God's Masterpiece (10/26/11)

Greetings Everyone,
All honor, and glory to God. I'd like us to lift up Ed Bryan in his new endeavors as he crosses the threshold of retirement. Dr. Bryan is 84 years old, he's been in the Armed forces as a Medic and a Dentist, and has been the 1st person of color to achieve high ranking positions and to experience some inspirational milestones. His tenacity and energy toward life is commendable, and his accomplishments are no wonder he has the "bone density of a 20-30 year old" (insider). So as he embarks on new adventures, let's thank God for many more firsts, thanks in advance. Continue to pray for one another and speak your desired outcome into every circumstance. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."

What the enemy tries to do with our words is get us to see a distorted, unworthy, self-destructive image of ourselves, getting us to believe these things authored by him, in the core of our being - the heart. But Jesus tells us in Matthew 12:35"A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart." Jesus didn't say God will manifest good things, but that WE produce good things from a good heart, not our intellect or the mind, but the HEART. Jesus tells us that both good and bad things come from the heart, and are released from the MOUTH. "It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth" (Matthew 15:11). He goes on to tell us inMatthew 15:18-19 that, "... the words you speak come from the heart—that’s what defiles you. For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander."The devil does NOT want us to see God's truth. He wants our vision of life to be twisted, painting a picture of grave suffering, hopelessness, and defeat. But TRUTH be told, we are created IN Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." STOP allowing satan's obstacles to cloud your mind, lead you into a life of confusion, or send you to a path of hopelessness. Use your mouth to speak life into your circumstances, meaning, refuse to allow your problem to exist in your life, and CLAIM victory over the issue by speaking your desired results into existence. (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, OklahomaHarrison House, 1976.)

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we come to you with praise and thanksgiving, giving you the utmost honor and glory. Lord we thank you for Dr. Bryan's longevity and inspiration, and we thank you for his prosperous and happy future in exploring new endeavors. Father God we thank you for removing whatever covers have blinded us from satan's deceit, and for revealing to us the true vision of ourselves and the authority in our words. We thank you for the ability to speak life and favored results into existence. We thank you for the power to say to the problem and to the enemy "be thou removed," and for the confidence and assurance in knowing that it is done. We thank you for a renewed mind and spirit, that everything that flows from our heart is of good will. We thank you for forgiving our sins and helping us to forgive those who have wronged us. We thank you for your continued protection and your everlasting love and mercies. In the name of Christ Jesus, we submit our affirmations in faith, Amen!
