Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God! The other day I shared with yall my personal struggles and discouragements ... despite mentioning that I have to motivate self by reminding myself that things could be worse, it is important for yall to know that I keep on keeping on ... I am FAR from a saint, but I am convicted by what the Spirit compels me to do. God can speak through ANYONE! Yes, I may miss sending out the SOD, may even miss church, but I continue to pray, recite my affirmations of faith, and feed my Spirit. I have been in a rut before, but all that did was reveal to me that God only works in our lives when we have faith in His abilities; we can bind God's authority when we place our trust in man or self, rather than having confidence that Christ will see us through our circumstance. It is OK to take a moment to reflect, to reassess, and to take a breather. However, don't allow your break to be too long, because those moments make us weak and vulnerable to the adversary's attacks. On another note, I'm happy to report that my organization was able to identify two families for our annual Thanksgiving meal box; if you know another needy family you still have a day or two to make a recommendation so that FMBS Inc. may consider them as one of the deserving families this Thanksgiving, just get me their info ASAP. Now on to our healthy living tip ... "5. Holiday Game Plan: No Weight Gain: Don't arrive starving. Eat something small and healthy ... before the big meal. Exercise every day. This means big holidays, too. Eat smaller portions of high-calorie dishes. Enjoy, but don't pig out. Save calories for the foods you love. Don't eat something just because it's there. THANK YOU to ALL those who joined our cause! FMBS Inc. was able to collect over $40 in monetary donations and over 200 lbs in food items for our first food drive in conjunction with the LA Foodbank. Unfortunately, we did not meet our goal of $350 and/or 350 lbs of food items. However, ALL of YOUR contributions are invaluable to our organizations' efforts to provide sustenance to underprivileged individuals and families in our local communities throughout the year. Thoughts for Today:
"Human life has a natural cycle that has existed since the time of Adam and Eve. It is wise to recognize the seasons of life - —including aging and death - and to gracefully accept their effect on us. During our lives, circumstances are always changing. When these changes are beyond our control, we must graciously accept what comes our way. Whether the season is pleasant or painful, it is good to remember that none of these seasons is permanent. The true person we are, the inner person, can grow stronger even while our physical person is wasting away. The time we spend in physical discomfort in these bodies is nothing compared to the eternity we will spend in perfect wholeness in God's presence.
Consider this ...
Be encouraged by these words of the apostle Paul: 'Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. In a nutshell, this passage reminds us to "walk by faith and NOT by sight." EVERYTHING in this world is TEMPORARY - our flesh, our material belongings, our lives, and even death. Nothing becomes "eternal" until after Judgement Day. Thus, we must adjust and adapt to change without compromising our spiritual growth; continue to feed your spirit by reading the Word, through your ups and even your downs, so that it becomes absorbed in your mind. Apply the principles you have developed from the Word of God to your daily lifestyles so that at any given moment, you are PREPARED for Christ's return.
Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and strength. Give us the strength we need to forgive those who have wronged us, the same way you continuously grant forgiveness to us. Also, place upon those we have wronged the same desire, that we too may be forgiven by them. More importantly Father, whatever guilt we've place on self and whatever thoughts that hold us captive in our own minds, help us to release so that we may forgive ourselves. Lord increase our eternal perspective, and help us to trust you as you guide us through every season of life. Transform us into a mirror image of Jesus so that His goodness is reflected in all that we do. Bless us with a double portion of your Spirit Father. Close every unnecessary door that is open in our lives, and open supernatural doors to peace, prosperity, clarity, contentment, and happiness. Provide each of us with the clear and concise revelations we need in order to overcome the adversary. Help us to see, hear, and feel your presence through every trial and tribulation. Help us to reevaluate our lifestyles, and to rearrange our priorities, placing you at the top of our list. Provide discernment to know the difference between good and bad, right from wrong, and your will vs. our own desires. We thank you for provision, guidance, and protection from Satan’s attacks. By the authority in our words, we reverse all the negativity spoken into existence within our individual lives and the lives of our loved ones and associates. We take back everything the enemy has stolen from us, and bind every evil and malicious plot, plan, and scheme devised against us, in the matchless name of Jesus.
