Release the Ability II (10/14/11)

Greetings Everyone,
I am kind of tired, took one of my infamous naps after I chowed down on some grub I made today... that itis will do it to you every time. Even though it is still Friday as I type, it will be Saturday when I send off the SOD. So I wish you well this weekend, and thank God for blessing us with a safe return to fellowship next week. Continue to pray for one another and speak your desired outcome into every circumstance. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NIV):
"Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison."

"Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh" (Matthew 12:34)That is the way good things are established - in our SPOKEN words. God gave You the power in Your words, to release His ability within You. Yesterday we spoke about turning God's Word into confessions, you can start by reading aloud the confessions from yesterday's lesson, or try this on for starters: "The power of God is in me to put me over. Greater is He that is within me, than he that is in the world. I am quickened according to the Word of God. I thank God that His ability is released within me. I stand before demons, I stand before sickness and disease, and I have no fear, because the ability of God is released within me by the words of my mouth, and by the Word of God. In the name of Jesus." Some of us often turn to God tearfully, in a state of self-pity; despite our efforts to pray, we are really thinking that, 'things will never get better.' Proverbs 15:23 says, "A man finds joy in giving an apt reply..."That goes for you giving someone a kind word, but also, for your reply to your current circumstance. So if we find joy in our reply, then why are we responding to the problem with negativity? Has negativity ever produced joy? You allow Yourself to be defeated by Your own words. STOP allowing satan to influence the words that depart from your mouth, and ACT on the Word of God. There is creative power within Your words, learn to use them wisely. Keep your eyes fixed on God's Word so that it may be conceived in your spirit (heart), formed by your tongue, and spoken out of your mouth, to RELEASE THE ABILITY OF GOD WITHIN YOU, and CLAIM DEFEAT OVER THE ENEMY and unfavorable circumstances. The Word says in Proverbs 4:20-22, "... PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT I SAY; LISTEN CLOSELY TO MY WORDS. DO NOT LET THEM OUT OF YOUR SIGHT, KEEP THEM WITHIN YOUR HEART; for they are LIFE to those who find them and HEALTH to the whole body."  (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, OklahomaHarrison House, 1976.)

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for the sacrifice of your only Son to save our sins, and to provide us with the ability in our own words to claim victory over the enemy. We thank you for taming our tongue that the words of our mouth may always be pleasing in your sight, and will always produce positive and favorable outcomes in every circumstance. Lord we thank you that you are NOT like man; you love us despite our downfalls, despite past doubts and frustrations in your abilities; you love us and forgive us unconditionally, so we thank you and praise your glorious name Father. Lord we thank you for the complete healing that has restored our spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical state of being. We thank you for joyful attitudes in the midst of adversity, cheerful moods in the face of the enemy, peace in our storms, and comfort through our trials. We thank you for your continued protection, and we praise you that our burdens, debts, and obstacles are no longer holding us hostage; we thank you for releasing those shackles of bondage and giving us the freedom to raise our hands humbly in praise to you. We thank you for the victory over sin, satan, and his demons, in the matchless name of your Son Jesus Christ, Amen!
