Powerful Words (6/25/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory to God! I know yall missed me, because I missed me. Not to sound vain, it's just that I probably need this online ministry more than anyone. It keeps me slightly on track. Anyway, thanks for your genuine concern and prayers, I have been doing well. See "what had happened was..." I have been getting less and less sleep, and the demands of my classes have increased. So, you know how you are so tired that your start reading the same sentence over and over again in-between dozing off? Well, that was me, so I chose sleep. Every now and then, all my faithful followers should know this by now, my lack of sleep catches up to me, so I take a needed break. One day it will all balance out for the better. However, know that I have continued to pray for each of you, and specifically for those who have asked me to, or whom God may have placed on my heart. Anyway, time is nearing, so if yall are still interested in working with Fostering Mind, Body, and Soul Incorporated (FMBS Inc.) to supply our deployed troops with care packages, it's crunch time so get with me ASAP, thanks in advance. Continue to keep one another in prayer, especially for broken relationships (namely marriages), and those suffering from emotional instability, while thanking God in advance for the victory. Remember to REFRAIN from praying (confessing) the problem (unfavorable outcome), but ALWAYS speak (pray/confess) the answer (desired result) into existence. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity, God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

Oh buddy, I tell you, when they say "easier said than done," that is the truth. Because as much as I believe in the principles of this series "the power of the tongue," I have spoken some things into existence out of habit of confessing pessimism influenced by societal norms. However, "YOUR FAITH IS YOUR VOICE OF AUTHORITY. Be careful what you authorize things to do" (Capps, 1976). God's word teaches that we can have what we say if we "speak those things that be not as though they were," with the faith that they have already been done. Instead of us speaking our desired results however, we have a tendency to resort to customary habits of claiming defeat - we plant seeds of failure and disappointment, so come harvest time, we reap what we've sown - lack, defeat, inability, financial hardship, emotional instability, and heartache are amongst those things that were have harvested in abundance, as the principles of Genesis advocate to confess with your mouth, believe in your heart, and receive your blessings. God always spoke first His desired result... He said "let there be light," and so it came to be, because He believed in His own words. We were made in His image and also given the same authority in our very own words, to claim our desired results into existence. Matthew 12:37 says, "The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you," and as translated in The Message this verse reads, "Words are powerful; take them seriously. Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation." (Capps, C. (1976). The Tongue - A Creative Force. Harrison House (pp.143). Tulsa, OK: Harrison House.)

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we praise your holy name, and thank you for your continued favor and mercy. Father we thank you for building up broken relationships and especially strengthening those troubled marriages. Father God we thank you for lifting up the spirit of those dealing with heartache, depression, and especially PTSD, and providing complete comfort and deliverance from any emotional setbacks. Lord we thank you for prosperity with Tylesha's non-profit organization, FMBS Inc., and the success of her first mission to provide care packages to the deployed troops. Lord We thank you for keeping us filled with the Spirit, that our tongue may be tamed, only to formulate words that are good to edifying that they may minister grace to the hearer. Father God we thank you for our healing, restoration, deliverance, and mended hearts. We thank you for the strength to keep moving forward with a new attitude and gratitude, we thank you for the great and bad moments that help mold us into better examples of what it means to be a child of Christ. We thank you for your breath of life, and for providing yourself as a refuge when we have no where else to turn. We thank you for not turning your back on us, even when we lose hope in you. We thank you for a renewed mind, and for relieving us of our debts by providing our every need as well as the desires of our heart, that fall in line with your word and will. Ultimately Father, thy will be done. We thank you now for the victory already won. This is our affirmation of faith, in the matchless name of Jesus, Amen!
