Hey yall, tomorrow is Friday... I used to get excited this time of week because it was a break from work, but it's honestly less stressful working from home. However, I know that all yall hard workers out there are doing cartwheels in your head, ready for your woosah moment the second your work day ends. That being said, prioritize your weekend well, and try to find some time to really relax even, if it's just reading the Word, reading a book, or taking a nap; whatever your rest may be, enjoy it, and act responsibly. PRAYER REQUESTS: Please continue to pray for me and the other SOD recipients as the Spirit leads. ANNOUNCEMENTS: For those of you interested in additional fellowship, the following may be of interest to you: (A) Good Times prayer line is conducted Monday-Friday at 7:00 AM (EST) and 4:00 PM (PST), just call (862) 902-0260 and enter the access code 1457426; (B) Church by phone is held every Monday night at 7:30 PM, join by calling (424) 203-8400 and enter the access code 889873; (C) Bible study by phone takes place every Tuesday evening at 5:30 PM (PST), dial (712) 432-3100 and enter access code 293512... I am scouting for 2-4 families that possess a true need for assistance; my non-profit organization will provide the selected family(ies) with all the essential items to prepare a complete Thanksgiving meal. If you know of a deserving family(ies), provide their contact information that they may be evaluated for consideration as one of this year's meal box recipients. Please submit any monetary donations, food contributions, and/or recipient nominations NLT November 23rd, to allow time for us to prepare the meal boxes and have them delivered to the recipient family(ies) prior to the holiday. Additionally, I would like to spend some time volunteering this Thanksgiving, so if you have any leads, please forward those to me as well. Or, if you require some real assistance on that day, feel free to call on me. BTW, it's that time of year again to register your Ralph's and Food 4 Less Reward Cards to my non-profit organization [follow the steps below]. HEALTHY LIVING TIPS:
If any of yall suffer from knee pain like myself, the following tip is just for you... "Don't let achy knees derail your workout. Strengthening your thighs is key to healthy knees, finds a Mayo Clinic study. Osteoarthritis sufferers with strong quads (fronts of thighs) were 60% less likely to lose joint-protecting cartilage. Protect your knees with these simple but effective moves—they're easy on the joints but give your thighs a real challenge. Do 2 sets of 10 reps on each leg for all exercises, 3 to 5 days a week: (1) Big Squeeze - Sit on floor with back straight, right leg extended, and left knee bent, foot flat. Tighten right quads, pressing back of leg toward floor. Hold for 10 and relax; (2) Thigh Tightener - In same position... [as in number 1], flex right foot and lift leg about 6 inches. Hold for 6 seconds [then] lower; (3) Leg Lift - Sit in a chair, feet flat on floor. Straighten right leg, raising foot until leg is about parallel to floor. Hold for 6 seconds [then] lower [repeat steps 1-3 using the opposite leg/knee]" (Gorin, A. (2011, November). Stronger knees in 3 easy moves. Prevention. Retrieved from http://www.prevention.com/).

BE ENCOURAGED: TRANSFORM your body, mind, and soul TODAY because tomorrow is NOT promised; by feeding your body healthy nutrition, and being cautious of what things you allow your eyes, ears, and spirit to be exposed to (e.g. media, books, TV, music, etc.), YOU can start anew and become a better you. CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN... Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, "be the change that you want to see in the world." Have a blessed rest of the week.
Lord please clear our minds, and open our eyes, ears, and heart so that we may see, hear, and receive your intended message from this fellowship. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
PASSAGE - ROMANS 8:28:
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."

REFLECTIONS:
"Perhaps you have heard that life isn't fair. Perhaps you heard that at a time when that was the last thing you wanted to hear. In all reality, life isn't fair—it is more than fair. Life, first and foremost, is not some random series of events—bad, good and otherwise. To think that life is like some haphazard [characterized by lack of order or planning, by irregularity, or by randomness] game of chance is to leave God out of the equation. You've heard that God has a plan for your life. It’s true. God has a purpose and plan for your life and He always has your best interest at heart—regardless of how well you understand what it is He is doing in your life. Why is life more than fair? Because God is active in it. He blesses you in all things. He blesses you in ways you are pleased with. And He blesses you in ways that don’t make you happy—but they do make you whole. When life doesn't seem fair, it may be hard to remember that there is so much more going on than you see. For you have a loving Father who will always be using all things—bad or good—to bring about what is truly good in the lives of His children" (Chambers, R. (2014, October 12). Life isn't fair [Web log comment]. Retrieved from http://reflections.daybyday.org/).
I'll be the first to admit that I have issues with the "life isn't fair" statement... ironically, that is the very statement I provide to individuals I am trying to assist during their turmoil. But why is it so easy for us to resort to such a phrase when counselling others, yet are quick to avoid/ignore it when we are experiencing troubles of our own? You don't know the answer? Well, neither do I. My speculation piggy backs off another saying, "it's easier said than done." Regardless, we have to be confident and content in God's promise - "if He brought you to it, He'll bring you through it" (refer to Isaiah 41:10).
"God works out all things - not just isolated incidents - for our good. This does not mean that all that happens to us is good. Evil is prevalent in our fallen world, but God is able to turn it around for our long-range good. Note that God is not working to make us happy but to fulfill His purpose. Note also that this promise is not for everybody. It can be claimed only by those who love God and are fitting into God's plans. Those who are "called" are those the Holy Spirit convinces and enables to receive Christ. Such people have a new perspective, a new mind-set on life. They trust in God, not life's treasures; they look to their security in Heaven, not on Earth; they learn to accept, not resent, pain and persecution because they know God is with them" (Tyndale House Publishers. (2004). Romans. Life Application Study Bible: King James Version: Notes 8:28 (pp. 1698). Carol Stream, IL: Tyndale House Publishers, Inc.).
PRAYER OF THE DAY:
Father God we would like to start off giving you thanks for life, health, and strength. We thank you for the courage needed to forgive those who have wronged us, the same way you continuously grant us forgiveness, and for placing upon those we have wronged the same desire, that we too may be forgiven by them for our wrongdoings. We thank you for deliverance from our burdens, heartache, pain and suffering, financial instability, depression and anxiety, and from addiction(s). We thank for restoring us physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally; continue to guide us and transform us into individuals whose image mirrors that if Jesus. Continue to open supernatural doors in our lives that lead to peace, prosperity, clarity, contentment, and happiness. Thank you for provision, guidance, and protection from Satan’s attacks. By the authority in our words, we take back everything the enemy has stolen from us, we reverse the negativity we have spoken into existence, and we bind every evil and malicious plot, plan, and scheme devised against us, in the matchless name of Jesus. Lord we also grant your angels permission to do our bidding on Earth, and thank you for your protection from recourse. Lord we ask that you forgive us for the things and individuals we forget to pray for; despite our failures, we ask that you do not fail to address those concerns. We claim these things, and submit our affirmation of faith to you God, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
Respectfully,
