That's the Point (7/11/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory to God! I know, I know, it's been a while. I actually was on vacation and didn't get around to messaging yall about my trip. Just a FYI, I am still struggling with sticking to a consistent schedule that effectively balances my workload and includes sufficient sleep, hence my inconsistency with the production of the SOD; I either nap too long, or get caught up typing a paper due to procrastination as a result of my severe lethargy. Anyway, I am working on it. I want to also take this time to let those know, who may have extended a prayer request to me during my absence, you were NOT forgotten. I did pray for every concern each time your request entered my mind. I also have some unfortunate news, Darius Person, whom we prayed fervently for as he sat in a coma due to walking pneumonia, passed days after he collapsed at the tender age of 30. On behalf of Antonio Montgomery, cousin of Darius, and their family, I extend a hearty thank you and appreciation for your prayers; may God bless and keep his soul. On another note, thank you to all those who have contributed to my non-profit organization, FMBS Inc., by donating items for our troops. For those still interested in working with my organization, please see the attachment for specifics and contact me so that I can arrange a pick-up or drop-off for any contributions. Thanks in advance. Remember to REFRAIN from praying (confessing) the problem (unfavorable outcome), but ALWAYS speak (pray/confess) the answer (desired result) into existence. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity, God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

"He said, 'If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you'" (Exodus 15:26). Jesus was sent here not only to save our sins, but by His blood, we ARE HEALED. My mommy sent me an email the other day entitled, "Does God Exist?" It was about a customer who was at the barber shop, who felt as though God wasn't real because in his theory, IF a so-called loving God existed, then disease, poverty, and suffering would be non-existent. The customer didn't want to entertain the discussion, because as any person with a Christian faith knows, the Word warns that the road is narrow - meaning, there is NO promise that being a faithful Christian is an easy task. Anyway, when the customer left the shop, he saw a homeless man who obviously needed a haircut and a beard trim. So, he went back to his barber and told him that barbers didn't exist because if they did, the man outside wouldn't be in need of a haircut. Now quoting the email directly, this is what happened next... Barber: "Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when people do not come to me." Customer: "Exactly! That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world." Now, don't get me wrong, I am sure plenty of people pray to be out of their unfortunate circumstances, but have they considered how or why they are in them in the first place? Did they only turn to God as a result of these unpleasantries? Is there a lesson to be learned? Are they praying as the Spirit leads, that God's will be done, or are they praying with a selfish intent? God answers prayers according to His will, and on His time. So if we have yet to see a desired answer, it may be because it is NOT in line with the will of God, or perhaps we have not willingly received the lesson intended from our current circumstance. Exodus 23:25 says, "You must serve only the Lord your God. If you do, I will bless you with food and water, and I will protect you from illness."

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and strength. We thank you for giving us back the strength and faith in our ability to use our words to produce favorable outcomes. We thank you that we are redeemed, and are able to reverse the negativity we once spoke into existence. Today we deny the right of the enemy to exist in our lives. We thank you for removing the heavy load that we once tried to carry alone. Hallelujah Father, we thank you that you are able. Father God we come to you thanking you for providing those mourning the death of Darius, with comfort and peace, as well as others who may be experiencing the loss of a loved one. We thank you for healing the sick and shut-in, and for reversing all negative health ailments imposed on those in our circle; for recovery that the doctors deny, we thank you for already providing. We thank you for providing those of us in need, with immediate, specific, and complete clear revelations on the individual concerns of our heart; you know our issues and we claim clarity and victory over defeat in the name of Jesus. We thank you for the resourcefulness, effectiveness, and efficiency of FMBS Inc.'s efforts within the local community, and extended communities. We would also like to take this time to thank you for once and for all correcting Tylesha's ability to adhere to a consistent schedule that meets all of her needs, with regard to time, energy, spiritual, physical, and emotional health, as well as her overall well being. We thank you for giving us another opportunity today to strengthen our relationship with you. We thank you for delivering us from past worries, struggles, pain, suffering, poverty, stress, depression, confusion, and loneliness. Father God we thank you for the ability to stand firm, even in the test of trials. We thank you for the discernment to know when the enemy is afoot, the strength to take control through our faith-filled words, for your continued blessings of protection, and we thank you for the peace that passeth all understanding. This is our affirmation of faith, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
