Keep your mouth Shut (1/12/12)

Greetings Everyone,
I did get a lil nap in today, but not long enough. Anyway, continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversityGod Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

Proverbs 21:23 says, "Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut, and you will stay out of trouble." Really, need I say more? But of course I will anyway. I think this passage speak volumes to the gossiper. I've learned first hand about the consequences of saying too much. In relation to the parent-child or any elder comparison relationship, the junior must remain in his or her place and respect their elders; shut up and LISTEN! There were instances when I was casually talking about something, and an eavesdropper heard the conversation, exaggerated some words, twisted some phrases, and I lost an associate as a result. My associate didn't care to find out the details, she just assumed that the other individual was being truthful, and despite the fact that I had people who could testify that I had only spoke good things about her success, she still opted to back away from our association, which sucked because she was my hair stylist. Now I have to do my own hair, it saves money, but it takes far longer than I'd like it to. Anyway, if we remain cognizant of the words that we allow to depart our mouth, then we won't have to defend them later.

Prayer of the Day:
Lord we thank you for your grace and mercy. We thank you for the peace that passeth all understand. Father God we thank you for the knowledge that satan is a deceiver, and for the ability in our words alone to defeat the enemy. We thank you for your continued love, grace, and protection. We thank you for the ability to smile when we are hurting. We thank you for revealing what darkness has kept in the shade. We thank you for providing clarity in the midst of satan's confusion. We thank you for the victory over sin, defeat over the enemy, and deliverance from heavy burdens. We thank you for the strength to keep on keeping on, and the power of our words to make the devil flee. We thank you for reversing all the negative and restoring complete positivity into every facet of our lives. We thank you for keeping us filled with the Spirit, so that the words that depart our mouth no longer posses corruption, rather, our words now speak life into every circumstance. We thank you now for the victory, and we submit our affirmation of faith to you in the name of Jesus, Amen!
