Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God! First of all I must be honest with yall ... yesterday when I got home, I opened some mail from the VA, which happened to bear some upsetting news. The letter said that they over paid me for tuition fees close to $3,000 and that I owe them. With everything going on in my life, that certainly was NOT something I wanted to hear, and unfortunately I allowed it to steal my joy. I thought to myself 'Lord I asked you to show up and show out, NOT to add insult to injury.' But that was merely the adversary basking in victory, so today I ask my Lord for forgiveness as I go on to generate this make-up SOD for the one I failed to distribute yesterday. On a positive note, I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to the Chairman of my non-profit organization, Ekundayo "Dayo" Akinloye, for the outstanding job she did generating our first official newsletter yesterday; the newsletter is attached. Anyway, as we prepare for the holiday season, let us remember that there are people out there that have a place to live, yet still struggle in poverty. JOIN OUR CAUSE and help my organization (FMBS Inc.) bless some needy families (2-4) with the necessary food items to prepare a COMPLETE meal for a family of four; if you or someone you know is without this season, please forward me the contact info ASAP so that we may consider the suggested families as our deserving recipients for our annual Thanksgiving meal box, to be distributed the weekend before Thanksgiving. FMBS Inc. has also begun a PRE-SALE of See's Candies to raise funds for our normal operations; please see the attached form to view the items for sale, then get with me ASAP if you would like to place an order for one or more of the items listed. Feel free to share our fundraiser and newsletter with others; all funds raised helps my organization give back to the community through service to underprivileged individuals and families, and our newsletter helps to keep the public informed about our operations. Thanks in advance. Our healthy living tip for today is to "Eat Bananas: People whose diets are rich in potassium may be less prone to high blood pressure. Besides reducing sodium and taking other heart-healthy steps, eat potassium-packed picks such as bananas, cantaloupe, and oranges." (50 Simple Health Tips, http://www.wholeliving.com). Remember that the "Prayer of the Day" does slightly change to include the topics and/or prayer requests relative to each lesson. I choose to reuse the bulk of its contents due to a suggestion from a loved one who pointed out the importance of covering so many avenues in one prayer. Please do NOT allow the length of these lessons or the "Prayer of the Day" discourage you, ALLOW this to be another opportunity for you to open the communication lines between you and the Lord. Be encouraged!
Reminder: Please join our cause! Our FIRST food drive which began on October 1, 2013 will soon come to an end on NOVEMBER 19th; we are still soliciting both NON-perishable food items (at least 350 lbs) and/or monetary donations (a goal of $350) on behalf of the LA Foodbank. For every $1 collected, they are able to provide four meals. All food items will be used to restock their empty pantry shelves for current and/or future community service events that they sponsor. You can make monetary donations to myself or directly to their site at http://www.lafoodbank.org/virtual-food-drive/donor-pledge.aspx?member=99342517FBBDCBFB04EDE0CBF1F0A5B0. 50% of all unspecified monetary donations will be issued to FMBS Inc. for the same purpose - providing meals to underprivileged families in our local communities during the holiday seasons and throughout the year. Help us be a blessing in the lives of those in need. If it were you in need, wouldn't you want someone to help you and your family? Please do NOT feel limited to supporting the food drive. NO MATTER how large or small, YOUR contributions and support BENEFIT people in need. I encourage you to JOIN our cause. You may simply take this opportunity to make a charitable donation in support of our organization's normal operations - serving underprivileged communities and individuals of ALL ages in and around Southern California, via the PayPal link located on our website at http://www.fmbs-inc-bytye.org/. Or become an active member yourself; our organization will succeed and proper because of your efforts, help us be a blessing to those in need. On behalf of my team of volunteers, I thank you in advance for your contributions, donations, pledges, support, and for SHARING/PROMOTING these events to bring awareness to our efforts. ~Tylesha "Tye" Allen, CEO/Founder of FMBS Inc.~
As we continue to work together to spread God’s Gospel, let us also encourage one another to take steps that lead to a healthy overall mind, body, and soul; TRANSFORM your body, mind, and soul by feeding your body healthy nutrition, and being cautious of what things you allow your eyes, ears, and spirits to be exposed to (e.g. media, books, TV, music, etc.). Have you fed your spirit today? CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN, so START YOUR TRANSFORMATION TODAY, because tomorrow is NOT promised. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. "To IMPROVE is to CHANGE" - Winston Churchill. God Bless!
Lord please clear our minds, and open our eyes and ears so that we may see, hear, and receive your intended message from this fellowship. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
Passage - Hebrews 12:15 (NLT):
"Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many."
***Unless otherwise indicated, all scripture quotations are taken from the New Living Translation (NLT) of the Bible***
Thoughts for Today:
"Prolonged unforgiveness can breed bitterness. When facing major disappointments in life, most people make one of two choices: They turn to God to heal their distress and with His help forgive the one who wronged them. Or they turn away from God and become bitter. Sometimes people become bitter toward God for not repairing or healing a situation. More often they pour anger out on the person who caused the hurt and pain. Widowed singles may deal with anger at God for allowing their spouse to die, but this temporary anger does not have to turn to bitterness. Only anger that is fed, nurtured, and encouraged will turn into the soul-killing and body-killing emotion of bitterness. Divorced singles often have to deal with bitter feelings toward God for allowing their marriage to fail. However, they more often reserve their intense bitterness for their ex-spouse. Single Christians who have never married yet deeply desire a mate may feel bitterness about their single status or even at God for not answering their prayer.
Consider this …
God's antidote for the poison of bitterness is forgiveness. Forgiveness is never easy, and the worse the hurt involved, the more difficult it is. However, God tells us to forgive, so we would do well to begin to move from bitterness toward forgiveness, even if we stumble in the beginning. Refusing to forgive the one who has hurt us causes us more difficulty than it does the person with whom we are angry. Medical science has identified several physical and many emotional illnesses that seem to have roots in our unwillingness to forgive. Bitterness can adversely affect relationships with friends and family. And most of all, it hinders our relationship with God. We have a choice. We can choose forgiveness over bitterness. Each of us is responsible for our own attitude toward the ones who have hurt us. If we choose forgiveness, God will help us forgive . . . and move on."

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and strength. Give us the strength we need to forgive those who have wronged us, the same way you continuously grant forgiveness to us. Also, place upon those we have wronged the same desire, that we too may be forgiven by them. More importantly Father, whatever guilt we've place on self, allow us to release so that we may forgive ourselves. Lord help us to completely release any bitterness we have stored within. Transform us into a mirror image of Jesus so that His goodness is reflected in all that we do. Bless us with a double portion of your Spirit Father. Close every unnecessary door that is open in our lives, and open supernatural doors to peace, prosperity, clarity, contentment, and happiness. Provide each of us with the clear and concise revelations we need in order to overcome the adversary. Help us to see, hear, and feel your presence through every trial and tribulation. Help us to reevaluate our lifestyles, and to rearrange our priorities, placing you at the top of our list. Provide discernment to know the difference between good and bad, right from wrong, and your will vs. our own desires. We thank you for provision, guidance, and protection from Satan’s attacks. By the authority in our words, we reverse all the negativity spoken into existence within our individual lives and the lives of our loved ones and associates. We take back everything the enemy has stolen from us, and bind every evil and malicious plot, plan, and scheme devised against us, in the matchless name of Jesus. Lord we also grant your angels permission to do our bidding on Earth without recourse. This is our affirmation of faith Father God; we submit our petition to you in the name of Jesus, Amen!
Respectfully,
Tylesha "Tye" Allen
