Greetings Everyone,
So, I think my mini Winter vacation was too long, migraines are tryna attack again, and so is the lethargy, but we are doing what now? Speaking our desired results into existence, so I claim victory now over my health in the name of Jesus! Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity, God Bless!
Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."
James 2:20-24 says, "How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless? Don't you remember that our ancestor Abraham was shown to be right with God by his actions when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete. And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: "Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith." He was even called the friend of God. So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone." I like this passage, for me, it can easily be tied into the lessons we've learned in our "power of the tongue" series; we can say to our problems "be gone" but if we do not have the faith in our ability to claim defeat over our trials, and victory over the enemy, then what we have spoken is in vain. We pray time and time again, but feel that our prayers are not answered. Ask yourself this, "am I praying in faith or in fear?" If you are speaking and praying the problem, "Lord, I keep praying but you are not hearing me," or "Lord, things are getting worse," then YOU are the reason behind your own demise. The spiritual law says that, "whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (Mark 11:24). Therefore, whether spoken in fear or in faith, whatever YOU say, will produce after its kind (refer to Proverbs 12:6, 14). It is the same application of faith relative to works, without one the other has no significance. If I do good deeds in life but do not believe in God, then what honor have I? If I believe in God but do not put into practice His principles of love, and service to others, what faith have I? If I say to the mountain "be thou removed" but do not believe it will come to pass, what ability have I? The links in all these things are FAITH and ACTION, without one, the other has no bearing. True faith in God will result in obedience to His word, and will produce good deeds, however, good deeds do not justify or validate wrong doings. Deeds without faith provides recognition from our peers if any, but faith and active obedience to God's will grants us salvation. Faith in our ability to "speak those things that be not as though they were" into existence, sets our words into motion; YOU can proclaim victory and see it manifest if you speak in faith.
Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for our goings and comings, the good and bad moments of life. We thank you for our failures and triumphs, because we know that all these things have enhanced our growth and influenced our relationship with you for the better. We thank you for the strength to keep moving forward, the ability to make the enemy flee, and the authority in our words to claim healing, peace, deliverance, restoration, and salvation. We thank you that in the name of Jesus, we can claim these things and receive them through faith. We thank you for the victory over our previous and present battles, as well as those to come. We thank you for your continued protection, necessary revelations and endings, exciting beginnings, forgiveness, grace and mercy. We thank you for the ability and strength to forgive those who have wronged us, and for the strength to forgive ourselves. We thank you for providing the guidance we need to put faith into practice; may we apply what we've learned from your message, to our daily lives, trusting that the victory is already won. We present to you our affirmation of faith, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
