My way or His? (11/14/13)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God! Sup yall? As we prepare for the holiday season, let us remember that there are people out there that have a place to live, yet still struggle in poverty. JOIN OUR CAUSE and help my organization (FMBS Inc.) bless some needy families (2-4) with the necessary food items to prepare a COMPLETE meal for a family of four; if you or someone you know is without this season, please forward me the contact info ASAP so that we may consider the suggested families as our deserving recipients for our annual Thanksgiving meal box, to be distributed the weekend before Thanksgiving. Also, I forgot to mention yesterday that FMBS Inc. has also begun a PRE-SALE of See's Candies to raise funds for our normal operations. Please see the attached form to view the items for sale and get with me ASAP if you would like to place an order for one or more of the items listed. Feel free to share our fundraiser with others; all funds raised helps my organization give back to the community through service to underprivileged individuals and families. Thanks in advance. Our healthy living tip for today is to "Get a Good Pair of Sneakers: Is your energy lagging? Though it may be the last thing you feel like doing when you're tired, EXERCISE -- even a brisk walk -- can be more effective than a nap or cup of coffee at fighting fatigue" (50 Simple Health Tips, http://www.wholeliving.com). Remember that the "Prayer of the Day" does slightly change to include the topics and/or prayer requests relative to each lesson. I choose to reuse the bulk of its contents due to a suggestion from a loved one who pointed out the importance of covering so many avenues in one prayer. Please do NOT allow the length of these lessons or the "Prayer of the Day" discourage you, ALLOW this to be another opportunity for you to open the communication lines between you and the Lord. Be encouraged!

Reminder: Please join our cause! Our FIRST food drive which began on October 1, 2013 will soon come to an end on NOVEMBER 19th; we are still soliciting both NON-perishable food items (at least 350 lbs) and/or monetary donations (a goal of $350) on behalf of the LA Foodbank. For every $1 collected, they are able to provide four meals. All food items will be used to restock their empty pantry shelves for current and/or future community service events that they sponsor. You can make monetary donations to myself or directly to their site at http://www.lafoodbank.org/virtual-food-drive/donor-pledge.aspx?member=99342517FBBDCBFB04EDE0CBF1F0A5B0. 50% of all unspecified monetary donations will be issued to FMBS Inc. for the same purpose - providing meals to underprivileged families in our local communities during the holiday seasons and throughout the year. Help us be a blessing in the lives of those in needIf it were you in need, wouldn't you want someone to help you and your family? Please do NOT feel limited to supporting the food drive. NO MATTER how large or small, YOUR contributions and support BENEFIT people in need. I encourage you to JOIN our cause. You may simply take this opportunity to make a charitable donation in support of our organization's normal operations - serving underprivileged communities and individuals of ALL ages in and around Southern California, via the PayPal link located on our website at http://www.fmbs-inc-bytye.org/. Or become an active member yourself; our organization will succeed and proper because of your efforts, help us be a blessing to those in need. On behalf of my team of volunteers, I thank you in advance for your contributions, donations, pledges, support, and for SHARING/PROMOTING these events to bring awareness to our efforts.  ~Tylesha "Tye" Allen, CEO/Founder of FMBS Inc.~

As we continue to work together to spread God’s Gospel, let us also encourage one another to take steps that lead to a healthy overall mind, body, and soul; TRANSFORM your body, mind, and soul by feeding your body healthy nutrition, and being cautious of what things you allow your eyes, ears, and spirits to be exposed to (e.g. media, books, TV, music, etc.). Have you fed your spirit today? CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN, so START YOUR TRANSFORMATION TODAY, because tomorrow is NOT promised. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcomeDo NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. "To IMPROVE is to CHANGE" - Winston Churchill. God Bless!

Lord please clear our minds, and open our eyes and ears so that we may see, hear, and receive your intended message from this fellowship. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Passage - Romans 12:2 (NLT):
"Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."

Thoughts for Today:
"... Today's culture proclaims that there is no absolute right and wrong, that everything is relative. Television programs say it. Journalists say it. Movies say it. Books say it. But the Bible says something different. The Bible says that God in His love has given us boundaries for our protection and well-being. It is up to each of us—every day—to decide what we will do about the boundaries. It comes down to a matter of will. Am I going to seek God's will for my life and obey him? Or am I going to go my own way, do my own thing, no matter what God says? As we follow Jesus, we begin to learn that He has a good plan for our lives. Our lives won't be perfect. We'll still have struggles and problems, disappointment and heartache, but God will be with us every moment, encouraging us, strengthening us, comforting us and helping us. He will give us joy and peace. We will learn that His way is always the best way.

Consider this …
How about you? Are you still doing your own thing and ignoring God's way? Or maybe you are submitted to Him for the most part, but there are still one or two areas of your life you are holding on to stubbornly, insisting on doing things your way even though you know you are not pleasing God. Remember that God loves you more than you can imagine. And He has a great plan for your life. Choose Jesus and His way—in every area of your life. You will learn that His way is always the best way."

I'm sure this is a lesson similar to those we've previously covered, but repetition is the key to memorizing, and practice is pivotal to getting it right. You will NEVER fill a void with things of this world - NO human, NO thing, NO amount of money, NO material item, and NO decision made in your own strength without guidance from God will ever render contentment. Sure, you're bound to reach a few TEMPORARY moments of pleasure and happiness, but when that dissolves where or who do you turn to? God, right? So WHY continue to do things your way when you can do things GOD's way from the jump and watch things gradually fall into a place that leads to eternal peace, joy, and contentment? There really shouldn't be a question in your mind on whose pathway you should take - CHOOSE GOD!

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and strength. Give us the strength we need to forgive those who have wronged us, the same way you continuously grant forgiveness to us. Also, place upon those we have wronged the same desire, that we too may be forgiven by them. More importantly Father, whatever guilt we've place on self, allow us to release so that we may forgive ourselves. Father, we thank you for your patience. We know that we've been hanging on to some areas of our lives, insisting on doing things our way instead of yours. But that has yet to work out in our favor. We know that your way really is the best way, so help us to submit to your way completely. Transform us into a mirror image of Jesus so that His goodness is reflected in all that we do. Bless us with a double portion of your Spirit Father. Close every unnecessary door that is open in our lives, and open supernatural doors to peace, prosperity, clarity, contentment, and happiness. Provide each of us with the clear and concise revelations we need in order to overcome the adversary. Help us to see, hear, and feel your presence through every trial and tribulation. Help us to reevaluate our lifestyles, and to rearrange our priorities, placing you at the top of our list. Provide discernment to know the difference between good and bad, right from wrong, and your will vs. our own desires. We thank you for provision, guidance, and protection from Satan’s attacks. By the authority in our words, we reverse all the negativity spoken into existence within our individual lives and the lives of our loved ones and associates. We take back everything the enemy has stolen from us, and bind every evil and malicious plot, plan, and scheme devised against us, in the matchless name of Jesus. Lord we also grant your angels permission to do our bidding on Earth without recourse. This is our affirmation of faith Father God; we submit our petition to you in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Respectfully,
Tylesha "Tye" Allen
