Voice of Authority II (6/4/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory to God! I hope yall had a wonderful holiday weekend. As yall can see, I took an extended vaca out of pure laziness, I'll just keep it real wit'cha. Anyway, let's get back on point, rather let me get back on point. Before we get into the lesson, if yall recall I finally established my non-profit organization, FMBS Inc.. For those of yall new to the Scripture of the Day (SOD), my organization is geared toward giving back to the underprivileged communities around Southern California, in the form of providing meals, clothing, ministry, mentorship, and other useful resources to the homeless, less fortunate, and at-risk youth. I am however, still looking for volunteers to help build up this empire. Being that I am a United States Navy Veteran, the first order of business for FMBS Inc. is to provide care packages to our troops on deployment, in lieu of Independence Day. If you or someone you know is interested, I will be collecting donations in the form of toiletries, and other basic essentials, as well as stationary. If you prefer to give a monetary donation, I will be accepting those as well. All donations will be accounted for so that all contributors will know how their donations were utilized. In addition, if you would like to join my volunteer staff, please correspond with my team at sustenance@fmbs-inc-bytye.org. If you want to donate to our saluting the troops, please let me know at your earliest convenience, so that we may arrange a pick up or drop off location. Thanks in advance. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity, God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

Ok yall, so just by chance I recovered our reading for the "power of the tongue" series. For the new members in our fellowship, I am referring to The Tongue - A Creative Force by Charles Capps. Ok, so let's recap from the last lesson we covered in this series. In the book of Luke, Chapter 17, Jesus tells us how the object that we speak to, should be obedient to our words. We were reminded that if we maintain faith in the abilities and capabilities that God has already given us within, then Faith is the Voice of Authority, and whatever our object may be, WE possess the AUTHORITY in OUR FAITH-FILLED WORDS to restore, rebuild, reverse, enhance, increase, and/or remove that object in the matchless name of Jesus. Earlier in our series we referenced the example of people claiming sickness into existence. My daddy loves to tease my mother and I with this, "don't claim your sickness." What's funny is, I do consciously adhere to that concept; if my throat hurts, I feel a sneeze coming on, and/or my symptoms are written all over my face, when someone asks "are you getting sick?" I simply reply "no, I don't get sick." They may have a come-back like, "well you don't look like you're feeling well," and I say, "I'm just under the weather, I'll be better in a few days." I'm sure my approach could be improved, but in the past I'd say, "I think I'm getting sick," and the moment I confessed that into existence, the more symptoms I acquired. Then, the more symptoms that developed, the more I basked in the idea of being "sick," and the more miserable I felt. Why you ask? Because, I spoke that illness into existence. The Word however, teaches us that Christ died on the cross to not only save our sins, but to HEAL us by His blood; by the stripes of Jesus Christ we were healed before any ailments could manifest. Yet since we "speak those things that be not as though they were," we reap unfavorable outcomes, because we have spoken the problem and not the solution (desired results)Proverbs 6:2 (KJV) warns, "Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth." Whether you realize it or not, the words YOU speak are working for or against you. Reevaluate your circumstance, assessing how much opposition to the Word of God has influenced your words, and then evaluate the increase in undesired results that followed the negativity that YOU chose to speak into existence, despite its contradiction to God's word(Capps, C. (1976). The Tongue - A Creative Force. Harrison House (pp.141-142). Tulsa, OK: Harrison House.)

Prayer of the Day:
Lord we thank you for your grace and mercy. We thank you for the peace that passeth all understanding. We thank you for the growth, prosperity, success, and resourcefulness of FMBS Inc. in the community. Father God we thank you for the knowledge that satan is a deceiver, and for the ability in our words alone to defeat the enemy. Lord God, we praise your holy name for your continued favor, love, grace, and protection. We thank you for the ability to smile when we are hurting. We thank you for revealing what darkness has kept in the shade. We thank you for providing clarity in the midst of satan's confusion. We thank you for the victory over sin, illness, and disease, defeat over the enemy, and deliverance from a heavy load of burdens. We thank you for the strength to keep on keeping on, and the power of our words to make the devil flee. We thank you for reversing all the negative and undesired outcomes as a result of our very own words, and for restoring complete positivity into every facet of our lives. We thank you for keeping us filled with the Spirit, that the words that depart our mouth, no longer posses corruption, rather, our words now speak life into every circumstance, and may our words always be acceptable and pleasing in your sight. This is our affirmation of faith, we present this claim in the name of Jesus, Amen!

~~ Tylesha ~~
