See the FACTS (10/28/11)

Greetings Everyone,
It's the week's end, yall excited? Yall know I am, I look forward to this every Monday, LOL. Today I had to do my annual quals at the dreadful shooting range, but I passed... oh how I hate the shot gun. Anyway, may yall have a wonderfully blessed weekend, and praise God for reuniting us in fellowship next week. Continue to pray for one another and speak your desired outcome into every situation. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

Last lesson, we established that the devil does NOT want us to see God's truth. He wants our vision of life to be twisted, painting a picture of grave suffering, hopelessness, and defeat. But let's discuss some of God's truth - the FACTS. (1) Jesus died for our sins, so that we could become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Once we've accepted Jesus as Savior, ALL things concerning our spirit will become new. "This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!... For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ" (II Corinthians 5:17, 21). (2) As a believer, we become "born again," and are now heirs of God and a joint-heir of Christ. "And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering" (Romans 8:17). (3) We are free from the law of sin which produces spiritual death, therefore, we are able to fully come to the Father's presence without condemnation. "So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death" (Romans 8:1-2)You are a child of Christ who is able to partake in His divine nature, capable of fellowship with Him, and You posses the ability to use the words of your mouth to speak positivity and your desired results into every circumstance. Open your eyes to the facts and tell the enemy to step back. (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, OklahomaHarrison House, 1976.)

Prayer of the Day:
Lord we thank you for life, health, and strength. We thank you for your mercies everlasting, your power and your grace. Lord we thank you for your continued protection and for allowing us more days in fellowship. We thank you that all of our sins known and unknown are forgiven and forgotten by you. We thank you for the authority and ability in our words to claim prosperity, peace, understanding, clarity, comfort, healing, and stability into our lives. We thank you that no weapon formed against us will prosper. We thank you for your truth, wisdom, and knowledge in the Word. We thank you for every revelation and trial that has helped mold us, and we thank you for restoring our years spent in tears. These things we humbly affirm in the name of Jesus, and we thank you now for the victory, Amen!
