Blissful Ignorance (2/19/2014)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God for providing us with another day of endless opportunities. Please remember that production gaps for the SOD will continue until I am able to invest in a more reliable computer system, I thank you in advance for your understanding. Now let's move forward... if you suffer from sleep disorders, Dr. Tasneem Bhatia, MD, medical director and founder of the Atlanta Center for Holistic & Integrative Medicine provides the following sleep remedies: 1) avoid sleep killers - limit caffeinated-drink intake yo less than 4 ounces total and avoid caffeine after 3 PM. Also, limit alcohol use to two to three drinks a week; 2) eat these to help you sleep - ...peanut butter on toast or a small serving of yogurt and fruit... leads to the production of serotonin, a relaxation chemical (in the brain); 3) Wear yourself out - adding just 10 minutes of movement (vigorous activity or exercise) a day can lead to better rest; 4) Supplement - taken an hour before bedtime, melatonin can help you drop off like a baby. Other supplements include 5-HTP (100mg 1/2 hour before bed), valerian root (2g at bedtime), jujube seed (250mg), and bhringraj (3-5g), which promote sleep and help you stay asleep (Rogan, D. (2013, September). Answers: Dr. Tasneem Bhatia/the energy doctor. Prevention, 56)"To IMPROVE is to CHANGE" ~Winston Churchill~  #Be encouraged!

TRANSFORM your body, mind, and soul TODAY because tomorrow is NOT promised; by feeding your body healthy nutrition, and being cautious of what things you allow your eyes, ears, and spirits to be exposed to (e.g. media, books, TV, music, etc.), YOU can start anew and become a better you. CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN... Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, "be the change that you want to see in the world." Have a blessed rest of the week.

Lord please clear our minds, and open our eyes and ears so that we may see, hear, and receive your intended message from this fellowship. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Passage - John 6: 60 & 66:
"Many of his disciples said, “This is very hard to understand. How can anyone accept it?” At this point many of His disciples turned away and deserted him."

"
Jesus had finished explaining to many of his disciples some of the principles surrounding who He was. But what Jesus said was difficult for them to receive because what He said rubbed harshly against their flesh. What Jesus said did not settle with what they in their own human wisdom could reason out. "Many of his disciples," the scripture tells us, "turned back and no longer followed him." Their response was to say within themselves, "I just can't understand that--I don't even want to think about it." We like to feel secure in our beliefs and understandings about the way things are. When something or someone comes along that shakes those beliefs and causes us to question things of which we have felt secure in our understanding, our tendency is to resist. We become uncomfortable and insecure and find ourselves at the crossroads--wondering what is right and who is wrong. We have a choice: struggle through the questions, trusting God for the answers; or bow to the bliss of ignorance

.

I remember the first time my faith was challenged. Sometime back when the booming social network was Blackplanet, this guy sent me a message asking a bunch of questions that had me on the defense about why I believed in God and His Word. They were all logical questions, but because I was insecure in my own faith and struggling with my Christian sense, my human logic lead me into a state of confusion; instead of embracing the questions and allowing God to reveal an appropriate response, I felt as though I was leading a debate about my beliefs. After spending time in the Word however, I realized that one's faith should never become the topic of an argument; faith is something we choose to follow blindly as a result of an inner peace that provides security in our personal belief system. The key word is "personal." Everyone has the right to his or her own beliefs and religious practices, thus they do NOT have to ever justify thatRegardless to denomination, we are all serving the same God; the evidence of this should be in our demeanor, our knowledge of the Word, our individual works, and the image that is portrayed through our daily actions. When you are following Christ according to His will for your life, no one will ever question your faith because it will be evident in all that you think, do, and say. So do NOT be discouraged by complicated questions of faith that challenge your Christian sense. Be mindful that we as humans have the instinct to respond and think on scientific logic and reason - things that can physically be observed, touched, or "proven." Be content in knowing that God provided our proof in the form of our Saviour Jesus Christ and the Holy SpiritInstead of jumping to defend your beliefs, focus on the actions that coincide with that which you proclaim to believe in, and allow that to do the talking for youAn important thing to remember is that everyone processes life and its experiences in their own unique manner, and yes there is a right and wrong way to approach some things in life, however we were blessed with the free will to follow what we choose to be the "right way," and in the end the only judge will be God. EVERYONE is entitled to their own opinion, their own faith practices, and their own way to deal with life. Our objective as Christians is to live according to the will of God, leading by example, and spreading the Gospel and/or other wisdom and guidance allowing the person(s) on the receiving end to do with that information what they will; GOD IS THE ONLY JUDGE. Focus on LEADING by example, RESPECT others, TRUST GOD to provide ALL the answers to your concerns, and if or when the people you are trying to influence would rather "bow to the bliss of ignorance," LET THEM, and CONTINUE TO SEEK SOLACE IN THE LORD'S PROMISES.

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for life, health, and strength. We thank you for the strength we need to forgive those who have wronged us, the same way you continuously grant us forgiveness, and for placing upon those we have wronged the same desire, that we too may be forgiven by them. More so Father, we thank you for removing the guilt we once placed on self, and for removing every thought that has held us captive in our own minds. We thank you for transforming our image into one that mirrors Jesus, so that His goodness is reflected in all that we do. Thanks for blessing us with a double portion of your Spirit, and for closing every unnecessary door that is open in our lives. Thanks for opening supernatural doors in our lives that lead to peace, prosperity, clarity, contentment, and happiness. We thank you for providing each of us with the clear and concise revelations we need in order to overcome the adversary. Thanks for helping us to see, hear, and feel your presence through every trial and tribulation, and for the courage to rearrange our priorities, placing you at the top of our list. We thank you for discernment to know the difference between good and bad, right from wrong, and your will vs. our own desires. Thanks for provision, guidance, and protection from Satan’s attacks. By the authority in our words, we reverse all the negativity spoken into existence within our individual lives and the lives of our loved ones and associates. We take back everything the enemy has stolen from us, and bind every evil and malicious plot, plan, and scheme devised against us, in the matchless name of Jesus. Lord we also grant your angels permission to do our bidding on Earth without recourse. This is our affirmation of faith Father God; we submit our petition to you and thank you in advance for working it all out. All these things we claim in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Respectfully,
Tylesha "Tye" Allen
