Greetings Everyone,
All honor and glory be to God! Hope
yall had a great day. Mine would’ve been better had I not spent most of it in
the restroom... I won’t get into details, but I will say that for about 24
hours I was not my normal self. I am feeling better right now, thank goodness,
because I ended up skipping my workout today. It’s cool though, because today
was my light day, so I guess I have to work twice as hard tomorrow to make-up
for today. Anyway, let’s continue to work together to spread God’s Gospel, and
encourage one another to take steps that lead to a healthy overall mind, body,
and soul; as we feed the mind and spirit with the Word of God, let us also feed
our bodies with better nutrition. The ONLY obstacle in your way is YOU, so
figure out what YOU want to change in your life; there is NOTHING TO IT BUT TO
DO IT! To notice a difference in your life, you have to do something
differently – CHANGE what you allow to enter your body; breathe, eat, and drink
the word, and be more productive and active. CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN, START
YOUR TRANSFORMATION TODAY; do NOT put this off until tomorrow, because tomorrow
is NOT promised. Continue to keep one another
in prayer, thanking God for the victory, and refraining from claiming defeat
from the enemy; ALWAYS pray for your desired result, NOT the
unfavorable outcome. Do NOT lose
sight of God in the midst of adversity, God
Bless!
Passage James 3:5-8 (NLT):
"In the same way, the tongue
is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great
forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of
wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire,
for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals,
birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It
is restless and evil, full of deadly poison."
To defeat worry and fear:
"The Word of God is forever
settled in heaven. Therefore, I establish His Word upon the earth" derived from Psalm 119:89 (Capps, 1976, p. 153). Reference: Capps, C. (1976). The Tongue - A Creative
Force. Tulsa, Oklahoma: Harrison House
Psalm 119:89-91 says, "Your eternal word, O Lord, stands firm in heaven. Your
faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth you created.
Your regulations remain true to this day, for everything serves your plans.” This
passage is a testament to my statement that the Word is the Word; no matter
its translation, the message in God’s Word remains the same. Although the
Bible was written in a different time frame and verbiage differs than terms
utilized in today’s society, the guidelines and commands are still relevant
today. No matter age, gender, creed, or race, God’s commands are universal;
thou shall not kill, thou shall no covet thy neighbor’s wife, honor thy mother
and father, keep the Sabbath holy, and so forth. Regardless
of the Old or New Testament, His Words do NOT differ nor does His commands.
Thus, as it was before Christ, as it was after, and as it is in the present,
our goal as Christians is to become Christ-like. Who
we are should mirror God’s image; when people look at your walk, they should
not question who your Father is. Therefore, if who you are behind
closed doors, differs from who you are in public, then you have some changes to
make. Before you can help anyone else, you must help yourself.
Prayer of the Day:
Father God we thank you for this day, for
forgiveness of our sins, and for providing a solid foundation to base our lives
upon. We thank you for the peace that passeth all understanding, and for the
revelation that your Word both Old
and New are still relevant today. We
thank you for the ability to use your Word as the stabilizing force in our
lives, to claim and accept the authority in our words to rebuke the rulers of
the darkness of this world; through the words of our mouths, we take back
everything the devil has stolen from us. We cancel every plot, plan, and scheme
the enemy has devised against us in the matchless name of Jesus, and declare
that no weapon formed against us will prosper. We thank you for allowing your
angels to do our bidding on Earth without recourse. We thank you in advance
that our needs and desires are met. We submit this affirmation of faith in the
name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
Respectfully,
Tylesha "Tye" Allen
