Ask Yourself (10/23/13)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God! We are halfway through the week yall. Yall ready for the week's end? I'm ready before the week even starts, LOL. Anyway, I have an unspoken prayer request for Dawuan Osborne; please pray for him as the Spirit leads, thank you. Remember that our encouragement tip for this week's better/healthy living for is to JUST DO IT! If you desire to be more fit, if you want to look and feel better, if you want to be worry-free, then DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO to get there! If you have not changed something in your life, then NOW is the time. STOP standing in your own way. Be encouraged!

Reminder: Please join our cause! Fostering Mind, Body, and Soul Incorporated (FMBS Inc.) partnered up with the LA Foodbank in our FIRST food drive which began on October 1, 2013 and will continue through to November 19, 2013; we are soliciting both NON-perishable food items (at least 350 lbs) and/or monetary donations (a goal of $350) on behalf of the LA Foodbank. For every $1 collected, they are able to provide four meals. All food items will be used to restock their empty pantry shelves for current and/or future community service events that they sponsor. You can make monetary donations to myself or directly to their site at http://www.lafoodbank.org/virtual-food-drive/donor-pledge.aspx?member=99342517FBBDCBFB04EDE0CBF1F0A5B0. 50% of all unspecified monetary donations will be issued to FMBS Inc. for the same purpose - providing meals to underprivileged families in our local communities during the holiday seasons and throughout the year. Help us be a blessing in the lives of those in needIf it were you in need, wouldn't you want someone to help you and your family? Please do NOT feel limited to supporting the food drive. NO MATTER how large or small, YOUR contributions andsupport BENEFIT people in need. I encourage you to JOIN our cause. You may simply take this opportunity to make a charitable donation in support of our organization's normal operations - serving underprivileged communities and individuals of ALL ages in and around Southern California, via the PayPal link located on our website at http://www.fmbs-inc-bytye.org/. Or become an active member yourself; our organization will succeed and proper because of your efforts, help us be a blessing to those in need. On behalf of my team of volunteers, I thank you in advance for your contributions, donations, pledges, support, and for SHARING/PROMOTING these events to bring awareness to our efforts.  ~Tylesha Allen, CEO/Founder of FMBS Inc.~

As we continue to work together to spread God’s Gospel, let us also encourage one another to take steps that lead to a healthy overall mind, body, and soul; TRANSFORM your body, mind, and soul by feeding your body healthy nutrition, and being cautious of what things you allow your eyes, ears, and spirits to be exposed to (e.g. media, books, TV, music, etc.). Have you fed your spirit today? CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN, so START YOUR TRANSFORMATION TODAY, because tomorrow is NOT promised. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcomeDo NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. "To IMPROVE is to CHANGE" - Winston Churchill. God Bless!

Lord please clear our minds, and open our eyes and ears so that we may see, hear, and receive your intended message from this fellowship. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Thoughts for Today:
"Yesterday we talked about being honest concerning life-controlling problems. Sometimes it is hard to identify this kind of problem. Below are some questions to ask yourself. Your answers will help identify a dependency or behavior that is pulling you down:

  • Is my behavior practiced in secret?
  • Can it meet the test of openness? Or do I hide it from family and friends?
  • Does this behavior pull me away from my commitment to Christ or those who care about me?
  • Does it express Christian love?
  • Is this behavior used to escape feelings?
  • Does it have a negative effect on myself or others?

Can you identify a relationship or behavior or substance that is trapping you? The only way to escape the trap is to come to a point where you resolve to live a life free of the behavior or whatever is mastering you—and to commit everything you do to the Lord.

Consider this …

If your answers to the questions above point toward the development of a life-controlling problem, please be honest—with yourself, with God, and with a person who cares for you. Ask God for His forgiveness—and His help. He loves you unconditionally. Let Him lead you out of that trap. As you commit your ways to Him and trust Him, He will help you."

Let me reiterate the importance of taking a moment to assess your current circumstances. What activities, people, or self-driven desires stand in your way of progress, prosperity, success, productivity, and you reaching your full potential? If you have been stand-still in your unfavorable situation think about what things you have changed, what things remain the same, and what things clearly require an adjustment. The key is to be completely honest and open to what is revealed by your self-reflection, and more importantly doing what is necessary to achieve favorable results.

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and strength. We realize that sometimes we are being controlled more by our sinful behavior than by our commitment to you and doing what pleases you. Please forgive us. Help us fix our eyes on you and trust you. Help us to do things your way; transform us into a mirror image of Jesus so that His goodness is reflected in all that we do. We ask for forgiveness of everything that we have thought, said, or did, that was not pleasing in your sight. Give us the strength we need to forgive those who have wronged us, the same way you continuously grant forgiveness to us. Also, place upon those we have wronged the same desire, that we too may be forgiven by them. More importantly Father, whatever guilt we've place on self, allow us to release so that we may forgive ourselves. Lord we ask that you will bless Dawaun according to your will; lead him back into your light Father, deliver and restore him completely. Help us to release all negativity stored within. Bless us with a double portion of your Spirit Father. Close every unnecessary door that is open in our lives, and open supernatural doors to peace, prosperity, clarity, contentment, and happiness. Provide each of us with the clear and concise revelations we need in order to overcome the adversary. Help us to see, hear, and feel your presence through every trial and tribulation. Help us to reevaluate our lifestyles, and to rearrange our priorities, placing you at the top of our list. Provide discernment to know the difference between good and bad, right from wrong, and your will vs. our own desires. We thank you for provision, guidance, and protection from Satan’s attacks. By the authority in our words, we reverse all the negativity spoken into existence within our individual lives and the lives of our loved ones and associates. We take back everything the enemy has stolen from us, and bind every evil and malicious plot, plan, and scheme devised against us, in the matchless name of Jesus. Lord we also grant your angels permission to do our bidding on Earth without recourse. This is our affirmation of faith Father God; we submit our petition to you in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Respectfully,
Tylesha "Tye" Allen
