Recognize your blessings (10/18/11)

Greetings Everyone,
Sorry about yesterday, but by the time I got home from my parents' I had to submit my class assignments and get to bed. Anyway, today I have the most wonderful praise report. A co-worker sent me an email today informing me that she had recently suffered a critical accident that resulted in facial burns. She said that despite the fact that she was aware things could've been worse, she was still despondent, concerned about whether or not her face would completely heal. As the days progressed, so did the severity in appearance of the scars on her face. Her praise report is in relation to our current SOD series, The Tongue - A Creative Force, written by Charles Capps; this series has taught us to "speak our desired outcome into every circumstance," and that is exactly what she did. I take NO glory, ALL honor be to God, that Ms. Greer has experienced a speedy recovery with NO permanent scars left on her face. Praise be to God! YOU have the authority in YOUR words to release God's ability to work within you. Continue to pray for one another and speak your desired outcome into every circumstance. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NIV):
"Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison."

Proverbs 16:20-21, 23-24 says, "Those who listen to instruction will prosper; those who trust the Lord will be joyful. The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive... From a wise mind comes wise speech; the words of the wise are persuasive. Kind words are like honey — sweet to the soul and healthy for the body." Some of us have walked many years in disbelief of God's power, talking doubt, fear, illness, and negativity into our own lives. We boast about the devil's works, "oh the devil is on a roll." Even the media will broadcast the enemy's triumphs, glorifying them, but if we want to see what God is doing in our lives, we must turn on TBN, because CNN, Fox 11, TBS, CBS, and all the rest of the news stations are giving the adversary airtime. Matter of fact, we don't even have to turn on the church channel to see what God is doing for us, look at your life and reflect on all the good that GOD has blessed You with, despite the bad. I may not be rich at this very moment, but I am employed. I may be paying on my house, my car, student loans, and other miscellaneous bills at THIS moment, but that just means I have shelter, transportation, an education, and luxuries that someone else may not have. I may stare at my acne break outs in disgust, but at least my face is not completely disfigured and unrecognizable (refer to the lady that got her face torn off my a chimpanzee). I may have ringing in my ears from time to time, but I can hear. I may have blurry vision when my eyes get dry, but I have sight. We have so many blessings afforded us, yet we focus on the adversary's minor attempts to break us down. The Word says, "if God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31)Just because you witness the adversary's defeat around you, does NOT mean that you have to claim it in your own lifeIf you are experiencing a trial right now, speak your desired result into existence and tell the devil to flee. Do NOT activate satan's ability by focusing on your problem, instead, speak the answer - speak positivity into your life and reverse or stop the enemy's process before it starts.  Bring God on the scene by establishing what God has already prepared for You, by speaking His promises into existence in Your own life. Put Your FAITH in God's ability to establish prosperity in Your life, through the very own words of Your mouthRepetition is the key to memorizing, and practice is pivotal to getting it right.

Prayer of the Day:
Lord God we thank you for your protection, love, grace, and forgiveness. We thank you for the peace that passeth all understanding, for bringing all those things that were once in the dark into the light, and for providing us with clarity on some decisions. Lord we thank you for providing Makeba Thomas and her family with comfort in their time of bereavement. We thank you for the complete recovery of Ms. Greer. We thank you for keeping us filled with the Spirit, that our tongue may be tamed, only formulating words that are good to edifying that they may minister grace to the hearer. Father God we thank you for total healing, restoration, deliverance, and mended hearts. We thank you for the strength to keep moving forward with new attitudes and gratitude toward life, we thank you for all the trials and triumphs that help mold us into better examples of your Kingdom. We thank you for a renewed mind, for deliverance of our debts, and for providing our needs and the desires of our heart, as they fall in line with your word and will. We thank you now for the victory Father. In the matchless name of Jesus, Amen!

~~ Tylesha ~~
"It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." (Psalm 118:8)
