NO! (10/24/13)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God! One more day till Friday. I get a break tomorrow, sorta - I have re-qualification at the gun range for work. Anyway, in addition to procrastination, I did encounter some technical difficulties again, so you will not receive this message until tomorrow. None-the-less, may God reveal to you His intended revelation for you. Today I met a lady in her 40's who is an 11-year breast cancer survivor, suffered a stroke which led to congestive heart failure and difficulty breathing. I found this out because she appeared to be in pain or discomfort while walking, so I asked if she was OK and I received a mouthful, LOL. No biggie, because now I can share her testimony with you. Doctors told her she would be unable to walk, which she couldn't initially, and her rehab therapists treated her like any other stroke victim - they exercised her limbs as though she were paralyzed. However, having a background in medicine herself, she told her caretakers that God was her true doctor and healer and that she would NOT claim paralysis, nor would she accept a long-term handicap. Instead she prayed and fought through her temporary circumstances, and within two weeks, she was walking and talking again. Praise God! I have family members who were crippled by strokes, and her testament is that our Father in Heaven has the last say and she believed and received an alternative diagnosis from God. Despite her slower pace, she was NOT utilizing a walker nor a cane. So remember that just because man says "no," our Father in Heaven can still say "yes," but IT IS UP TO YOU TO BELIEVE, ACCEPT, AND RECEIVE your blessings. Remember that our encouragement tip for this week's better/healthy living is to JUST DO IT! If you desire to be more fit, if you want to look and feel better, if you want to be worry-free, then DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO to get there! If you have not changed something in your life, then NOW is the time. STOP standing in your own way. Be encouraged!

Reminder: Please join our cause! Fostering Mind, Body, and Soul Incorporated (FMBS Inc.) partnered up with the LA Foodbank in our FIRST food drive which began on October 1, 2013 and will continue through to November 19, 2013; we are soliciting both NON-perishable food items (at least 350 lbs) and/or monetary donations (a goal of $350) on behalf of the LA Foodbank. As we continue to work together to spread God’s Gospel, let us also encourage one another to take steps that lead to a healthy overall mind, body, and soul; TRANSFORM your body, mind, and soul by feeding your body healthy nutrition, and being cautious of what things you allow your eyes, ears, and spirits to be exposed to (e.g. media, books, TV, music, etc.). Have you fed your spirit today? CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN, so START YOUR TRANSFORMATION TODAY, because tomorrow is NOT promised. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcomeDo NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. "To IMPROVE is to CHANGE" - Winston Churchill. God Bless!

Lord please clear our minds, and open our eyes and ears so that we may see, hear, and receive your intended message from this fellowship. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Passage - Romans 8:12-13 (NLT):
"Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live."

Thoughts for Today:
"Problem behaviors and dependencies tend to progress in a person's life. We call this progression "The Trap" because it often ensnares its victims before they realize what's happening. Understanding the phases people usually pass through can help you better understand what might be happening to you or a loved one struggling with a problem. The first phase is experimentation: We learn to experiment with the substance or behavior that makes us feel good, and we don't see any serious negative consequences. We learn to trust the substance or behavior to help us escape. How do we enter this experimentation phase? Perhaps we encounter it at a needy time in our life and the behavior makes us feel better. Or friends introduce it to us and we just try it out to go along with the crowd. Or maybe it's something like food or spending or sports that is a part of normal life but reaches a point where it begins to control us. Whatever the reason, it is so important to get our eyes back on God … to say "no" to anything that hinders us from giving Him our best.

Consider this …
Are you at this point in your life? Just toying with a substance or behavior that deep down you know it is wrong, but it excites you and makes you feel good? Perhaps it's drugs … or pornography … or compulsive spending … or … It is so important that you make a decision right now to stop before you fall deeper into the trap. Seem too difficult? It might be impossible to do alone, but if you will turn to Jesus, He's waiting to help you. Don't wait. Talk to Him now!"

Notice that this lesson is generally speaking about anyone and/or anything that has become such a value in your individual life, that it consumes youWhat is your guilty pleasure? We all have something that sometimes consumes us, but the real question is, does that person or thing control you or do you control it? Gambling, substance abuse, sex, shopping, relationships ... all these things have the capability of influencing your actions, reactions, and overall behavior in a negative way. Make a commitment to assess those things and/or people in your life that do NOT enhance you as an individual. If an individual or thing in your life does NOT encourage and influence change and improvement, then CUT THEM LOOSE. If something or someone you value doesn't value you enough to support or promote positivity and progress, then LET THEM GO. News flash, that someone or something holding you back from obtaining and/or maintaing a closer relationship with Christ, holding you back from your salvation, deliverance, and redemption will NOT be the cause of your downfall. Rather the decisions and CHOICES YOU MAKE will either enhance you as an individual or steal your blessings of prosperity. Which will YOU choose?

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and strength. We need your help Lord. We feel ourselves more and more trapped by our problems, but we know it's not a good thing and it has drawn us away from our commitment to you. Please forgive us and help us to say "no" to all those things and/or people who hinder our Christian walk. Transform us into a mirror image of Jesus so that His goodness is reflected in all that we do. We ask for forgiveness of everything that we have thought, said, or did, that was not pleasing in your sight. Give us the strength we need to forgive those who have wronged us, the same way you continuously grant forgiveness to us. Also, place upon those we have wronged the same desire, that we too may be forgiven by them. More importantly Father, whatever guilt we've place on self, allow us to release so that we may forgive ourselves. Help us to release all negativity stored within. Bless us with a double portion of your Spirit Father. Close every unnecessary door that is open in our lives, and open supernatural doors to peace, prosperity, clarity, contentment, and happiness. Provide each of us with the clear and concise revelations we need in order to overcome the adversary. Help us to see, hear, and feel your presence through every trial and tribulation. Help us to reevaluate our lifestyles, and to rearrange our priorities, placing you at the top of our list. Provide discernment to know the difference between good and bad, right from wrong, and your will vs. our own desires. We thank you for provision, guidance, and protection from Satan’s attacks. By the authority in our words, we reverse all the negativity spoken into existence within our individual lives and the lives of our loved ones and associates. We take back everything the enemy has stolen from us, and bind every evil and malicious plot, plan, and scheme devised against us, in the matchless name of Jesus. Lord we also grant your angels permission to do our bidding on Earth without recourse. This is our affirmation of faith Father God; we submit our petition to you in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Respectfully,
