Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God for providing us with another day of endless opportunities. Please remember to bear with me through my technological hiatus... I'll reiterate that it is not in my budget to replace any of my electronic devices at this time. Therefore, production gaps for the SOD will continue until I am able to invest in a more reliable system. Anyway, today has been one of those days of tests... inmates testing my patience at work, computer moving slower than a snail trying to race in quicksand, and just life in general trying to interfere with my mood. Seriously, trying to write the SOD when it takes half an hour to complete a sentence, and then as soon as you reach a peak in production, your computer freezes; just when you thought the coast was clear to continue, your computer decides to "force quit" on its own, and then the process repeats itself... Yes, it's a nightmare but that's just the adversary trying hard to get a reaction out of me... NOT this year! Ironically, I received a text the other day to watch a sermon by Joel Osteen entitled "The God Who Closes Doors" (http://www.itbn.org/index/detail/ec/w4NngwNTp7-H5QCKYOt7qyj_8g6v0_6W#ooid=w4NngwNTp7-H5QCKYOt7qyj_8g6v0_6W), and it happened to fall in line with the very revelations that have been gradually surfacing over the past few weeks. If you get a moment to watch it, please do. I know we have a habit of falling into that moment of encouragement, but we must REMAIN inspired so that we can be on fire for God. After all, why would anyone want to follow in the steps of a poor leader? You may not be a pastor, a teacher, a parent, or an activist, but there is always someone out there looking to you as their mentor, even if you are unaware of it. So GIVE YOUR ALL toward the goal of being transformed by a renewed mind founded by God's word, because it is ONLY then that you will ACHIEVE TRUE SUCCESS. The same can be said about your fitness level... Are you guilty of making excuses to workout because you hate crowded gyms, or can't afford a gym membership? Well, the attached charts provide a month worth of exercises that target your abs and focus on cardio, and can be completed in the comfort of your own home. You know when God is working when every lesson you learn at a given time ties into the next. Between my loved ones, church, Joel Osteen, and the above devotional, all within weeks of each other, God has called to my mind the act of ACCEPTING HIS WILL and LETTING GO of the past. If everything happens for a reason, and "all things work together for good to those who love God" (Romans 8:28), then WHY are we still fixated with trying to do things our own way? We CANNOT continue to be content with the idea that we can put off our efforts until the next day, because who's to say that we will even live that long? Therefore, if you have been "trying" for years to get your life on a "straight and narrow path" yet, have failed time and time again, STOP EVERY approach you are accustomed to. TRASH EVERY "New Year's resolution," and take a knee; THANK GOD RIGHT NOW for turning your life around, then BE STILL and watch how HE TRANSFORMS you into the person HE has called you to be.
Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and strength. We thank you for the strength we need to forgive those who have wronged us, the same way you continuously grant us forgiveness, and for placing upon those we have wronged the same desire, that we too may be forgiven by them. More so Father, we thank you for removing the guilt we once placed on self, and for removing every thought that has held us captive in our own minds. We thank you for our new 180 degree turn-around which transforms our image into one that mirrors Jesus, so that His goodness is reflected in all that we do. Thanks for blessing us with a double portion of your Spirit, and for closing every unnecessary door that is open in our lives. Thanks for opening supernatural doors in our lives that lead to peace, prosperity, clarity, contentment, and happiness. We thank you for providing each of us with the clear and concise revelations we need in order to overcome the adversary. Thanks for helping us to see, hear, and feel your presence through every trial and tribulation, and for the courage to rearrange our priorities, placing you at the top of our list. We thank you for discernment to know the difference between good and bad, right from wrong, and your will vs. our own desires. Thanks for provision, guidance, and protection from Satan’s attacks. By the authority in our words, we reverse all the negativity spoken into existence within our individual lives and the lives of our loved ones and associates. We take back everything the enemy has stolen from us, and bind every evil and malicious plot, plan, and scheme devised against us, in the matchless name of Jesus. Lord we also grant your angels permission to do our bidding on Earth without recourse.
