Speak life (9/7/11)

Greetings Everyone,
By popular demand, and by that I mean my mom and I, ok maybe a few others, I have created a blog for the SOD. I will continue to send out the daily scriptures via e-mail and I will also be posting them on my blog. The URL for my blog is http://sodbytye.blogspot.com/. This can be an alternative to sending out mass e-mails to share God's Gospel, so feel free to share my blog with others, and/or send me the e-mail addresses of those interested in being placed on my distribution list. As we continue with The Tongue - A Creative Force SOD series, I want to keep reminding you that these lessons are to encourage and remind one another that we need to keep praying and saying the ANSWER, not the problem. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity. God Bless!

Passage James 3:5-8 (NIV):
"Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison."

Ok yall, so we are at the part of this book that played a pivotal role in me re-shaping my way of speaking and thinking when I was in the military; the tongue (our words) can destroy (stop) the course of nature that causes us to be healthy. You ever notice that when people ask you how you are doing, and you respond like "I think I'm getting sick," or "I'm at my wits end," that your negativity tends to manifest? I never paid much attention to that before I read this book. But afterwards, I started looking at how my negative responses usually resulted in an unfavorable outcome; "I think I'm getting sick" enhanced from a mere scratchy throat, to a fever, body aches, coughing, sneezing, and just me being "sick." Then there's "I'm at my wits end" with whatever my circumstance were at that time, and sure nuff' when I thought things couldn't get worse, they up and did. So when someone asked "How are you doing today Allen?" my response was no longer "I'm alive," I replaced that statement with "I'm blessed." I mean think about it, no matter how big your mountain may seem at a given time, someone else has it harder and they are probably still walking around with a smile. When my throat gets a lil scratchy, or I am just not feeling at my best, I no longer say, "I think I'm getting sick," nope, I say, "I'm a lil under the weather, but I'll be better tomorrow." Those simple changes helped me walk with my head high, and instead of symptoms of sickness increasing, I do typically feel better in the morning or in a day or two, as opposed to a week or more. In James chapter 3, it says, "The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire." The affirmation of negativity, claiming those sicknesses, claiming disease, claiming the incurable, when God gave us the Blood of the Lamb by way of Jesus' crucifixion to provide us with healing, only binds the healing ability that God has provided within to make us whole. The law of Genesis says everything produces after its kind; speaking sickness, disease, and defeat releases negative words that will stop the course of our natural healing (the body's ability to fight off illness), and it will stop divine healing (God's intervention to say "yes" when the doctors say "no"). The Word says that "NO HUMAN BEING can tame the tongue," but that is NOT a reason for you to make excuses for the constant negativity that YOU choose to release from YOUR mouth. If you continue to allow God to reign over all of your affairs, and allow the Spirit to lead, then the words of your mouth can be tamed by the Spirit of Truth. Naw, we can't tame our own tongue, nor can we do anything in our own strength, it is ONLY by our Father God, through His Son Jesus, that we are able to do ALL things in His name. We already have the ability to speak life (positive outcomes) into every situation, we just have to learn to use what we already have (our words), by saying and praying the answer to the problem  (our desired outcome), IN FAITH (complete trust in the Lord's promise without any doubts). The answer is in your confession; it is BELIEVING and CONFESSING what the Word says, "be thou REMOVED." Continually confess that although the problem seems to have gotten worse "thank you Father, in the name of JESUS, my burden has been REMOVED." There is creative power within our words, so we must learn to use our words wisely. Repetition is the key to memorizing, and practice is pivotal to getting it right. (Capps, Charles. The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, Oklahoma: Harrison House, 1976.)

Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for the sacrifice of your only Son to save our sins and provide us with a super natural healing that science cannot understand. We thank you for taming our tongue that the words of our mouth may always be pleasing in your sight, and will always produce positive and favorable outcomes in every circumstance. Lord we thank you that you are NOT like man; you love us despite our downfalls, despite past doubts and frustrations in your abilities, you love us and forgive us unconditionally, so we thank you and praise your glorious name Father. Lord we thank you for complete healing that has restored our spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical state of being. We thank you for joyful attitudes in the midst of adversity, cheerful moods in the face of the enemy, peace in our storms, and comfort through our trials. We thank you for your continued protection over each of us individually, our families, our friends, our homes, our modes of transportation, and those homes and families in our surrounding areas. We thank you for the ability to smile even though our mountain appears to be too big, but we thank you that it is all a part of the devil's facade, and we praise you that our burdens, debts, and obstacles are no longer holding us hostage; we thank you for releasing those shackles of bondage and giving us the freedom to raise our hands humbly in praise to you. We thank you for the victory over sin, satan, and his demons, in the matchless name of your Son Jesus Christ, Amen!
