All honor and glory be to God! I encourage each of you to continue throughout the week, praying for one another and speaking your desired outcome into every circumstance. I also want to remind everyone NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NIV):
"Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison."
James 1:22-26 says, "But don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don't obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don't forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it. If you claim to be religious but don't control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless." A lot of folks put on a great "religious" facade that will fool the best of us, but religion is our belief system and spirituality is our manifestation of those beliefs. If your religious claim is Christianity, then your spirituality should reflect an everlasting change (continual) in Christ; EVERY aspect of your life should be reflected in Christ, dedicated to becoming more like Jesus daily. Anyone with ears and the blessing of perceiving sound, can hear, but the Word tells us to "listen to God's word." The Word doesn't stop with simply suggesting we just hear and listen to the word, no, the it tells us also to "OBEY" (adhere to). What good is it for us to learn a skill that we do not plan to put into practice? Why spend thousands of dollars on an education if you do not plan to use it? Why then would we study the Word of God, only to dismiss His guidance or pick and choose to follow His lead when it is convenient for us? Yesterday we talked about how satan is here to sabotage us, and Jesus is here to undo the damage rendered by the devil. We can easily say that we believe God's word to be true, but if we cannot control the words that we allow to depart our mouth, and are continuously allowing contradictions to God's promise to be spoken into existence by our own words, then religion (belief system) and spirituality (being more like Jesus daily) is non-existent in our lives. Without control of your tongue (the words that you speak), you may be tempted to speak contrary to God's word which is acknowledgment and acceptance of the laws that govern satan and his demons; you bind your prayers and cause them to be ineffective for you before the Father God. If your tongue is not tamed, then your words are not controlled by the Spirit, rather, they are influenced by the enemy, and your world will remain in shambles without hope. Until you can trust in God's promise that, "whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (Mark 11:24), you will be influenced by satan's negativity; that which you bind on Earth through your very own words, will also be bound in Heaven. You hold the key to having, and receiving your full blessings. If you want a live a healthy, prosperous life, then start saying what God's word says. Confess it now, "God will perfect that which concerneth me." Don't allow what you've learned through the word of God to be in vain. Hear, Listen, and Obey! Watch your words! Choose to speak God's Word, which is life, health, and healing to your flesh. (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, Oklahoma: Harrison House, 1976.)

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we praise your Holy name. We thank you for your grace and everlasting mercies. Lord we thank you for the discernment to see the enemy's attack in action, and for the strength to claim defeat over the adversary in the name of Jesus. We thank you for undoing all the mischief that the enemy has established in our lives. We thank you for restoring all those things we lost in the midst of allowing our lives to be influenced by the enemy. We thank you for delivering us from the heavy load of burdens that once weighed us down. Father God we thank you for victory, we thank you for peace that passeth all understanding, and we thank you for taming our tongue and reshaping the words that depart from our mouth. We thank you for filling us with the presence of your Spirit, that our words may always be controlled, speaking only things that fall in line with your will - things that establish life, health, peace, and prosperity into existence. We thank you for your continued protection, and for being the ultimate provider. In the name of Jesus, these are our confessions, Amen!
