A time of possibilities (11/19/13)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God! Hey yall, please always keep my in prayer ... sometimes I don't feel like sending encouraging messages because sometimes I feel like I need my own encouragement. It's like one thing after another - health issues, drama in both my professional and personal life, financial issues, and most problematic are my mental, emotional, and spiritual struggles. Considering my age and the facade I put on for the public, you would think it was all unreal. I have to motivate self by reminding myself that things could be worse, yet sometimes that's just not enough, hence my prayer request. On another note, Thanksgiving is next week, I still have NOT received any recommendations for needy families. My organization is looking for 2-4 families to supply all food items needed to prepare a complete meal to feed a family of four this holiday; we need YOU to provide us with the deserving family's names and contact information ASAP. Help FMBS Inc. make a difference this holiday season. Now on to our healthy living tip ... "Watch Your Carbs: Trying to reduce belly fat? Pay attention to your carbohydrate intake and avoid artificial sweeteners. Sugary snacks and other refined carbs spike blood sugar and cause pounds to settle in your midsection. Choose whole grains, beans, and vegetables instead" (50 Simple Health Tips, http://www.wholeliving.com). Don't forget to DRINK MORE WATER. "To IMPROVE is to CHANGE" (Winston Churchill).  Be encouraged!

Reminder: LAST CHANCE to join our cause! FMBS Inc.'s first food drive in conjunction with the LA Foodbank ends TODAY; if you have NON-perishable food items and/or monetary donations, they need to be delivered or picked up by TONIGHT. For every $1 collected, the LA Foodbank is able to provide four meals. All food items collected will be used to restock their empty pantry shelves for current and/or future community service events that they sponsor. You can make monetary donations to myself or directly to their site at http://www.lafoodbank.org/virtual-food-drive/donor-pledge.aspx?member=99342517FBBDCBFB04EDE0CBF1F0A5B0. 50% of all unspecified monetary donations will be issued to FMBS Inc. for the same purpose - providing meals to underprivileged families in our local communities during the holiday seasons and throughout the year. Help us be a blessing in the lives of those in needIf it were you in need, wouldn't you want someone to help you and your family?

Please do NOT feel limited to supporting only the food drive. We are also PRE-selling See's Candies until Christmas day to raise funds for our normal operations. NO MATTER how large or small, YOUR contributions and support BENEFIT people in need. I encourage you to JOIN our cause. You have the option of taking this opportunity to make a charitable donation in support of our organization's normal operations - serving underprivileged communities and individuals of ALL ages in and around Southern California, via the PayPal link located on our website at http://www.fmbs-inc-bytye.org/. Or become an active member yourself; our organization will succeed and proper because of your efforts, help us be a blessing to those in need. On behalf of my team of volunteers, I thank you in advance for your contributions, donations, pledges, support, and for SHARING/PROMOTING these events to bring awareness to our efforts.  ~Tylesha "Tye" Allen, CEO/Founder of FMBS Inc.~

As we continue to work together to spread God’s Gospel, let us also encourage one another to take steps that lead to a healthy overall mind, body, and soul; TRANSFORM your body, mind, and soul by feeding your body healthy nutrition, and being cautious of what things you allow your eyes, ears, and spirits to be exposed to (e.g. media, books, TV, music, etc.). Have you fed your spirit today? CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN, so START YOUR TRANSFORMATION TODAY, because tomorrow is NOT promised. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcomeDo NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!

Lord please clear our minds, and open our eyes and ears so that we may see, hear, and receive your intended message from this fellowship. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Passage - Psalm 71:18 (NLT):
"Now that I am old and gray, do not abandon me, O God. Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me."

Thoughts for Today:
"Are you caring for your aging parents? If so, you are seeing what your aging process could be like. Are those thoughts depressing - or even frightening? If you are not already providing care or support for a family member or friend, you probably will at some time during your life. The reality is that people are living longer. As a result of this longevity, people often lose the ability or strength to care for their own needs -… and need someone to care for them. As we care for an aging loved one, our thoughts naturally turn to our own future. God's Word teaches us to be realistic   about life and death and the impact the aging process has on all of us. Studying these teachings can help us better understand the process taking place in our parents and prepare us for our own aging.

Consider this ...
Today's scripture makes it clear that a person is never too old to be used of God. Encourage your parents that God still wants to use them. They can pray for the family . . . send cards of encouragement to others . . . share about their life experiences . . . and encourage others in the Lord. Explore the possibilities together!"

I cannot relate 100% to this lesson, but I will say that by observing the aging process in my family, I do grow concerned about my future. The fact that at such a young age I have many health issues that are pretty minor when controlled, but cause extreme pain and discomfort when they aren't, makes me wonder how much more disabling these complications will become with age? Additionally, certain ailments such as dementia, Alzheimer's, and aneurysms have claimed the lives of my loves ones both young and old; I wonder what is my life expectancy, yet at the same time am reminded that my days are not promised merely because of genetics. However, I have also observed that aged individuals for a lack of better words - feel a bit displaced ... They yearn to be called upon to prepare a meal, provide some advice, have more frequent conversations with their children - they simply want to know that they still serve a purpose in someone's life; parents want to know that their children are not too old to call on them. I learned that people's bodies deteriorate faster when they are not active; the less you do, the more your body succumbs to aging or develops debilitating ailments - the mind has a slower process, your posture diminishes, your strength and mobility decrease, and your interest in activity fades. However, the more active you are the more likely you are to maintain your agility. Don't be afraid to invite aging loved ones out for a game of bowling, a walk around the block, to play a game of chess or checkers, or to engage in an intellectual conversation; as you motivate yourself, your children, and your peers to live better and healthier lifestyles, do NOT forget to encourage aging loved ones to jump on the bandwagon.

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and strength. Give us the strength we need to forgive those who have wronged us, the same way you continuously grant forgiveness to us. Also, place upon those we have wronged the same desire, that we too may be forgiven by them. More importantly Father, whatever guilt we've place on self and whatever thoughts that hold us captive in our own minds, help us to release so that we may forgive ourselves. Transform us into a mirror image of Jesus so that His goodness is reflected in all that we do. Help us to remain motivated and encouraged to live healthier lives, and to encourage those around us especially the aging individuals to do the same. Bless us with a double portion of your Spirit Father. Close every unnecessary door that is open in our lives, and open supernatural doors to peace, prosperity, clarity, contentment, and happiness. Provide each of us with the clear and concise revelations we need in order to overcome the adversary. Help us to see, hear, and feel your presence through every trial and tribulation. Help us to reevaluate our lifestyles, and to rearrange our priorities, placing you at the top of our list. Provide discernment to know the difference between good and bad, right from wrong, and your will vs. our own desires. We thank you for provision, guidance, and protection from Satan’s attacks. By the authority in our words, we reverse all the negativity spoken into existence within our individual lives and the lives of our loved ones and associates. We take back everything the enemy has stolen from us, and bind every evil and malicious plot, plan, and scheme devised against us, in the matchless name of Jesus. Lord we also grant your angels permission to do our bidding on Earth without recourse. This is our affirmation of faith Father God; we submit our petition to you in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Respectfully,
Tylesha "Tye" Allen
