Emotional Losses (11/13/13)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God! Hey yall, I'm still running into frustrating technical difficulties; as a heads-up be mindful that bouts of extended absences can be attributed to either my technological complications or my health. Anyway, every October I support breast cancer awareness by wearing my pink ribbon scrubs and/or a pink ribbon on my clothing, I participate in fundraising events, and/or save the pink lids of yogurt and mail them off to help raise money for the cause. I rarely do anything to support mens health, probably since I'm not a man. However, that does NOT mean that WE cannot promote awareness for mens health issues. Even though this message is intended for EVERYONE, I especially want to challenge ALL the MEN reading this right now to visit this link: http://www.wcpo.com/news/now-share-this/movember-brings-out-moustaches-and-more-for-mens-health-awareness or, to simply Google "Movember movement" to find out what you can do to help bring awareness to mens health issues. On another note, next weekend my organization plans to bless some needy families (2-4) with the necessary food items to prepare a COMPLETE meal for a family of four; if you or someone you know is without this season, please forward me the contact info ASAP so that we may consider the suggested families as our deserving recipients for our annual Thanksgiving meal box. Thanks in advance. Oh and FYI ... the "Prayer of the Day" does slightly change to include the topics and/or prayer requests relative to each lesson. However, I choose to maintain the bulk of it as a suggestion from a loved one who pointed out the importance of covering so many avenues in one prayer. If you fail to make time for God on a daily, allow the "Prayer of the Day" to open the communication lines between you and the Lord. Be encouraged!

Reminder: Please join our cause! Fostering Mind, Body, and Soul Incorporated (FMBS Inc.) partnered up with the LA Foodbank in our FIRST food drive which began on October 1, 2013 and will continue through to November 19, 2013; we are still soliciting both NON-perishable food items (at least 350 lbs) and/or monetary donations (a goal of $350) on behalf of the LA Foodbank. For every $1 collected, they are able to provide four meals. All food items will be used to restock their empty pantry shelves for current and/or future community service events that they sponsor. You can make monetary donations to myself or directly to their site at http://www.lafoodbank.org/virtual-food-drive/donor-pledge.aspx?member=99342517FBBDCBFB04EDE0CBF1F0A5B0. 50% of all unspecified monetary donations will be issued to FMBS Inc. for the same purpose - providing meals to underprivileged families in our local communities during the holiday seasons and throughout the year. Help us be a blessing in the lives of those in needIf it were you in need, wouldn't you want someone to help you and your family? Please do NOT feel limited to supporting the food drive. NO MATTER how large or small, YOUR contributions and support BENEFIT people in need. I encourage you to JOIN our cause. You may simply take this opportunity to make a charitable donation in support of our organization's normal operations - serving underprivileged communities and individuals of ALL ages in and around Southern California, via the PayPal link located on our website at http://www.fmbs-inc-bytye.org/. Or become an active member yourself; our organization will succeed and proper because of your efforts, help us be a blessing to those in need. On behalf of my team of volunteers, I thank you in advance for your contributions, donations, pledges, support, and for SHARING/PROMOTING these events to bring awareness to our efforts.  ~Tylesha "Tye" Allen, CEO/Founder of FMBS Inc.~

As we continue to work together to spread God’s Gospel, let us also encourage one another to take steps that lead to a healthy overall mind, body, and soul; TRANSFORM your body, mind, and soul by feeding your body healthy nutrition, and being cautious of what things you allow your eyes, ears, and spirits to be exposed to (e.g. media, books, TV, music, etc.). Have you fed your spirit today? CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN, so START YOUR TRANSFORMATION TODAY, because tomorrow is NOT promised. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcomeDo NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. "To IMPROVE is to CHANGE" - Winston Churchill. God Bless!

Lord please clear our minds, and open our eyes and ears so that we may see, hear, and receive your intended message from this fellowship. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Passage - John 14:27 (NLT):
"I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid."

Thoughts for Today:
"Emotional losses are among the hardest to accept. Bankruptcy, loss of job, or foreclosure on our home can lead to a loss of status and self esteem, bringing embarrassment that never seems to go away. Shame and guilt bring alienation from others, compounded by self-blame and withdrawal from supportive relationships. In today's scripture, Jesus was preparing His disciples for what was to come—betrayal, death, resurrection and His return to Heaven. He promised peace and exhorted them not to be troubled and frightened. As His followers today, we can receive that same peace—no matter what our circumstances. No matter what has happened, we are still special to Him. He still loves us and will never forsake us.

Consider this …

The attitude we have toward the losses of life will either make us or break us. We need to learn that we cannot always be in control of our lives. We should learn to change the things we can change, learn to accept the things we cannot change and ask for divine guidance to know the difference."

This is one of those "easier said than done" lessons, right? I know, but it's true. Our outlook on life is detrimental to how we handle the obstacles life throws our way. We can either accept our circumstances and do what is necessary to improve them, or we can settle for our current situation and complain for the rest of our lives, having done absolutely NOTHING to promote positive outcomes. It's not always easy to accept our past and to move forward with our future, but it is a NECESSARY part of the healing and forgiveness process. Like yesterday's lesson advised, we must LET GO and LET GOD so that we can rebuild our lives in the most positive way possible; in-turn improving our overall health, our prosperity, our success, and our contentment. To find the "peace" that the Bible speaks of, requires us first to ACCEPT the past; we must FORGIVE those who have wronged us including forgiving ourselves for any guilt we may harbor regarding our foolish decisions; we must CHANGE what is necessary to harvest growth, healing, contentment, happiness, and the peace that passeth all understanding.

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and strength. Give us the strength we need to forgive those who have wronged us, the same way you continuously grant forgiveness to us. Also, place upon those we have wronged the same desire, that we too may be forgiven by them. More importantly Father, whatever guilt we've place on self, allow us to release so that we may forgive ourselves. We thank you for the power of your peace Father - the kind that passeth all understanding. Help us to do as Jesus said, and put aside anxiety and fear. Help us to experience true inner peace. Transform us into a mirror image of Jesus so that His goodness is reflected in all that we do. We ask for forgiveness of everything that we have thought, said, or did, that was not pleasing in your sight. Bless us with a double portion of your Spirit Father. Close every unnecessary door that is open in our lives, and open supernatural doors to peace, prosperity, clarity, contentment, and happiness. Provide each of us with the clear and concise revelations we need in order to overcome the adversary. Help us to see, hear, and feel your presence through every trial and tribulation. Help us to reevaluate our lifestyles, and to rearrange our priorities, placing you at the top of our list. Provide discernment to know the difference between good and bad, right from wrong, and your will vs. our own desires. We thank you for provision, guidance, and protection from Satan’s attacks. By the authority in our words, we reverse all the negativity spoken into existence within our individual lives and the lives of our loved ones and associates. We take back everything the enemy has stolen from us, and bind every evil and malicious plot, plan, and scheme devised against us, in the matchless name of Jesus. Lord we also grant your angels permission to do our bidding on Earth without recourse. This is our affirmation of faith Father God; we submit our petition to you in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Respectfully,
Tylesha "Tye" Allen
