Hello everyone, for some
reason I was thinking today was Wednesday and that yesterday was Tuesday. I guess
my sense of dates and time is still a bit off. Anyway, as yall wind this week
down, start considering how to prioritize your weekend to ensure that you have
placed God at the top of the totem pole and that which is most significant, is
in its proper place. For example, if you have finals on Monday morning but
haven’t studied more than an hour the entire week, you may want to skip the
Saturday night festivities with your pals, and bury your head in the books
instead. Or perhaps you have a utility bill due vs. a trip to a concert with
your buddies. Which is most important?
PRAYER REQUESTS: As the Spirit leads, please remember one another
in prayer, and thank God for the victory while refraining from claiming defeat
from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the
unfavorable outcome (refer to the book The
Tongue – A Creative Force, by Charles Capps). ANNOUNCEMENTS: Donations
may be made year-round to assist FMBS Inc. with our day-to-day operations,
through the PayPal link located on our website (listed below under Join Our Cause). Don’t forget to check
out my online jewelry boutique at http://TyeDreamsBig.kitsylane.com, and remember that I am here for your child
care needs (Moreno Valley and local surrounding areas), as well as your notary
and loan signing needs; feel free to contact me for mobile notary services and
information about lodging deals with Westgate Resorts. Your continued support
is always appreciated, and please spread the word.
HEALTHY LIVING TIPS:
Change begins within… what
changes do you want to see in your life? Would you like to tone up your body?
Do you want to lose weight? Is your desire to kick some bad habits such as
smoking or drinking too much? If you can’t find something or someone to
motivate you enough to reach your goal(s), then use LIFE as your motivation. How will a fit body benefit you? What
benefits do drinking and smoking have on your health? Create a list of
the pros and cons of your goals, and when you see that the benefit is greater
in reaching toward a healthier lifestyle, DO NOT wait until tomorrow or the next
day; take a step the moment you finish your list to get your life on track,
and then work your way into a consistent schedule. Putting things off until “later”
only postpones your victory. Mahatma Gandhi said to “BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO
SEE,” not ‘think about the change you want to see in your life, and continue
procrastinating until you magically see results without any effort.’ Your transformation begins with
YOU taking a stand to pursue realistic goals, and your commitment and efforts
to reach those goals. You will never get an A+ average by putting
forth minimal efforts. Hard work and dedication are what produces results. What are you willing to WORK for? Change
is a process, but with continued work, results will ensue.

BE ENCOURAGED: If you believe in God, you can be
delivered, transformed, restored, and your mind can be renewed. The rest of
this day isn’t promised, let alone tomorrow, so why not strengthen your faith TODAY? Feed your body healthy
nutrition, be cautious of what things you allow your eyes, ears, and spirit to
be exposed to (e.g. media, books, TV, music, etc.), and YOU can start anew and
become a better you, NOW not later. NEVER lose sight of God in the midst of adversity… CHANGE
BEGINS WITHIN. Ponder
this, “Knowledge has to be improved, challenged, and
increased constantly, or it vanishes” (Peter Drucker). Have a blessed rest of
the week.
Lord please clear our
minds, and open our eyes, ears, and hearts so that we may see, hear, and
receive your intended message from this fellowship. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
PASSAGE – EPHESIANS 4:17-18,
22-23:
“This I say therefore,
and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in
the vanity of their mind, having the understanding
darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in
them, because of the blindness of their heart: that ye put off concerning the
former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful
lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind;”

indicated, all scripture quotations are taken from the King James Version (KJV)
of the Bible***
REFLECTIONS:
“It has
been said that in order to be a good teacher, one must first be a good student.
A Christian cannot lead unless willing first to be led. We must humble
ourselves before Christ, as His disciple (or student). We must also be willing
to humble ourselves before other Christians; and sometimes other people we do
not believe we should have to listen to. It is so very often pride that
prevents us from learning. Like a young teen, we are sometimes with Jesus – assuring
Him that we know the answer, or that we need no help for a particular task.
Pride is perhaps the greatest obstruction to learning. But when it is replaced
with a humble attitude, then the disciple is open to receive so much from God,
and in ways and places completely unexpected. It is truly amazing how useful
the eyes of the soul can be, once pride is removed from the pupil” (Chambers, R. (2015, May 27).
When pride falleth [Web log comment].

“People should be able to see a
difference between Christians and non-Christians because of the way Christians
live. Paul tells the Ephesians to leave behind the old life of sin
now that they are followers of Christ. Living the Christian life is a process.
Although we have a new nature, we don’t automatically have all good thoughts
and attitudes when we become new people in Christ. But if we keep listening
to God, we will be changing all the time… Although change may be slow, it
comes about if you trust God to change you” (Tyndale House Publishers. (2004). Ephesians. Life
Application Study Bible: King James Version: Notes 4:17-24 (pp. 1786).
Carol Stream, IL: Tyndale House Publishers, Inc.).
I think
the above applies to life in general… to see a difference, you must do something differently.
So in order to be distinguished from a hoodlum, you have to carry yourself
differently than them. If you want to be healthier, then you must make changes
in your lifestyle, diet, and fitness regimen in order to render results. There
isn’t a magic spell, a special pill, or an overnight miracle answer to change.
The answer is that YOU MUST DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT in your life, in order to
see significant changes in self. If you are wondering why people have
placed you in the same category as others who you feel hold no comparison, then
there must be something that you are doing (to do is an action) regularly,
which makes their observations somewhat valid. So, take a moment to reassess
your lifestyle, compare your actions to the Word of God, and make the necessary
adjustments to be better. With time, you will begin to see your thoughts,
attitudes, actions, and habits transform to mirror Christ-like behaviors and desirable
results.
PRAYER
OF THE DAY:
Father God we thank you
for life, health, and strength. Thank you for providing the courage and
strength we need to remove the guilt we've placed on self, and for removing
every negative thought that has held us captive in our own minds. We thank you
for transforming our image into one that mirrors Jesus, so that His goodness is
reflected in all that we do. Thanks for blessing us with a double portion of
your Spirit, and for closing every unnecessary door that is open in our lives.
Thanks for opening supernatural doors to peace, prosperity, clarity,
contentment, and happiness. We thank you for providing each of us with the
clear and concise revelations we need in order to overcome the adversary.
Please continue to help us see, hear, and feel your presence through every
trial and tribulation, and for discernment to know the difference between your
will vs. our own desires. We take back everything the enemy has stolen from us,
and bind every evil and malicious plot, plan and scheme devised against us, in
the matchless name of Jesus. We grant your angels permission to do our bidding
on earth, and thank you for protecting us from its recourse. This is our
affirmation of faith Father God, we submit our petition to you, and claim all
these things in the name of Jesus, Amen!
Respectfully,
