All honor and glory to God! So, I've been getting to bed slightly earlier than my usual nights, but clearly, tonight will not be one of them. I had some stuff to work on for my team assignment that is due on Monday, and I have an issue with stopping a project before it's done. Seriously, its like an addiction, I must finish the assignment once I start it, complete the next level to some random game on my iPod, or finish eating the last hand full of polly seeds even though my mouth is dry and my teeth are tired of cracking the shells. Why can't I be that enthused when it's time to clean my house? LOL. Anyway, please pray for the Lampkin family in their time of bereavement, Claudette Stuart for effective communication skills, and myself for organization, great time management, and the highest attainable GPA for my degree program. Remember, we are speaking and praying our desired outcome, NOT claiming the enemy's defeat. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NIV):
"Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one's life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison."
Jeremiah 1:5-12 says, "I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations." 'O Sovereign Lord,' I said, 'I can't speak for you! I'm too young!' The Lord replied, 'Don’t say, 'I'm too young,' for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. And don't be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!' Then the Lord reached out and touched my mouth and said, 'Look, I have put my words in your mouth! Today I appoint you to stand up against nations and kingdoms. Some you must uproot and tear down, destroy and overthrow. Others you must build up and plant.' Then the Lord said to me, 'Look, Jeremiah! What do you see?' And I replied, 'I see a branch from an almond tree.' And the Lord said, 'That's right, and it means that I am watching, and I will certainly carry out all my plans.'" Today we are going to divert from our series a bit, we'll remain on the same theme, but we won't be following along in the book The Tongue - A Creative Force, written by Charles Capps. This passage is the Lord specifically talking to Jeremiah, but if the Bible is here as our guidelines, then there is a lesson to be learned from these scriptures. The Word says, "I can do ALL things through Christ which strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). The Word does NOT say, that we can do some things, but "ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST." We've been talking about avoiding speaking contrary to the Word. Jeremiah spoke contrary to Philippians 4:13, when he told the Lord, 'I'm too young.' If God calls You to a mission, then You must answer, no matter how young or wise in age. But the very moment we speak negativity, we open the door for satan to enter in, yet, Jesus is at the door too, waiting for You to accept the victory He's already won. Instead, You claim your problem, You accept defeat from your circumstance, and You allow the enemy to reside in Your life, while Jesus is turned away to return back to His Father with an absent prayer; Jesus will NOT relay your negative confessions to God, because negativity is a product of the enemy, thus YOU have caused your own prayers to be ineffective for you. The Lord said, "I have put MY WORDS in your mouth," it is YOUR choice whether or not You will use the Word of God to your advantage. Bring God on the scene by establishing what God has already prepared for You, by speaking His promises into existence in Your own life. Surrender all to God, and STOP allowing the enemy to convince You to settle for negativity. God's word says, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (Mark 11:24). Put Your FAITH in God's ability to establish prosperity in Your life, through the very own words of Your mouth.
Prayer of the Day:
Lord God we thank you for your protection, love, grace, and forgiveness. We thank you for the peace that passeth all understanding, for bringing all those things that were once in the dark into the light, and for bringing clarity to some decisions that we need to make. Father we thank you for providing comfort to the Lampkin family as they grieve the loss of a loved one. We thank you for providing Claudette with enhanced communication skills, that she may always communicate effectively. We thank you for lifting up Tylesha, placing in her the ability to be extremely organized, to manage her time most efficiently, and to maintain the drive, dedication, and skill to achieve the highest attainable GPA throughout her Masters degree program. We thank you for keeping us filled with the Spirit, that our tongue may be tamed, only formulating words that are good to edifying that they may minister grace to the hearer. Father God we thank you for our healing, restoration, deliverance, and mended hearts. We thank you for the strength to keep moving forward with a new attitude and gratitude, we thank you for all the trials and triumphs that help mold us into better examples of what it means to be a child of Christ. We thank you for your breath of life, and for providing yourself as a refuge when we have no where else to turn. We thank you for a renewed mind, and for deliverance of our debts by providing our every need as well as the desires of our heart, as they fall in line with your word and will. Thy will be done in our individual lives Father, and we thank you for the victory of it all. In the matchless name of Jesus, Amen!
