All honor and glory to God! I hope yall have a blessed and productive weekend. I praise God now for His protection over us, and for reuniting us again in fellowship next week. As I continue to pray for you, please remember to pray for me as well. Also, pray for others with the same passion that you would pray for yourself and your loved ones. But remember, we are praying, speaking, and thanking God for our desired results, NOT confessing the problem that once WAS. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!
Passage James 3:5-8 (NIV):
"Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison."
Jesus is the living Word of God; The Lord and the Word are one, you cannot separate the two. John 1:1 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."Jesus tells us in Matthew 10:32 that, "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven." The Word and Jesus being one implies, that if we share the Gospel with others, proud to be active Christians, then Jesus will remember us before the Father God. We submit our prayers to God through the Son Jesus; as we profess our faith in the Lord, and abide by His teachings, Jesus ensures an audience before our Heavenly Father. I John 5:15 says, "And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." As long as You are praying and CONFESSING God's word in FAITH, then rest assured that Your prayers will be heard and answered. However, understand that it is imperative to form a personal relationship with God first. Being a Christian means to be Christ-like at ALL times. Yeah, let me be the first to admit that this is NO easy task, but COMMIT to it anyway, the same way Jesus committed to a self-sacrificial offering to save our sins. Once you have made the CHOICE to follow God wholeheartedly, then your prayers will not revolve around self, rather they will automatically petition things that fall in line with the word of God. If your prayer is for material gain, monetary wealth, and for things of this sinful world, then those are probably NOT things that God has set aside for you in His PERFECT plan. Now don't misunderstand me, I am NOT telling you that God doesn't want to supply you with these types of blessings. I am simply saying that our prayers must ultimately be submitted humbly, requesting that GOD'S WILL BE DONE, and TRUSTING that HE will bless your every NEED according to HIS PERFECT PLAN FOR THE BETTER. Our personal desires are NOT always what is BEST for us. When we confess negativity and pray in unbelief, then we are releasing faith in undesired results and denying God before man. His word says, "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 10:33). How can you say that you trust God, yet doubt His ability to answer your prayers? Either you are still absorbed in self and your prayers do not fall in line with the Word of God, or perhaps it is NOT time for your prayer to be answered. The answer to our prayers will come in GOD'S TIME. Sometimes we need to endure trials for an extended period of time because, we may have missed the lesson we were to learn, or we need to be completely broken so that we can fully receive our blessings. It is necessary for some of us to endure an extended trial because, we have allowed our mind and heart to be clouded by the adversary's deceit, and have convinced ourselves that we can get through our trials alone. In the midst of our struggle, we may have forgotten to bow down and pray; trials bring God's chosen representatives back to Him one way or another, and when we give God our undivided attention, we will have a testimony that can speak volumes to someone who is lost to this world, but NOT first without withstanding and passing our test. Read Hebrews chapter 3 in its entirety, it warns against unbelief. "See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first" (Hebrews 3:12-14). It is our DUTY to share God's word with others, in FAITH and FAITHFULNESS, meaning we do NOT go astray at the first sign of trouble. We must TRUST that God's Word is TRUTH, and despite our obstacles, REMAIN in the Word and ABIDE by it. "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you" (John 15:7) We have begun to PRAY and SPEAK our DESIRED OUTCOMES because the Word of God says, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (Mark 11:24). But if You are praying in unbelief, the things that the enemy has convinced you are impossible, then Jesus will "deny" you before the Father; your prayers will NEVER get to Heaven and will NOT be heard by God if they do not fall in line with His Word. Ephesians 6:17-18 says, "Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying..." Be moved by what God's word says; speak ONLY what the Word says, STOP agreeing with the enemy, and "speak those things that be not as though they were." (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, Oklahoma: Harrison House, 1976.)
Prayer of the Day:
Father God, we thank you for supplying all of our needs according to your riches in glory. We confess that we have abundance, there is no lack. We have all sufficiency of all things, the Word says we do, and we thank you Father for it. Therefore, we give this confession in faith, knowing that you will cause it to come to us in the name of Jesus. Lord we thank you for the victory over sin, the defeat over the enemy, and deliverance from the shackles that once held us captive by the devil's deceit. We thank you for the renewing of our mind, that we are able to see your truth, and accept the blessings that come through our trials. We thank you for the revelation that negativity is contrary to your word, and the ability to defeat satan's negatives with the authority in our words, and prayers, that fall in line with your word and will for us Father. We thank you that no weapon formed against us will proper, and no matter how huge our mountain may seem, we thank you for the confidence and trust in your promise that if we confess with our mouth, and command the mountain to be removed, so shall it be through the very words of our own mouth, in faith. Father God we thank you, we thank you, we thank you, for not being like man. We thank you for never turning your back on us, even when we gave up on you. Thank you for bringing us back to you Father, for providing a way through your Son Jesus, and for loving us unconditionally. Lord, we've never known a love so genuine, so true, and so sustaining, we thank you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
