So, I started school today. I am excited. I would like to think that I will be done with school after I complete this Masters degree program, but I'm almost certain that I'm going to be a life student. SMH... unless of course, God starts to bless me with some babies instead, LOL. Anyway, keep my success a part of your positive affirmations through Christ, thanks in advance. Ok so, I told yall I've been following the Why Opposites Attract II Series from my church online, and boy oh boy, let me tell you... I watched the 2nd lesson from the 17th (Part 8) tonight, it's such a phenomenal series. The pastor talked about radio active relationships. Bad relationships are those we can walk away from and move on, but radio active relationships leave a bad taste in our mouths - following us around wherever we go, in turn, turning us into radio active people. He reveals characteristics of a radio active person and how he/she may be in a relationship. Check it out, Why Opposites Attract II series at http://www.mtrubidouxsda.org/article.php?id=13, perhaps you are or have been the radio active person in your relationship or maybe it was your mate, either way, you either need to run or get help, seriously. In the meantime, keep praying and speaking your desired outcome into every circumstance and do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!
Passage James 3:5-8 (NIV):
"Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison."
Words have the ability to work for you just as they did for Jesus. Your words can either work for or against you, whether you realize that or not. This is one of my favorite parts of The Tongue - A Creative Force; we've reached the part of the book, where Mr. Capps explains to us, how innocently spoken words can work against us. The best example I have is, when someone says something funny, and you are telling the story to someone else and say, "he had me dying." Or perhaps, someone is really getting on your nerves, your natural response is, "you're killing me." Although these things are commonly spoken out of the mouth, without any thought as to how those words manifest in our lives, this is vocabulary that was programmed by the devil; this perverse language brings forth sickness, disease, havoc, and sometimes death into our lives. That is the very "perverse" speech that the Bible warned us about in Proverbs 4:24 which says, "Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips." Death is of the devil, thus, this type of language is contrary to the word of God. Hebrews 2:14 says, "Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death." "Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death" (Revelation 20:14). We are all destined for death someday, but don't allow your very own words to send you to an early grave. The people back in the Bible days spoke life into their circumstances - they spoke the Word of God into existence, and lived up to 900 years. But our generations over the years, have allowed the devil to program death and negativity into our lives, shortening our life span to an average of 65 y/o. People are speaking cancer, and other terminal illnesses into their own lives by their very own words. But we serve a God who can say "Yes" when our doctors say "no." I recall an older lady gave a testimony at Breath of Life Seventh-Day Adventist church one Sabbath, and she spoke of having cancer, and being healing by her FAITH in God's ability - she accepted the stripes of Jesus and claimed her healing in His name, and was HEALED, just as the word says in I Peter 2:24. "The fears of the wicked will be fulfilled; the hopes of the godly will be granted" (Proverbs 10:24). Our fears activate satan's abilities, but FAITH will bring Christ on the scene. Job had everything, and in a blink of an eye, his wealth, his health, and his family were taken from him as a result of his fears. Job 3:25 says, "What I always feared has happened to me. What I dreaded has come true." Yet, he brought Christ on the scene through his faith and faithfulness amidst the trials. If you speak the word of God in faith, then it is a product of your heart. A spirit programmed by the word of God, will encourage the formation of words from your mouth that fall in line with the word of God, are backed by faith, and honestly trust and DOUBT NOT God's ability and authority through your words to speak your desired outcome into existence. The key is believing and accepting that the answer to your prayer has already manifested. DO NOT ALLOW words that contradict God's promise to depart from your mouth, ever. Remember that it is through Your very own words that You establish failure or success in your life. God's word says, "speak those things that be not, as though they were" (Romans 4:17). Repetition is the key to memorizing, and practice is pivotal to getting it right. (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, Oklahoma: Harrison House, 1976.)
Prayer of the Day:
Lord we thank you for your grace and mercy. We thank you for the peace that passeth all understanding. Father God we thank you for the knowledge that satan is a deceiver, and for the ability in our words alone to defeat the enemy. We thank you for your continued love, grace, and protection. We thank you for the ability to smile when we are hurting. We thank you for revealing what darkness has kept undercover. We thank you for providing clarity in the midst of satan's confusion. We thank you for the victory over sin, defeat over the enemy, and deliverance from a heavy load of burdens. We thank you for the strength to keep on keeping on, and the power of our words to make the devil flee. We thank you for reversing all the negative and restoring complete positivity into every facet of our lives. We thank you for keeping us filled with the Spirit, that the words that depart our mouth, no longer posses corruption, rather, our words now speak life into every circumstance. These things we claim and thank you for, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
