Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God! Be encouraged to share any praise reports from you, or anyone you may know of, because that testimony may be just what someone else needs to help them get through their tribulation. It's been a while since we've last met in fellowship, as I chose to take a break to focus on my degree program. To God be the glory, I will be graduating on the 15th with my Master's of Science in Psychology. Now, I will have more time to build up my non-profit organization, Fostering Mind, Body, and Soul Incorporated (FMBS Inc.); I am also seeking volunteers and miscellaneous and/or monetary contributions (for more info visit the website at http://fmbs-inc-bytye.org, the site will be updated soon to include newly appointed board members and volunteers). Additionally, I challenge you to strive toward better nutrition, fitness, and overall health; allow me to be your health coach... together we will achieve results. If you want to think better, live better, look and feel better, you need to change something in your routine; CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN, START YOUR TRANSFORMATION TODAY, by feeding your mind, body, and soul. Continue to keep one another in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose sight of God in the midst of adversity, God Bless!
Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."
For those of you just joining us or those of you returning, we completed the "power of the tongue" series, and moved forward with addressing each of the daily affirmations of faith listed at the back of the book, The Tongue - A Creative Force written by Charles Capps. I recommend that as you follow along with these daily confessions, you choose those that are most suitable for your circumstance and repeat them three times daily like a dose of medicine; when man says "no," our Father in Heaven has the authority to still say "yes." As a refresher: the daily confessions are listed in the book under specific categories in which I will list in bold, followed by the affirmation of faith italicized, and concluded with the scripture from which it was derived. You may shoot me an email request or check my blog (listed in my signature) for past lessons and/or a complete list of the daily affirmations of faith, thanks.
To defeat worry and fear:
"No evil will befall me neither shall any plague come nigh my dwelling. For you have given your angels charge over me and they keep me in all my ways, and in my pathway is life and there is no death," derived from Psalm 91:10-11 and Proverbs 12:28 (Capps, 1976, p. 152). Reference:Capps, C. (1976). The Tongue - A Creative Force. Tulsa, Oklahoma: Harrison House
Psalm 91:10-11 says, "no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go." "The way of the godly leads to life; that path does not lead to death" (Proverbs 12:28). God has given His angels charge over our lives, although they may not be visible to the human eye, except on special occasions yet still unbeknownst to us, they surround and watch over us daily. As long as our pathway is the one that falls in line with God's will, death occurs only in the flesh; our souls however lay in rest until Jesus' return, at which point we will live eternally in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for another year of healthy living, for forgiveness of our sins, and for providing a solid foundation to base our lives upon. We thank you for your knowledge and wisdom, for your peace that passeth all understanding, and for revealing all things necessary for our personal and spiritual growth. We thank you for complete knowledge and clarity of every circumstance we come up against, for contentment despite our trials, and for the ability to use your Word as the stabilizing force in our lives. Father God we thank you for allowing your Spirit to tame our tongue, that the words that depart our mouth are nothing more or less than pleasing in your sight. Father God we thank you for helping us to remain in your Word, and abide by it. We thank you for helping us to speak those things that be not as though they were, and to have the faith in you that the victory is already won. Lord we thank you for being our refuge when we have no where else to turn. Lord we claim now success and prosperity, we claim victory over all obstacles, and we claim freedom from any bondage that has held us captive. We bind now every evil, malicious attempt against us and confess that no weapon formed against us shall ever prosper. We bind now and claim the enemy's efforts ineffective against us in the matchless name of Jesus. We submit this affirmation of faith in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
Respectfully,
Tylesha "Tye" Allen
