Hey yall, I pray that yall enjoy the weekend, and use your time off work and/or school, to really get some relaxation in. PRAYER REQUESTS: Please continue to pray for me and the other SOD recipients as the Spirit leads. Also, pray for the Gambel family, as they delivered a new member into their family a few days ago, praise God for that. ANNOUNCEMENTS: For those of you interested in additional fellowship, or receiving the monthly newsletter from my non-profit organization, feel free to hit me up and I will respond to your request(s) accordingly. In lieu of Thanksgiving, I am preparing for my annual distribution of Thanksgiving Meal Boxes to selected families. Time is winding down, and I am still searching for 2-4 families that possess a true need for assistance; my non-profit organization will provide the selected family(ies) with all the essential items to prepare a complete Thanksgiving meal. If you know of a deserving family(ies), provide their contact information that they may be evaluated for consideration as one of this year's meal box recipients. Please submit any monetary donations, food contributions, and/or recipient nominations NLT November 23rd, to allow time for us to prepare the meal boxes and have them delivered to the recipient family(ies) prior to the holiday. I'm also interested in volunteering this Thanksgiving, so if you have any leads please forward those to me as well. Lastly, if you haven't already done so, please take a moment to re-register (link) your Ralph's and/or Food 4 Less Reward Cards to my non-profit organization, to help us raise funds throughout the year to fund our daily operations; this registration process must occur annually, so please follow the steps below. Thanks in advance for your continued support and/or contribution(s), and please share this information with others:

HEALTHY LIVING TIPS:
The following tips may help you control your stress... "(1) Put on a happy face: Smiling soothes you, even if you're just going through the motions. A University of Wisconsin study found that people who'd had Botox injections were less prone to anger because they couldn't express it. What's the lesson? Just fake it 'til you make it; (2) Load up on whole grains: 'If you're feeling grumpy, the best idea is to eat an all-carb whole grain snack and you should feel happier within a half hour,' says nutritionist Elizabeth Somer, RD, the author of Eat Your Way to Sexy. 'The carbs raise blood sugar, which boosts serotonin, a neurotransmitter associated with calm, positive feelings that last.' Aim for 30 grams of carbs: 4 cups of air-popped popcorn or half of a whole wheat English muffin (but not a bag of Chips Ahoy) will do the trick; (3) Focus on the exhale:
We've all heard that deep breathing is crucial to feeling tranquil, but the most important part of it is breathing out, Dr. Hanson says: 'When you elongate your exhalations, you spark your parasympathetic nervous system, which slows down your heart rate.' Take three long exhalations, making them twice as long as your inhalation" (Baumgardner, J. (2013, November). 2-Minute stress solutions. Prevention. Retrieved from http://www.prevention.com/).

BE ENCOURAGED: TRANSFORM your body, mind, and soul TODAY because tomorrow is NOT promised; by feeding your body healthy nutrition, and being cautious of what things you allow your eyes, ears, and spirit to be exposed to (e.g. media, books, TV, music, etc.), YOU can start anew and become a better you. CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN... Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, "be the change that you want to see in the world." Have a blessed rest of the week.
Lord please clear our minds, and open our eyes, ears, and hearts so that we may see, hear, and receive your intended message from this fellowship. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
PASSAGE - PHILIPPIANS 4:7:
"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

REFLECTIONS:
"It doesn't matter anymore," I said, consumed with awe; "None of it really matters." All the things that had been weighing on my conscience suddenly faded in comparison to my new-found relationship with Jesus. I thought about the worries I had held onto, the troubles that seemed so gigantic--and somewhere in that moment--they lost the power they had held over me for so long. For years, I had claimed to know Christ and His peace. But suddenly, I realized I didn't really know Him at all. I was a new creation in Him, and my eyes were opened. Since that day, His peace has been renewed in my heart and in the midst of various circumstances. I've one thing to say regarding that: Jesus is faithful. And when the cares of this life begin to weigh on me, He gently draws me back and reminds me of the peace He brings. And so I fix my eyes on Jesus, and again I am consumed with awe. He is the author and finisher of my faith. And He is the Prince of everlasting, and unfathomable peace" (Chambers, R. (2014, November 14). Unfathomable peace [Web log comment]. Retrieved from http://reflections.daybyday.org/).
Now we done covered this concept a grip of times now... are you still questioning where God is, or why He hasn't "shown up" in your life yet? How can you really say that you know the Lord, if you are not quick to be reminded of your blessings? Are you not still living and reading this SOD? Do you have at least one person who has your best interest at heart, even if that one person is yourself? Do you have operable body parts, even if some struggle with its functionality? So then what exactly is it that you're questioning? Your real concern should be directed toward self - after all, it is self that interferes with our ability to recognize and appreciate the little things in life. Self is often times so tightly linked to the the flesh, that we are clouded by the shoulda, coulda, wouldas instead of what we've actually been blessed with. So I challenge you my friends, to evaluate your lives, and if you're having a difficult time recognizing and appreciating your blessings, which in turn will lead to peace, look at someone else's life who has it worse off than you; consider the homeless, consider the terminally ill, consider the hopeless and the lost, and then reevaluate your own life and realize just how blessed you are. Then, find contentment and peace in that... If you still have trouble after that, then you need to spend more time studying the Word and in deep prayer.
"God's peace is different from the world's peace (see John 14:27). It is not found in positive thinking, in absence of conflict, or in good feelings. Real peace comes from KNOWING that because God is in control, our citizenship in Christ's Kingdom is sure, our destiny is set, and our victory over sin is certain" (Tyndale House Publishers. (2004). Philippians. Life Application Study Bible: King James Version: Notes 4:7 (pp. 1801). Carol Stream, IL: Tyndale House Publishers, Inc.).
PRAYER OF THE DAY:
Father God we enter into your house with Thanksgiving, thanking you for our goings and our comings - for those blessings we acknowledge, and especially those that go unrecognized. We thank you for the courage needed to forgive those who have wronged us, the same way you continuously grant us forgiveness, and for placing upon those we have wronged the same desire, that we too may be forgiven by them for our wrongdoings. We thank you for deliverance from our burdens, heartache, pain and suffering, financial instability, depression and anxiety, and from addiction(s). We thank you for opening our eyes and hearts, so that we may recognize all that we have been blessed with, and to honor those blessings with praise to you. We thank for restoring us physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally; continue to guide us and transform us into individuals whose image mirrors that if Jesus. Lord continue to bless and keep the Gambel family as they care for their new addition to their family; provide that new one with peace, health, and strength. Continue to open supernatural doors in each of lives, leading us to peace, prosperity, clarity, contentment, and happiness. Thank you for provision, guidance, and protection from Satan’s attacks. By the authority in our words, we take back everything the enemy has stolen from us, we reverse all the negativity we have spoken into existence, and we bind every evil and malicious plot, plan, and scheme devised against us, in the matchless name of Jesus. Lord we also grant your angels permission to do our bidding on Earth, and thank you for your protection from recourse. Lord we ask that you forgive us for the things and individuals we've forgotten to pray for; despite our failures, we ask that you do not fail to address those concerns. We claim these things, and submit our affirmation of faith to you God, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
Respectfully,
