Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God! We're one day closer to the weekend, so hang in there. A co-worker of mine (Ms. Hawkins) asked for prayer on behalf of her daughter the other day. I ask that we pray for her daughter as the Spirit leads. I would list her name but I do not want to brutally misspell it, so again, I ask that you pray as the Spirit leads. So, what did you feed your body and spirit today? Today I incorporated fruit, salad, and protein for lunch. For my spirit, I listened to Gospel music on XM radio, to and from work. Remember yall, it only take a small act of replacing one bad habit with a positive one ... small steps. If you want a better body, choose healthier snacks and food choices, and establish portion control. Additionally, adopt a 30-45 minute workout routine at least 3 days a week, or even brisk walking for 20 minutes each day. If you desire a closer walk with God, then open the Word and spend time with Him without ceasing. Meaning, talk to God when you're driving, when you're at work, when you're at home. God's hotline is open 24 hours a day. Call Him! For all yall single individuals, here's some food for thought ... check out this link http://mtrubidouxsda.org/media/why-opposites-attract-the-new-rules-for-love-sex-dating/the-myth-of-finding-the-right-one and SHARE it with others. Be encouraged!
REMINDER: I'm still seeking volunteers to help build-up my non-profit organization; join my team of volunteers as we work to provide sustenance to those in need (please refer to http://www.fmbs-inc-bytye.org for more information about the organization). If you or someone you know would like to join my team of volunteers, please contact me so that I may set-up an orientation to get you started with your volunteer membership. Our next meeting will be held on September 15th at 3:00 PM in Los Angeles (location will be disclosed upon your RSVP). Additionally, as a group we will be participating in the Brain Tumor Society’s 2nd annual 5k walk/run. FMBS Inc. will be walking/running in honor of my dear friend, Jennifer Robinson, a brain tumor survivor. I would love for you to participate in the walk with us. Contact me with regard to your interest in this event, or simply “register” to “join a team” under my name (Tylesha Allen) or my company’s name (FMBS Inc.) for Team Jenn. If you would rather submit a monetary donation, you are more than welcome to do that as well. Either way, just copy and paste one of these two URL addresses http://www.braintumorcommunity.org/goto/Team_Jenn_R orhttp://www.braintumorcommunity.org/goto/fmbs_4_Team_Jenn into your Internet browser to read Jennifer’s story, to join Team Jenn, or to make a pledge that will help us reach our fund-raising goal; we would like to raise $1,000 for the cause. So far, we've only reached the $300 mark, so please remember tospread the word about this event. We thank you in advance for SHARING these links with others. Many people have suffered as a result of brain tumors and brain cancers; families and friends of those who fall victim to brain tumors and/or brain cancer are victims themselves. Our efforts will bring researchers that much closer to better treatment, a cure, and will ultimately help to better educate society.
As we continue to work together to spread God’s Gospel, let us also encourage one another to take steps that lead to a healthy overall mind, body, and soul; TRANSFORM your body, mind, and soul by feeding your body healthy nutrition, and being cautious of what things you allow your eyes, ears, and spirits to be exposed to (e.g. media, books, TV, music, etc.). Have you fed your spirit today? CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN, so START YOUR TRANSFORMATION TODAY, because tomorrow is NOT promised. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!
Lord please clear our minds, and open our eyes and ears so that we may see, hear, and receive your intended message from this fellowship. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
Passage - Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT):
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in ALL you do, and He will show you which path to take."

Thoughts for Today:
"This week so far we have considered taking inventory of our relationships with God and with our family. Another important area to audit is our relationships with friends. The Bible has much to say about being a good friend, choosing our friends wisely, and the value of friendship. Here are some suggested questions again, add your own to the list:
- Do I have any friends who help keep me accountable to making right choices?
- Can my friends see Jesus in me?
- Am I self-centered in my relationships, or do I really care about being a good friend?
- Do I take offense too easily?
- Am I forgiving when a friend hurts me?
- Do I have any friends who are drawing me away from my walk with God?
Ask God to help you evaluate this area of your life honestly, and to accept responsibility for any problems you discover.
