It's NOT what you think (6/19/2015)

Hello everyone it's Friday! Forget the parties, it's time for Q.T. with G.O.D.; Yahweh first then everything else. Anyway, I encourage you to always read the Prayer of the Day, though typically unchanging, it effectively covers significant concerns worth praying forPRAYER REQUESTS: My aunt Marilyn was in an accident a few days ago, she's doing well but has a broken wrist; pray for a speedy recovery. Please continue praying for one another as the Spirit leads, and remember to thank Yahweh for the victory while refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome (refer to the book The Tongue – A Creative Force, by Charles Capps). ANNOUNCEMENTS: If you or someone you know would like to get involved in giving back to the community, donations may be made year-round to assist my non-profit organization, FMBS Inc., with its day-to-day operations through the PayPal link located on our website (listed below under Join Our Cause). You may also register to contribute funds per every purchase you make through Ralph's and/or Food 4 Less (this is NO cost to you, the donation is a percentage taken from each purchase, and donated from the store on your behalf); if you would like to link your rewards card with FMBS Inc. let me know so that I may send you the information to register... ALL registrations must be updated ANNUALLY, so if your rewards card was previously enrolled, my request is that you resubmit your registration each year. Your continued support is always appreciated. Please keep spreading the word.

HEALTHY LIVING TIPS:
Change begins within… "Salmon isn't just a ridiculously tasty dinner, it's also proven to make you feel better from head to toe: Three to four servings a week can ease depression; People who have IBS also have blood deficient in long-chain fatty acids - fish oil helps fill that gap and lessens symptoms; Eating more omega-3s reduced headache pain and improved quality of life for people with chronic headaches; Lubricating joints with fish oil can reduce arthritis pain; 3.5 ounces = 1,000 to 2,000 mg of omega-3s" (Klein, S. (2015, June). 4 Ways salmon is your new painkiller. Prevention. Retrieved from http://www.prevention.com).

BE ENCOURAGED: NEVER lose sight of God in the midst of adversity… If you believe in God (His title) – Yahweh (His personal name), you can be delivered, transformed, restored, and your mind can be renewed. The rest of this day isn’t promised, let alone tomorrow, so why not strengthen your faith TODAY? Feed your body healthy nutrition, be cautious of what things you allow your eyes, ears, and spirit to be exposed to (e.g. media, books, TV, music, etc.), and YOU can start anew and become a better you, NOW not later. Ponder this, “Knowledge has to be improved, challenged, and increased constantly, or it vanishes” (Peter Drucker). Have a blessed weekend.

Yahweh, please clear our minds and open our eyes, ears, and hearts so that we may see, hear, and receive your intended message from this fellowship. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

PASSAGE – JONAH 4:5:
So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city.”

REFLECTIONS:
We are all called to be ministers of a sort. But doing ministry has its difficulties (as so many people can attest). As we seek to follow God’s lead, we often find the greatest hindrance to doing so is ‘I’. What ‘I’ expect. What ‘I’ want. What ‘I’ think… Like Jonah, what ‘I’ want can cause me to run opposite of where God leads. Like Jonah, what ‘I’ think can lead me follow my reasoning above God’s reason. And, like Jonah, what ‘I’ expect can develop in me a bitter attitude towards people and even God’s plan, simply because God didn’t work as I thought He should. Setting out to minister, we seldom consider such snares might await us. But many a minister has burned out or broken beneath the burdens brought by personal plans, wants, reasoning, and expectations of how they thought God should work. It is, after all, His work. We can praise Him for what He does and how He does it. Or, like Jonah, we can pout beneath our shelter and wonder why God doesn’t work according to what ‘I’ want, think, or expect.” (Chambers, R. (2015, June 19). Prodigal prophet [Web log comment]. Retrieved from http://reflections.daybyday.org/)

So here we go again, if you're constantly questioning "why" things are not going the way YOU expected, then it's time to REMOVE self from the equation and consider what Yahweh's plan is for your life. Sometimes when He works it will meet our expectations, NOT because He's working on our time, NOR is He trying to cater to our wants; when we are living righteously, and moving according to His will, then our desires will begin to fashion themselves around His Word and His will. Thus, our wants may be fulfilled in the time we anticipated - having absolutely NOTHING to do with what we personally think or feel - because our righteousness has molded our desires and expectations to match that which is in His will.

"If we will obey God's Word He will gently lead us. His harsh judgement is reserved for those who persist in rebellion"(Tyndale House Publishers. (2004). Jonah. Life Application Study Bible: King James Version: Notes 4:5-11 (pp. 1270). Carol Stream, IL: Tyndale House Publishers, Inc.).

PRAYER OF THE DAY:
Yahweh we thank you for life, health, and strength. Thank you for providing the courage and strength we need to remove the guilt we've placed on self, and for removing every negative thought that has held us captive in our own minds. Lord please place your healing hand upon Marilyn, providing instant relief from any discomfort she may be experiencing; we thank you in advance for her complete and speedy recovery. We thank you for transforming our image into one that mirrors Jesus, so that His goodness is reflected in all that we do. Thanks for blessing each of us with a double portion of your Spirit, and for closing every unnecessary door that is open in our lives. Thanks for opening supernatural doors to peace, prosperity, clarity, contentment, and happiness. We thank you for providing each of us with the clear and concise revelations we need in order to overcome the adversary. Please continue to help us see, hear, and feel your presence through every trial and tribulation, and for discernment to know the difference between your will vs. our own desires. We take back everything the enemy has stolen from us, and bind every evil and malicious plot, plan and scheme devised against us, in the matchless name of Jesus. We grant your angels permission to do our bidding on earth, and thank you for protecting us from its recourse. For everyone and everything we have failed to pray for, we ask that you do not fail to address the concern. This is our affirmation of faith Yahweh, we submit our petition to you, and claim all these things in the name of Jesus, Amen!

Respectfully,
