I hope yall had a great holiday weekend. Do I even need to tell yall what happened on Friday? Another one of my infamous "naps," but please hold it against my flesh and not my heart. Please keep my studies in prayer, I would like to continue my honor roll streak through this Masters of Science in Psychology, thanks in advance. Continue to pray for one another and speak your desired outcome into every circumstance. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NIV):
"Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison."
Luke 6:46-48 says, "So why do you keep calling me ‘Lord, Lord!’ when you don't do what I say? I will show you what it's like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built." The analogy here, shows someone who built a sturdy foundation on something that was unshakable and already established. The Lord is telling us that His Word is our foundation. It is already established, and meant for us to build our lives upon it. Jesus based His life on the Word of God, as should we - let God be your Rock, with Him you cannot be moved. Psalm 62:1-2 says, "I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken." Life's stressors cannot shake a man or woman who believes the Word of God, fore "He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD" (Psalm 112:7). Yet, by simply knowing, hearing, and listening to the word of God, it's not enough to build a strong foundation for life. In fact, it only means that we are equipped with the right tools to build a solid foundation for our lives. Luke 6:49 warns, "But anyone who hears and doesn't obey is like a person who builds a house without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins." Knowing the word of God and choosing not to abide by it, is as bad as rejecting Christ. We destroy our own lives when we choose to build a foundation on the instability of this temporal world, rather than shape our lives on God's established word. Without God's infrastructure, we are bound to perish at even the slightest challenge from the adversary. God's Word is your FOUNDATION for living, base your life on His words; God's Word will KEEP YOU STABLE even in the storms of life. (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for another day living, for forgiveness of our sins, and for an unshakable foundation in you. We thank you that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. We thank you that we are out of debt and our needs and desires are met. Lord we thank you for being our refuge when we have no where to turn. We thank you for providing that solid foundation to base our lives upon. We thank you for your knowledge and wisdom, for your peace that passeth all understanding, and for revealing all things necessary for personal and spiritual growth, and complete knowledge in every circumstance. We thank you for our husbands and wives, for strengthened relationships, gainful employment, healthy babies, unified and tight-knitted families, excelled studies, spiritual and financial growth. These confessions we proclaim in the name of Jesus, Amen!
"It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." (Psalm 118:8)