Consider this ...
God loves you and wants only the best for you. He has a good plan for your life, but you can block that plan by making poor choices. Be encouraged to do things God's way. He loves you and He will guide you and help you through every step of your journey."

Let's focus on the passage for a moment. Proverbs 3 advises us to SEEK God's will in ALL that we do, and HE WILL reveal to us our right path. Now if we connect the passage to the thoughts for today, we see that we are capable of blocking said pathway. I think one problem we face is that God reveals answers to our prayers on His time and according to His will. We are so self-absorbed and influenced by the flesh, that our human nature is too impatient to WAIT for God to reveal His plan. Or, perhaps our blessings aren't quite wrapped up the way we would like them to be. If you take a look at the link I suggested, Pastor Kelly touches on that a little. Particularly the focus in his message targets singles and dating. He suggests that the best person to date is a friend, because friends share common interests and a bond that can stand the test of time, even after a failed partnership. Now I know some of you may have a raised eyebrow with that statement, but really think about the "friends" you claim of the opposite sex. How many of them are true friends? When the Pastor suggested dating a friend, it is the true friend he was referencing. True friendship does NOT violate the friendship code and immediately dip into intimacy. In fact, if we were to follow the dating game according to the Word of God, we would avoid getting ourselves involved physically all together. Instead, we would date and "court" someone while getting to know one another on a deeper level, to determine whether or not he or she is the "right" one for us. Anyway, Pastor Kelly gave the example of how we tend to place people in the "friend" category yet not think twice about a deeper relationship, because he or she doesn't fall into the height or measurements we've always desired. With that said, perhaps the blessing you requested was already sent to you on a smaller scale and you simply overlooked it. Or, maybe the blessing is still in the works, but God is still preparing you to receive it. After all, what is the point of providing a blessing that you are not capable to handle? For instance, Pastor Kelly discussed how the right one may be nearby yet his or her identity is being protected by God; you may still have some spiritual growth to do, while he or she has already reached their full potential. Remember that just as you pray, so is your designated mate praying, and if he or she is on the right path but you are still trying to walk on both sides of the fence, what sense would it make for God to burden your mate with someone who still requires pruning? In the same sense, evaluate your friendships; asses the quality of your friendships, the nature of your friendships, the commitment level of your friendships, and more importantly figure out what assets you bring to the friendships. Identify any questionable bonds, terminate unnecessary connections, and work on strengthening valued associations.
Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and strength. We ask for forgiveness of everything that we have thought, said, or did, that was not pleasing in your sight. Give us the strength we need to forgive those who have wronged us, the same way you continuously grant forgiveness to us. Also, place upon those we may have wronged, the same desire, that we too may be forgiven by them. More importantly Father, whatever guilt we've place on self, allow us to release so that we may forgive ourselves. Help us to be good friends, and build our character so that people can see Jesus in us. Help us to listen for your voice and to trust your guidance in the area of friendship and in every area of our lives. Help us to release all negativity stored within. Bless us with a double portion of your Spirit Father. Close every unnecessary door that is open in our lives, and open supernatural doors to peace, prosperity, clarity, contentment, and happiness. Provide each of us with clear and concise revelations that we need in order to overcome the adversary. Help us to see, hear, and feel your presence through every trial and tribulation. Help us to reevaluate our lifestyles, and to rearrange our priorities, placing you at the top of our list. Provide discernment to know the difference between good and bad, right from wrong, and your will vs. our own desires. We thank you for provision, guidance, and protection from Satan’s attacks. By the authority in our words, we reverse all the negativity spoken into existence within our individual lives and the lives of our loved ones and associates. We take back everything the enemy has stolen from us, and bind every evil and malicious plot, plan, and scheme devised against us, in the matchless name of Jesus. Lord we also grant your angels permission to do our bidding on Earth without recourse. Transform us into an image that mirrors Jesus, so that His goodness is reflected in all that we do. This is our affirmation of faith Father God; we submit our petition to you in the name of Jesus, Amen!
Respectfully,
Tylesha "Tye" Allen
