Force of Life (10/6/11)

Greetings Everyone,
So hows about I went to bed last night the earliest I've been in ages, before 9:30pm, and I overslept this morning. What the heck? I mean I typically get 2-3 hours of sleep each night, if that, and the night I actually get some decent rest, I over sleep. Smh... Anyway, continue to pray for one another and speak your desired outcome into every circumstance, do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NIV):
"Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison."

God's truth (the Word) is the stabilizing force of life. John 8:31-32 says, "Jesus said to the people who believed in him, 'You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.'" And in John 6:63 Jesus said, "The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life." "I can do nothing on my own. I judge as God tells me. Therefore, my judgment is just, because I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will" (John 5:30). Jesus only spoke what God guided Him to say. He tells us that the Spirit is what gives us eternal life; when God saves our soul, it our spirit that is changed and influences the flesh to act in a spiritual manner - becoming more like Christ daily. Doing things in our own understanding, and trying to accomplish anything without God in the midst of it all, at some point proves pointless. Jesus as the Word says, is our ONLY example of a PERFECT person. He was established in the Word of God, He ONLY spoke God's word, and He did that CONTINUALLY. Haven't I stressed that in most of this series? We need to be so immersed in God's word, that it becomes one with us. We need to be so wrapped up in the Word, that everything we think, do, and say, will clearly be influenced by God's will and not our own.Jesus has been the ONLY human to overcome the world and all its temptations. He said, "I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). Jesus overcame the world by the SPOKEN WORD OF GOD. Matthew 4:4,10 says, "... The Scriptures say, 'People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.' 'Get out of here, Satan,' Jesus told him. For the Scriptures say, 'You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.'" The only thing Jesus used against satan was the SPOKEN WORD - the written Word is what Jesus spoke out of His mouth to overcome the world, and we were given the same authority to use God's word as the stabilizing force in our lives. "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" (Mark 11:24)DENY the right of the enemy to exist in your life and release the ability of God IN YOU, by the AUTHORITY OF YOUR WORDS. Proverbs 4:20-23 says, "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." When you speak the word of God in faith, it is a product of your heart. A spirit programmed by the word of God, will encourage the formation of words from your mouth that fall in line with the word of God, are backed by faith, and honestly trust and DOUBT NOT God's ability and authority through your words to speak your desired outcome into existence. John 15:7 says, "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." Remember that it is through Your very own words that You establish failure or success in your life. Repetition is the key to memorizing, and practice is pivotal to getting it right. (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, OklahomaHarrison House, 1976.)

Prayer of the Day:
Lord God we praise your Holy name, thanking you for the blessings in the storm, and the joy that comes in the morning. Father God please reveal individually, to each of us, the personal message that you have intended for us to receive from this lesson, and continue to open the eyes, heart, mind, and spirit of those who may still be holding back from allowing you to reveal to them who they really are, and what specific mission you have called them to. We thank you for changed hearts, for restored spirits, for deliverance, joy, and overwhelming peace and understanding. We thank you Father for clarity of our current circumstances, for contentment despite our trials, and for the ability to use your words as the stabilizing force in our lives. Father God we thank you for allowing your Spirit to tame our tongue, that the words that depart our mouth are nothing more or less than pleasing in your sight. Hallelujah Father, we give you the highest praise, for every trial that has brought us to the point of deeper spirituality, and for every blessing that allows us to be a blessing to someone else, while we give you all the honor and praise in the process. We thank you, and we submit our desired results in prayer, only in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen!
