Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God for providing us with another day of endless opportunities. Please remember that production gaps for the SOD will continue until I am able to invest in a more reliable computer system, I thank you in advance for your understanding. Now let's move forward... leading a healthy lifestyle is not limited to our food consumption or fitness, rather our overall well being, which includes our mental stability. That being said, if there is someone or something in your life that has hindered you or negatively affected you in the past, it is time to LET IT GO... here are a few steps that may help you with the gradual process of letting go of the past: RELEASE your regrets because dwelling on them only strengthens the effect those negative thoughts have on your mental state; FORGIVE yourself and the individual(s) who negatively impacted you - do NOT harbor emotional attachments to the past by blaming yourself for the unfavorable outcome; FOCUS on the positives - what did you gain or learn from the situation?; REMEMBER the bad and the good - don't be so fixated with what was so "great" or "bad" about the circumstance or the individual(s) because everything plays a factor in your current state of being. Remembering a healthy balance of the good and bad will help you determine the positivity in letting it all go; RECONNECT with who and how you were before that experience; SEPARATE and ACCEPT that it's over - holding on to a possibility of rekindling that relationship or figuring out a way to reverse the negative impact of your hinderance, will keep your attention and energy wasted on false hopes; EMBRACE your emotions - it's OK to cry, scream, yell or REPLACE those memories by creating new ones with activities that bring you peace and joy; lastly, RECOGNIZE the benefits in moving on and translate that into ACTION. Today's healthy living tips were developed by using some ideals discussed in the referenced blog; nothing was written verbatim, hence the absence of quoted content (Deschene, L. TRANSFORM your body, mind, and soul TODAY because tomorrow is NOT promised; by feeding your body healthy nutrition, and being cautious of what things you allow your eyes, ears, and spirits to be exposed to (e.g. media, books, TV, music, etc.), YOU can start anew and become a better you. CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN... Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, "be the change that you want to see in the world." Have a blessed rest of the week.
Lord please clear our minds, and open our eyes and ears so that we may see, hear, and receive your intended message from this fellowship. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
Passage - Proverbs 6:16-19:
"There are six things the Lord hates—no, seven things he detests: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family."

We often compare the process of God's work in our lives as one of smoothing off the rough edges. The sinful nature and selfish characteristics that once defined who we were are no longer desirable, and if they are to remain they will hinder God's desired outcome of who we are to be in Him. The rough edges are the thorns that distract us from God's purpose, they are the eyesores that keep others from seeing the nature of Christ within us, and they are the calluses that prevent us from being sensitive to the movement of the Spirit of the living God. Where is it that you see yourself? How will you deal with rough edges? God has a perfect way to deal with the rough edges in our personal lives and in the body of the church, let's not pretend the rough edges don't exist, but instead, give them up to God for His loving hand to smooth all that is rough."

Interestingly enough, this is yet again another lesson which validates God's word that states, "all things work together for the good to those who love God" (refer to Romans 8:28). Did you peep how the intro on healthy living ties into this lesson? That was NOT intentionally. I write the intro before I even review the devotional featured in the SOD. Notice how the Spirit guides God's people... I often times observe that a sermon in church will tie into a conversation I've had or a personal Bible study, as well as other spiritual-based material that all relate to one another at a given time. Today I was led to help one of you and myself to LET GO of the past and to ACTIVELY APPLY the healing process into our lives. The devotional is a somewhat different approach to letting go, however, the concept is identical - LET GO of the PAST YOU and adopt a NEW YOU (changed and transformed) by allowing GOD to "smooth off" your rough edges.
Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and strength. We thank you for the strength we need to forgive those who have wronged us, the same way you continuously grant us forgiveness, and for placing upon those we have wronged the same desire, that we too may be forgiven by them. More so Father, we thank you for removing the guilt we once placed on self, and for removing every thought that has held us captive in our own minds. We thank you for transforming our image into one that mirrors Jesus, so that His goodness is reflected in all that we do. Thanks for blessing us with a double portion of your Spirit, and for closing every unnecessary door that is open in our lives. Thanks for opening supernatural doors in our lives that lead to peace, prosperity, clarity, contentment, and happiness. We thank you for providing each of us with the clear and concise revelations we need in order to overcome the adversary. Thanks for helping us to see, hear, and feel your presence through every trial and tribulation, and for the courage to rearrange our priorities, placing you at the top of our list. We thank you for discernment to know the difference between good and bad, right from wrong, and your will vs. our own desires. Thanks for provision, guidance, and protection from Satan’s attacks. By the authority in our words, we reverse all the negativity spoken into existence within our individual lives and the lives of our loved ones and associates. We take back everything the enemy has stolen from us, and bind every evil and malicious plot, plan, and scheme devised against us, in the matchless name of Jesus. Lord we also grant your angels permission to do our bidding on Earth without recourse. This is our affirmation of faith Father God; we submit our petition to you and thank you in advance for working it all out. All these things we claim in the name of Jesus, Amen!
Respectfully,
Tylesha "Tye" Allen
