Greetings Everyone,
Today I found out that I am still eligible for some military educational benefits, so my plan is to enroll into my Master's Degree program within the next month or so. What's crazy is that I don't really care for school, but this saying from the movie Sister Act II says it best, "if you wanna be somebody, and you wanna go somewhere, you better wake up and pay attention." Lots of people blame their circumstances for their failures or their lack of effort toward pursuing any goals. But the reality is that, it is up to YOU to "pay attention" to what's going on around you, and learn to adapt. If it were up to me, I would've been married 6 years ago, and at least working on child number 3. Since that has clearly evaded me over the years, I chose to go to school; Our economic state proves that after obtaining one degree, the next level of education bumps the last out of the running, and it becomes a requirement to be educationally successful in order to find and maintain decent employment. So, I adapt, and I do it to the best of my abilities. Your current circumstances may not be the most desirable, but it is up to You to make the most of it; You have the ability to speak life (positive and desired outcomes) into every situation, just the same, You have the ability to speak death (curse, and bind blessings through negativity) into existence as well. Pray and Speak the ANSWER (your desired outcome) into every circumstance, and STOP dwelling on the problem. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!
Passage James 3:5-8 (NIV):
"Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison."
The Holy Spirit works on us from the inside out, and can tame our tongue if we will take heed to the Word of God, and allow the Spirit to work on us. The words that we speak can either lead to (cause) disease and sickness, or stop it. No, this is NOT a suggestion for you deny the existence of illness and disease, rather, DENY THE RIGHT of these unhealthy ailments to exist in your body, because the Word says, "now ye are the body of Christ..." (I Corinthians 12:27). Galatians 3:13-14 says, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: 'Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.' He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit." All sickness and disease fall under the "curse," but THANK GOD that Christ has REDEEMED us from the curse of the law. Therefore, when illness, disease, and viruses attempt to latch onto your body, make this confession, matter of fact, MEMORIZE this confession: "I am the body of Christ, I am redeemed from the curse, and I forbid any disease, germ, or virus to operate in this body. Every organ, and every tissue of this body functions in the perfection to which God created it to function. For greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world." DENY the right of disease and illness to exist in your body, because you are the Body of Christ. Hallelujah! (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, Oklahoma: Harrison House, 1976.)
Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for your almighty power and grace. We thank you for your everlasting love and forgiveness. We thank you for the ability, and the power in our words to reverse the very negativity that we spoke into our own lives; we thank you that despite the devil's deceitfulness, we believe in the Higher Power that is you, trusting that we have the power of healing in our words backed by a sincere faith and trust in your promise. Father we thank you now for complete healing and restoration, profound strength and confidence in our abilities, a renewed mind and spirit, and for the yearning desire to be committed to the mission you have set aside for us. Lord we thank you for new and better employment opportunities, continued education, peace in our homes, relationships, and the work place. We thank you for new unions, new beginnings, and we thank you for providing those who still seek union, with a husband or wife, and those who seek to start their family, with healthy babies. We thank you for your continued protection and for your promised victory. In the name of Jesus, we submit this prayer unto you. Hallelujah, Amen!
~~Tylesha~~
