will either be satisfied or disappointed in life. People, including ourselves, can make statements of negativity that are damaging to our prosperity, our mental state, and our overall well being. Some of us desire God to fill a void, yet we continue to speak and pray the problem, not the answer - believers, use their tongue to destroy their faith. Faith cannot work when doubt is in the midst of it. You hold yourself captive, by speaking negative circumstances into existence; God's word says that you can have what you say if you believe without a doubt. It is through Your very own words that You establish failure or success in your own life. Establish what God has already prepared for You, by speaking His promises into existence in Your own life. Surrender all to God, and STOP allowing the enemy to convince you to settle for negativity"So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). The word says, "I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours (Mark 11:24)(Capps, C. (1976). The Tongue - A Creative Force. Prayer of the Day:
Lord God we thank you for your protection, love, grace, and forgiveness. We thank you for the peace that passeth all understanding, for bringing all those things that were once in the dark into the light, and for bringing clarity to some much needed decisions that we've been waiting for your approval to make. We thank you for giving us back the strength and faith in our ability to use our words to produce favorable outcomes. We thank you for providing Jill with a healthy prenatal and postpartum pregnancy, with a smooth delivery and healthy babies, and increase and strengthen her blessings and unity within her home and support system. We thank you for FMBS Inc.'s successful campaign to raise contributions to send care packages to our troops. We thank you for keeping us filled with the Spirit, that our tongue may be tamed, only to formulate words that are good to edifying that they may minister grace to the hearer. Father God we thank you for our healing, restoration, deliverance, and mended hearts. We thank you for the strength to keep moving forward with a new attitude and gratitude, we thank you for the great and bad moments that help mold us into better examples of what it means to be a child of Christ. We thank you for your breath of life, and for providing yourself as a refuge when we have no where else to turn. We thank you for not turning your back on us, even when we lose hope in you. We thank you for a renewed mind, and for relieving us of our debts by providing our every need as well as the desires of our heart, that fall in line with your word and will. Ultimately Father, thy will be done. We thank you now for the victory already won. This is our affirmation of faith, in the matchless name of Jesus, Amen!
