Train Yourself (7/17/12)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor, and glory to God! Tonight's lesson will be short but sweet, because I am super tired and barely able to keep my eyes open. Anyway, remember to REFRAIN from praying (confessing) the problem (unfavorable outcomes), but ALWAYS speak (pray/confess) the answer (your desired result) into existence. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity, God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

"The enemy has programmed the minds of people until instead of resisting him, they have just sort of buddied up with him and begun to talk his language. TRAIN YOURSELF TO SPEAK GOD'S WORD"(Capps, 1976)... Ephesians 5:1 tells us, "Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children." We should imitate God in the same manner to which we mimic our parents or worldly trends. If we imitate our Father in Heaven, we will ultimately begin to walk like Him, talk like Him, and pattern our every move by Him; we will eventually grasp the concept of being "born-again." It is only when we make a conscious effort to live up to our so-called spirituality and become Christ-like, that a rebirth - a change will become evident in our overall character. (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, Oklahoma: Harrison House, 1976.)

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we praise you for your grace and mercy, and for your love and continued protection. Lord we thank you for mending any troubled or broken relationships, rebuilding any weakened bonds within our overall family units, and for providing strength in times of weakness. Lord God we thank you for the capabilities and authority in our words to speak life and favorable outcomes into every situation. We thank you for your spiritual guidance that leads us down a path of righteousness; thanking you that everything that we think, do, and say, may mimic your Son Christ Jesus, and be honorable, and acceptable to you. This is our affirmation of Faith, we present this claim to you, and thank you now for the victory, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

~~ Tylesha ~~
"It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." (Psalm 118:8)
